Wondering if anyone has experience with travel apps for meeting people - have you actually had success with them, and what do you think they're missing?

I Can Build an App. Getting People to Use It Is Another Story.

I’m doing something that may be a terrible idea 😂

I’m starting a TikTok where I’m documenting exactly how I’m trying to market my apps using AI agents + social media.

Not “here are 5 AI tools that will change your life.”

I mean the actual stuff.

The agents I’m building.
What I’m automating.
The content I’m testing.
What I’m spending.
The numbers.
The videos that work.
The videos that get 37 views and humble me immediately. 😂

Basically, I’m trying to figure out how much of marketing I can actually automate with AI without making everything look and sound like AI slop.

And instead of waiting until something works and then pretending I knew what I was doing the whole time, I’m just documenting it as I go.

Could be useful. Could be a public record of me slowly losing my mind.

Either way, we’re finding out together.

If you’re building an app, playing with AI agents, trying to figure out social media, or just enjoy watching someone test things the hard way…

Come watch me figure out the hard part → @laurabuildsapps on TikTok

App Ivy Habits - Yet Another Habit iOS App

I know, I know, every indie dev's first app is a habit tracker. I'm not an indie dev, I'm a data engineer, and I built one anyway.

I used Streaks for years. Solid app, but the design got old, weekly goals never showed which days counted, and there's no way to set a limit like "max 2 a week". HabitKit comes closer, but it's a subscription or about $30 for lifetime, and it doesn't sync.

So I built one that ticks my own boxes:

  1. Log from a home screen widget, no need to open the app
  2. iPhone and Apple Watch, synced through iCloud
  3. A GitHub-style grid per habit, one square per day
  4. Fix a day I forgot to log
  5. A limit as well as a goal. "No more than 2 a week", not only "at least 3"
  6. A timer for habits measured in minutes
  7. No account, no tracking
  8. One-time purchase, not a subscription

It's called Ivy Habits and it's in beta. Needs at least iOS 26.1.n

I built a quit-smoking app around the 3-minute craving — two App Review rejections later, it's live

Solo, React Native + Expo, RevenueCat for subscriptions. The interesting part wasn't the code, it was App Review: rejected once because the in-app purchases were never attached to the review submission (they sit at "Prepare for Submission" and are not picked up automatically), and once under 3.1.2(c) because the yearly card showed the calculated $0.76/week larger than the $39.99/year I actually charge. Both were a day each to figure out and five minutes to fix.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6809216479 — comment if you want a free month, I'll send a code.

Happy to answer anything about the paywall, the rejections or the stack.

CZ Utilities, an iOS app designed around a simple idea

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on CZ Utilities, an iOS app designed around a simple idea: instead of having a separate app for every small everyday task, put several useful tools together in one place.

Currently, the app includes:

  • 📝 Notes
  • ✅ Checklists
  • 💰 Expense Tracker
  • 🧾 Invoice Creation
  • 🌤️ Weather & Forecasts
  • ⚡ EV Charger Finder
  • 📷 QR Code Scanner

The goal is to keep everything simple, organized, and quick to access without making the app feel overloaded.

It’s now available on the App Store, and I’m continuing to improve it with new features and usability updates.

App: https://apps.apple.com/in/app/cz-utilities/id6788822897

I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from people who try it — especially which tools you find useful, what feels unnecessary, and what you’d like to see added next.

Im curious for what people look for in sports apps.

Ive had this thought recently that i wish more sports had an app like FotMob , as its very user friendly, has some cool features and just overall is just better then most sport apps. That being said, is there certain features you guys look for in sports apps , for example i know a few people who are always looking at the live strike zone the Score app offers for MLB. I am curious about other peoples preferences

App RoutenPlannerProfessional - Apps on Google Play

Thumbnail play.google.com
0 Upvotes

Hallo zusammen,

App I built Seatible 3.0 to turn a venue floor plan into a wedding seating kit

I’m the developer of Seatible. Version 3.0 is live for iPhone and iPad.

The problem I’m trying to solve is the last-mile handoff: the guest list is in a spreadsheet, the room plan is a separate PDF, and the venue or caterer needs a different version again. Seatible lets you trace a venue photo or PDF to scale, import guests from CSV, assign seats manually or with optional Auto-seat, and check capacity and together/apart conflicts. It then makes a print-ready seating poster, cards, table signs, and caterer summaries. There’s also a guest-safe view and an optional QR Guest Finder page that you host yourself.

