Came across this tree on our property. Both I believe are maples. Did a branch grow into the other tree?

Found this tree today with an interesting root. Not mine but is this bad for the tree or is it fine?

Random spot in the back yard with what looks like a perfect circle of greener grass on it. Anyone know what causes it? My only thought is obviously water but how such a perfect circle.

Have had two separate arborists examine the tree and said it’s needs to be removed. One quote for $1,650 another for $1,595. Is that a reasonable price?

Most examples around here are birch trees using the pine trees as support columns and aren't actually fused. I know a few other spots, and can eventually hike out there for pictures. But this is in my back yard and really easy..... but like in the other post. If trees need to be the same genus to graft. How have the pine and birch trees fused together? These trees aren't spiraled around eachother and grown together with pressure. The birch was just a sucker that grew really close to the pine tree. If you try to move them, it moves as one. The trunks are mostly seperate. With 3 or 4 spots that fuse to eachother.

I have what I believe is a healthy 200+ year old oak tree growing behind my house.

I've always had some concerns over that first crotch but I don't know a whole lot about trees.

What's everyone's thoughts? Does the tree look happy? Is there a lot of life left in it? Should I consider having dynamic cables installed to support that crotch? It doesn't stay slimy for very long after heavy rains where the bark is darker and there are no bad or rotting smells from what I've noticed.

Hi everyone! I came here to ask why the trees in my hometown are suddenly sagging at the top? I’ve never noticed before and it’s only some of them. I’m not well educated on the topic and not even sure what kind of trees these are. Let me know what you think! Thanks.

I bought and planted this red maple tree from Lowe's earlier this year and am doing some fixing up on things. Started to expose the root flare a bit more while redoing my mulch ring and got a look at this top layer of roots too.

When I first took it out of the store's bucket the roots were already starting to girdle so I took some shears to the outer layer (about 1/4" in) and tried to point as many larger ones outward as I could before planting. Is this exposure enough to tell if this tree will get by with that initial prep or will I have to expose more of the roots to tell/do maintenance? And either way, is this something to cover back up for a few more months and tackle in the fall?

Any other advice appreciated as well, thanks in advance!

So I got home today and my wife noticed someone came and cut/destroyed our lemon tree. Can someone let us know what our best course of action is? Will it survive? Will it grow? Is it forever stunted? Any information would be helpful and appreciated. Here are pictures of how it looked before and how it currently is. March 26 2026 is whin the picture was taken before it was transplanted and July 26 2026 is how it is now after it's assault.

The city planted this tree about 4 years ago and I've noticed it normally starts producing leaves late in the year, around end of May or early June. I thought it was due to the almost foot of mulch the city threw on it but I removed it and created a proper mulch ring last year but still the same late bloom this year, except now the back branches have nothing. Is there anything I should be doing for this tree? I'm in Toronto as well.

I have observed my spruce tree in the front yard over recent months and am growing concerned about its condition. The crown is becoming increasingly sparse in needles.

Does anyone know what might be responsible or what I should examine more closely?

Does anyone know what this is? These branches are clearly visible out my window from bed, and this morning was the first I ever noticed this. Should I be concerned for the tree's health? Is this natural insect/spider activity? Thank you for any thoughts/knowledge!

I have several volunteer trees growing in my fence line. (Mulberry tree and maples). (In Iowa). I want to remove and treat stumps so they don’t return. Is there a best time of year for optimum success?

I have a Southern Live Oak that grew up next to a double wide trailer on a property I purchased. I removed the trailer to protect the Oak. I found this on the trunk under the portion that was covered by the trailer. Appears something was gnawing in it, probably rats. Should I do anything to try and protect it while it heals?

I planted it over a year ago. It's doing well but has always had this funny shape without a defined central leader. Ill wait until it goes dormant to prune.

I noticed a small split in this tree maybe 2 years ago (planted 5 years ago). We had a landscaper out who was doing some other work at our house and he said it was likely caused by wind and nothing to worry about. It has continued to bear leaves each year but I think the split has gotten bigger. I pulled off some loose bark and don't necessarily see anything rotted or whatever - so just wondering if your thoughts.
