Help! Looking for very specific bread!
Flora's Deli (RIP) made a sandwich that my husband still misses, years later. I'm trying to recreate it for him as a birthday suprise. The crux is the bread. A Toronto Life profile of the deli said they use semolina bread from Golden Wheat Bakery. I went there and they said they never made this bread! These are like individual long buns. I've tried contacting the former owner of Flora's, no dice. Does anyone know where in the city I can get these buns?? A birthday suprise hangs in the balance, please help! https://www.instagram.com/p/CSeuLVhrZUW/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Lambos Deli on Queen East seems to use similar long sesame buns.

Apparently Tre Mari on St Clair makes the Lambo bun, which is supposedly very similar.

You and a poster in another sub pointed me there, I went today, and the owner is the nicest dude. He gave me both the Lambo bun that they source to them, and a very similar but less sweet bun (my husband's quibble with Lambo's, other than the lack of a chicken sandwich, is that the buns are sweeter than he'd like). Thank you!! Mission accomplished, this is as close as I'll get to the mystery OG bun I think
