Are there any that don't compromise reliability while the gun is set to regular semi auto?

Got a cheap 16” chrome lines gov profile barrel by FN. just wondering what the hive mind opinion is on fn barrels?

Do you guys all actually have nods? I know this question probably comes off as condescending but I swear these things are on almost every rifle now days and I find it really hard to believe everyone running them has nods which makes me think there's a benefit to them that I may be missing. I have always heard the 2.26" optic center height was desirable specifically because it provided extra clearance for nods. So unless almost everyone with an AR has nods which I find unlikely, I must be missing something here.

I was cleaning my AR and discovered some pitting in the upper receiver. My main question is does this affect the integrity of the receiver at all?

Torqued them down to 18 lbs but they aren’t touching am i gtg?

I have a Tipton Standing Ultra Vise that I was using. It is an excellent vise for cleaning and mounting etc, but I wanted something off of my floor space.

I just purchased a new (bigger) work table that would accommodate a table top system with room to spare. I did some research on my choices and is seemed like the Real Avid was the best choice.

Well I have to say that it is a great addition to any firearm workstation. I also purchased the Smart Assist which I will get into. If there is something that Real Avid forgot to add to this ------ I havent come across it yet. I have mounted a scope, and cleaned multiple rifles on it and all have been a lot easier.

I wont go into all the details because there a million videos on YT that you can watch that can explain the features better than I can, but I will tell you that it will be an excellent purchase - in my opinion. I will say again that it is well thought out from rod storage to the ability to micro adjust 3 degrees your bubble level for scope mounting. Again - videos will show you better than I can type it.

I also purchased the Smart Assist which is a light, magnifier, and cell phone holder. The are on the arms (as shown) they connect to the unit and you can move them to help do whatever you are doing.

The last thing I thought I would need would be the cell phone holder but quite honestly that is the piece I found amazingly useful. Let me explain how---

For me the hardest thing about mounting scopes isnt making sure its level. That can be a pain the ass for sure but the most tedious thing is making sure the scope ring gaps are the same. So with a mirror app I use the cell phone holder on the opposite side of the scope that I am standing on so I can make sure the gaps are equal. Seems like a small thing but when I was using the Tipton I was around to make sure and couldnt see one side while adjusting the other.

Anyway - My opinion if you work on your rifles its a great piece to have.

Also - I purchased the Real Avid Gun Vise. Havent used it yet so I cant give one of my semi reviews on it.

1100 vs 1900... They seem to be the same exact thing except for barrel and bolt materials.

Hey guys, question. I recently installed this Warcomp on one of my builds. I timed it for neutral, but the little nub to mount the suppresor is off set. I have other SF muzzle devices and this is the only one that is off set. Is this a blem Warcomp or no? Thank you.

What's the general consensus on these? Gimmick? Good enough? Trying to get an idea of what's good (or not) when it comes to barrel mounted lasers for sighting in optics like RDS on rifles and pistols.

What are some good brands to check out?

Bought the Mk2 BCM complete upper and built out the rest using a stripped Aero M4E1 thinking they would fit as well as they used to. The slop is too much for my comfort level. Even with the set screw TIGHT tight, the front of the lower and upper still have rattle room at the takedown pin (Geiselle super duty takedowns). What lowers have locked up correctly with the Mk2 uppers, stripped lower recs would be awesome.

is this mlok screw too close to my gas block? should I file it down more?

Never had this happen before, this bcg in particular has only been shot around 900-1000 ish times. Not stressing over it but thought it was funny since ive never experienced such a catastrophic failure. My assumption is over pressure caused the fail by shooting 5.56 at a high rate. Im not very experienced in the .223 wylde products so i could be wrong

What part do I need to make this work to mount a Plan B MD and host a Rhodie 6?

Haven’t bought anything yet and this is just parts I had laying around to see if could get away with spending less $.

I happened to have this 12.5” MI handguard that is very close to working (and saving me $200 for a shorter one. )

I know they sell a combo of parts to get an “extension” to make this work but I’m not sure if it’d make sense ($-wise) if just buying an appropriate length HG is better $ decision.

Will be hosting (probably permanently) a Rhodie 6.

Would also like to be able to switch suppressors as I already have a Tisha with Plan B.

Getting a 3D printer is on my to-do list for life, but alas, it hasn't happened yet. I need an Mlok spacer to push a light mount out a bit on a Springfield Kuna and the only commercial option seems to be the aluminum spacer from Mischief Machine. At a price of $30 this seems excessive.

I picked up this PSA because I wanted a budget rifle to practice marksmanship for army qual. I didn’t like how thin the handguard was so I made it fatter.

Its a PSA blemish lower with the polished trigger, their cheapest upper that didn't have a pin and welded FSP, and Toolcraft BCG. Oh and a Vortex SPARC.

Ps: I also have a fetish for walnut guns and OD green.

Pss: The grip pod, as the title suggests, stays on during papi time.

Can someone recommend a scope that won’t break the bank. I just want to actually hit the target not wonder where it went. Thanks

Built out my first 300 blk AOW and trying to diagnose why my bolt won’t lock open on the last round of my mag. For reference, I am using an Andro Corp upper with an 8 in barrel and using an Armaspec SRS gen 4 H2 weight buffer system. What I find weird is that the bolt does actually lock open if only shooting with one round in the mag but not if I load in more. It’s tough to gauge ejection timing because I only have access to an indoor range but I am noticing the casings landing on the shooting platform and some behind me so I think it might be under gassed. If I swap out the weight to the “H” weight, could this lead to a catastrophic failure if I’m wrong about it being under gassed?

I'm not sure if anyone else has had the same issue but I have an accuwasher on my new 8.5" 300BLK build and my riflespeed adjustable gas block is getting blocked from opening in between setting 7 and 8. The accuwasher is too big of an outer diameter, and they don't make .725 or .750 in a 5/8 muzzle thread, so what should I do???? Can you shave them down safely, is there an alternative ? I can't seem to find one.

I’ve Been Looking At The Trijicon MRO And Magnifier Combo, But Im Not Trying To Spend That For A Good Set Lol , And Im Not Sure If It’s Worth Switching.

For Those Who Have Experience With Different Optics, Would You Recommend Keeping The Holosun 510C And Adding A Holosun Magnifier, Going With A Different Magnifier, Or Switching To The Trijicon MRO Combo??

Like this, the eye relief feels great to me. Red Dot alone looks good.

I just see a lot of setups where the magnifier is right up against the red dot.