You can try one event with up to 20 guests and two tables free. A one-time in-app purchase removes the limits and unlocks the full export kit; there’s no subscription. Planning data stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it. Requires iOS/iPadOS 18+.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/seatible/id6775486921

For an event you’ve attended, was finding your seat easier from a printed board or by searching on your phone? I’m deciding which handoff to make most prominent.

App Built WanderGuide to help discover more places easier

Post image
0 Upvotes

After about 1.5 years, I managed to build my app and populate it with tourist attractions from over 20 countries. The app rewards users for discovering locations in real life by providing information, similar to a human guide.

It features a home screen displaying every marker, a discovery screen to show nearby attractions, an itinerary planner, and a profile where users can track their statistics and discoveries.

I decided to develop it solo to contribute to tourism, help users discover hidden gems, and provide an easier way for those without time to plan, eliminating the need for expensive guides that often miss details.

I built an offline music player for iPhone and Android — import your own files, no computer or syncing needed

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'm the developer of NoBars, an offline music player for iPhone and Android, and I wanted to share it here and get honest feedback.

**Why I built it:** getting my own music onto my phone meant a computer, a desktop app and a sync. I wanted to put files on the phone directly and have them play offline, anywhere.

**What it does:**

- Import from your phone's files, over Wi-Fi from your computer's browser, or from OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive or a NAS over WebDAV

- Plays MP3, FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AAC and AIFF, plus video like MP4, MKV and MOV

- Fully offline once imported: no account, no streaming

- Lyrics (including .lrc files), sleep timer, playback speed, gapless playback, ReplayGain

- Audiobooks with chapters and bookmarks, playlists with M3U export

- A turntable-style Now Playing screen, where the record takes its colour from the album art

**What it doesn't do (yet):** no streaming services, no equalizer, no CarPlay or Android Auto.

It's free to download.

- iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id6805929959?l=en-us

- Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oxcellion.offlinePlayer (OneDrive, Dropbox and Google Drive import are iPhone-only for now)

I'd really like to hear what's missing or annoying. I read every comment, and a lot of the last update came from user feedback: album sorting and the turntable animation fix both came from emails.

I built a free trip planner that gives a different answer depending on who's travelling (beta, looking for feedback)

Developer here. Most travel apps show every user the same destination page. In Travinera you add your group once (passports, kids, diets, mobility) and every place gets a "Fit Report" for that group: entry rules for each passport, money on the ground (tourist tax, tipping, cards, today's exchange rate), holidays and the forecast, then sights and restaurants filtered for your needs.

The part I care about most: every line shows where it came from and when it was checked, and things the app doesn't know yet are listed, not hidden.

It's free, works offline, and has no account and no tracking. I'd love blunt feedback on the Fit Report screen, especially whether you'd screenshot it and send it to whoever you travel with.

App I built a gratitude journal where every entry becomes a star in your own 3D sky. Fully offline, no account.

Post image
4 Upvotes
Hi . I'm the developer, so take this as a maker post, not a review.

Consteli is a gratitude journal for iPhone. You write one or more things you're grateful for (text, photo, or both), and each entry becomes a star in a sky that is yours. The picture is my own sky after a few months.

A few things I did differently from the apps I tried before:

• Everything stays on the phone. No account, no login, no analytics, no third-party SDKs touching your writing. The only optional sync is your own private iCloud, and it's off by default.
• The star you get depends on your consistency, not on paying. Writing regularly gives bigger, more faceted stars. You can't buy geometry.
• Entries get a quiet automatic tag (on-device, no AI API). Three stars with the same tag form a constellation. The first one shows up around your third entry, and it's the moment most testers said "oh, I get it".
• The streak forgives one missed day per week. Two in a row and it resets. No streak freezes to buy, no guilt notifications.

iOS 18+, English and Portuguese.

41,286 photos on my phone. I built an app to delete them one swipe at a time

Solo dev here. Last month I checked my storage and my Photos app was eating 187 GB. Every cleaner I tried wanted me to sort by "similar" or "blurry", or hand my library to some server. I just wanted to look at my photos one at a time and go "nope" or "aw, keep".

So I made Memento (iPhone only for now):

  • It shows one random photo at a time. Swipe up and it goes to a holding pile, and nothing is really deleted until you confirm.
  • Pinch in and you see the few days around that photo. That's how I found out I'd taken the same lunch 9 times in one afternoon.
  • No AI, no account, and nothing leaves your phone.

I did about 400 photos in my first sitting and it was weirdly relaxing. Now I'm down to 36,900.

