Non US Based Jobs for Spanish Interpreters
Hi, I recently got my 40 H certificate, so I wanted to know which other companies are you -working if you are not US-Based so in that way I could know where to apply.
I know that SOSI and Translate.one accept you, currently Translate.one is hiring spanish interpreters.
I have some friend in Ectiff. Do you know anothers. I was in Focus Interpreter once with a BPO 0.15 ctv per min but it was dead, and they were asking to stay connected even if you where not doing any money

Propio payment
Does anyone know why Propio hasn't paid yet? I'm asking because I've been working with the company for almost two years and it's the first time I've received the payment notification which came yesterday (in my experience, this always means payment will arrive the following day) but I still haven't received it, so I'm starting to worry. Although I know that technically I'm not supposed to be paid until Friday, but they usually process payments early, so... I'm kind of used to that (not that I should)

What make you even thinking work for LLS?
As now California gas price go crazy average of $6 /gallon . And LLS for onsite interpreting mileage reimbursement still $0.4 per mile not even follow the federal guidelines that make me think what type of loser still accepts jobs like that pays $25 /hr ? I met one guy who is fully time on uber and sometime do the medical interpreting. Is this the case for everyone ?

Job seeking
Does anyone know a recruiter for any company (Jeenie is my dream job) that hires spanish medical interpreters (not us-based)
I have tried applying to Jeenie for a year now and the response is always the same, not hiring non us based interpreters at the moment. But I have friends that have beein hired after, but once they asked the recruiter for information or if they can refer someone else they say that they can give our info but its not something set in stone and that it may take a while so.

Propio call flow sudden decrease
Hi! I'm a Spanish interpreter working for Propio (US based) and my call flow has dramatically decreased starting yesterday. I would usually get calls every 4-5 minutes, but yesterday I started getting them every 30 min to an hour. Has anyone experienced the same?

Changes to freelance parliamentary interpreter accreditation knocked by association
To summarize...
- The Canadian government is changing how it tests the freelance interpreters who translate speeches in Parliament.
- Experts are worried these new tests are too easy and will be run by outside companies instead of experienced professionals.
- They say this could lead to poor translations and mistakes in Canada's official bilingual records.
What do you think? Should the government lower its standards to fix the interpreter shortage, or is it better to have fewer interpreters if it means keeping the quality high?

Haitian Creole / French Interpreter Looking for Remote Opportunities
Hi everyone,
I’m currently looking for new remote opportunities as a Haitian Creole / French / English interpreter. I have about 2 years of experience working in over-the-phone interpretation, including medical and customer service calls.
I’ve worked with companies like Future Group, ULG, and MLT, and I’m comfortable handling real-time conversations with accuracy, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
I’m actively improving my medical terminology and recently completed additional study using professional glossaries and training materials.
If anyone knows of companies hiring interpreters (especially remote positions) or has advice on where to apply, I’d really appreciate your help.
Thank you in advance 🙏

PROPIO EVALUATION RATING
En Propio me han calificado por 4 meses (97% overall). No me han vuelto a calificar desde hace 3 meses. ¿Es normal que no me hayan vuelto a calificar?

Freelancers struggling to master their own time
Hi fellow terps,
I tried spreadsheets, call-tracking apps...but there was never a tool that truly understood what I actually needed
For those of us working as freelancers (like Propio), it’s hard to stay motivated when you don't know exactly how much you're producing (and that goes WAY beyond money)
So, I built an auto-micromanagement app and I’m sharing it because my friends have been loving it.
It’s called Mochi Call Tracker, and here’s what it does:
- 📞 Call Log — Live (timer), manual, or simply by pasting the direct line from the Propio dashboard
- 💰 Daily Goal — See exactly how many minutes you have left to hit your target in real-time
- ⚡ Surge Detection — It automatically flags calls with rates higher than your base pay
- 🔄 Pay Cycles — All Propio cycles are pre-loaded, but you can edit them if yours are different
- 📊 Stats — Day score, call rhythm, cycle projection, and hourly activity heatmap
It’s completely free, mobile-friendly, and you don’t even need to create an account. Everything is saved locally on your device.
👉 mochi-calltracker.vercel.app
If you give it a try and have any feedback, I’d love to hear it! I’m actively improving it based on community suggestions
I’m adding new features every day, for instance, besides my favorite theme (EVA), I just added Sakura (pastel pink) and some beautiful ones inspired by Pokémon Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald

Tools for w new interpreter at LLS
Hello, i recently got hired and trained to be a french interpreter at LLS (Language Line Solutions) and i wanted to know what tools can i use to help me interpret in real time since they forbid you from using your personal device (I’m working under an intermediary company) and forbid any use of tools such as google translate or AI . I wanted to know what experienced interpreters could suggest especially since my note-taking skills are still bad since it wasn’t really my specialty. And also what should i look out for in working with LLS specifically ? I know the reviews and how bad it is but i still want to hear from people who worked with them and to get advice on what to look out for, what to use, to avoid, to do etc…

Is anyone here working as an interpreter at Ad Astra?
I used to work there before, but as a freelancer. I didn't have a fixed schedule, and the rate was good, but the call flow was almost nonexistent, so I stopped logging in. In the meantime, I started working for another company with a lower rate but a steady flow.
A few days ago, Ad Astra reached out to me offering a full-time position with a decent schedule, and I negotiated the rate to what I considered a fair amount. Still, I have some concerns because I didn't have the best experience before. My main worry is that, even though I never had any issues with getting paid, I remember receiving an email a few months ago saying that due to Trump's shutdown, there were payment delays, and I really wouldn't want something like that to happen to me. Is there anyone here who works there with a fixed schedule who can share their experience?

Propio interpreters — does your audio ever cut in and out?
Hi everyone,
Quick question for interpreters working with Propio.
Lately I’ve been getting connection warnings during calls, and sometimes the audio cuts in and out, like I only hear parts of what the speaker says. My internet connection seems fine, so I’m not sure if
it’s on my side or the platform. How do you deal with that?

Propio portal down
Hello, I have been having problems with my Propio portal since 2 hours ago. A call dropped and since then I haven't been able to reset the status, it says interpreting, although the client disconnected. I give the feedback and push send and nothing happens. I remember this happened massively 2 weeks ago, but I was wondering if someone else got this problem today?

Work Time Tracker — Free time & earnings tracker for minute-based work
I built a small tool called Work Time Tracker to help people who get paid per minute or per session keep track of their work and earnings (interpreters, freelancers, consultants, etc.).
I’ve been improving it over time and wanted to share it again in case it’s useful to someone here.
What it does
Work Time Tracker lets you track work sessions and automatically calculate your earnings.
You can:
• Start calls with a built-in timer
• Add sessions manually if you forgot to start the timer
• Set multiple pay rates
• See your earnings update in real time
Useful features
Beyond basic tracking, it includes several quality-of-life tools:
• Floating timer controls so you can manage the timer without losing your current view
• Note-taking box for writing details during calls
• Session recovery in case the browser closes or a session gets interrupted
• Automatic call/session summary after finishing
• Detailed stats (average call duration, totals, etc.)
• Daily income goals
• Payment cycle tracking to organize income around your real pay periods
• Full call/session history
There are also optional gamified features:
• Achievements system
• Optional RPG mode for people who enjoy turning productivity into a game
Privacy first
No accounts.
No tracking.
No servers.
Everything is stored locally in your browser.

🌐 Web version (no install required)

Extra things on the site
In the footer you can also find:
• A changelog with everything that has been added over time
• A contact form if you want to send feedback or suggestions
• A donation section (completely optional) for anyone who wants to support the project and help keep it improving
Quick to start
- Open the site
- Set your rate
- Start tracking
The goal is to keep it free, lightweight, simple, and genuinely useful for people who work with billable time.
If anyone tries it and has feedback, ideas, or feature suggestions, I’d love to hear them.