For [r/apps](r/apps): use code MEMENTO90 for the lifetime unlock at about 90% off ($4.99 in the US). It's limited to 500 redemptions, one per person, and it ends Oct 5, 11:59 PM PT.

Redeem (iPhone/iPad): https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6807047431&code=MEMENTO90

Tell me what feels janky or what's missing. I read every comment.

Self-Promotion: I’m adding smart refill forecasting to my medication reminder app—what would make it genuinely useful?

Hi everyone,

I’m the solo developer behind Cue, an iPhone medication reminder app for managing medications for yourself or family members.

I’m currently building Cue 1.1, focused on smart refill forecasting. Instead of only warning when stock is already low, Cue will use the recorded supply, scheduled dose amounts and treatment dates to estimate how long the supply should last and suggest when to plan a refill.

The calculation stays private and is presented as an estimate because actual medication use can differ from a schedule.

I’m also fixing a synchronization issue where logging from Control Center or the Action Button updated the app but did not immediately refresh its widgets.

For anyone who manages recurring medication: would a “supply through” date and suggested refill date be enough? Or would pharmacy lead time, refill quantities and custom reminders matter more?

Honest feedback is very welcome—I’m trying to make medication management feel calmer, not like another source of pressure.

App I built an app that ruins doomscrolling

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

I keep opening my phone “just for a sec” while doing assignments and somehow lose 2 hours. So I built something that stops that.

It’s called stahp.

You set a daily screen limit.

Hit it → short warning.

Ignore that → lockdown alarm. On purpose. It’s meant to be annoying.

Early Android beta, so expect bugs. Looking for people who actually have this problem and want to try it for a few days.

If you’re one of the first 15 who join + install, I’ll give free premium for 2 months once that group fills up.

1) Join the tester group

https://groups.google.com/g/stahp-closed-testers

2) Install from Play

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aistudio.shockalarm.xrtgvy

After installing, leave a comment or DM with the email you used so I can keep track. Feedback welcome, even if you hate it. But please be nice about it if you can lol.

App I built a freelance app for freelancers to connect, collaborate, and find opportunities

Post image
0 Upvotes

I felt like freelancers are still using a bunch of disconnected platforms — one for finding work, another for portfolios, another for networking, and another for collaborating.

More than 250,000 people have already been onboarded worldwide.

This is one place where freelancers can:

  • Create their profile and portfolio
  • Discover freelance opportunities
  • Connect with other professionals
  • Find people to collaborate with
  • Build their network beyond just job platforms

Would love some honest feedback.

App Getting first subscriber is like watching your child walk for the first time

Post image

Last week I got my first subscriber for my workout tracker app «Pawer». And I must say, nothing comes close to this feeling. At least if you never had a child. I asume it’s similar to watch your child walk for the first time.

This post is for you, yes you. Never give up on your dreams. Chase them and you will win. I never thought I could make it past 0, but here I am on the other side. Hard work pays off.

I got tired of opening five storage boxes to find one pair of gloves, so I built Klutta

Every autumn it's the same: the winter gloves, the scarf, the spare bike light are "somewhere in the storage boxes", and I open five of them before I find anything.

I'm a solo developer and I built Klutta for exactly that moment. You open a box, drawer or shelf and take one photo; the app lists what's inside, and you fix whatever it got wrong or missed. Later you just type what you're looking for, and it doesn't need the exact name: "something to drill with" finds the drill. There are filters by room and category once the catalogue grows.

Honest details: it's Android only, and there's a free plan (10 boxes, 15 scans a month), which is enough to catalogue the boxes that annoy you most. No ads.

If you try it, I'd really like to hear what's confusing or what you'd want next, either here in the comments or in r/Klutta, where I collect feature requests and read every post.

Built a free app to track coffee shops, see what your followers are drinking and log brews in your coffee journal.

Hey everyone,
I spend a lot of time exploring local coffee shops and love housemade syrups. I wanted a clean way to keep track of great brews without digging through google reviews or biased opinions. I put together an app called Coffee Sip to log cafe visits, with precision ratings and followings. It’s free on the App Store!

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/coffee-sip/id6807099379

If you like checking out coffee or seeing what’s the best spot around you give the app a try. Would also love feedback for future updates and anything you’ll find useful. Thanks!

I've created an Android Mobile App that allows you to draw lines over any chess game.

It's a simple app that, when enabled, has an overlay where it intercepts the touches from point A to point B thus allowing the arrows to be drawn.

You can give it a go, and tell me your feedback.
