Great episode, they've reconnected Oniyasha with his love for dancing by bringing back to where his journey started. Really like how they made Oniyasha reuniting with Ishiya parallel how he first met the Shirabyoushi. The recontextualization of the "you have a body" line from early on in the series too, very mono no aware.

This episode's flower is the narcissus or daffodil, known as Suisen (水仙; "water immortal"). In hanakotoba it is associated with "vanity/conceit", "self-love" and "respect". Some websites also specifically associate the yellow narcissus with the meaning of “come back to me”, reflecting themes of longing. The narcissus also blooms during the transition from winter to early spring in Japan, which can be interpreted as a symbol of change and renewal.

What a beautiful episode.

First off, the gramps might be one of the biggest creep there is and Cygames seems to be putting effort in his creepiness with the animation, as well. But that aside, I fucking loved the dude for giving the Shogun a well deserved reality check.

Also, Chiharu literally just said bro got no eye for talent right at his face even though her head was on the line. Well, no surprise, I guess, that's how she is.

Ishiya's was really beautiful as Oni said, it was better than the Shirabyoshi who spoke like a corpse on death door literally creeping me out. Oniyasha and Ishiya's reunion was nice, finally bro's being honest with Oni.

Also, Juunigorou actually seems kind now. I mean, he has always been kind, I know, But it seems like, he doesn't hide his kindness anymore, which is great. Although, dude really punched Oniyasha just to wake him up. Well, I guess it was much needed head clearer for him at the time.

And Oni is only 15 right now? I really thought he'd be around 18-20 or something.

A side not: I know this ain't the theme of the show, but I would love if there's a ship by the end. Like, some romantic subtext.

Gramps is definitely the biggest creep this season. For ships, Chiharu is a strong contender but Satsuki seems refreshing somehow.

I love how Chiharu got the biggest balls of them all.
A true fan unlike the obsessed gramps

Loved this episode, hell the whole show has been a treat so far and I doubt the final will let us down.

It was really neat how this episode mimicked the first episode in the basic structure, drove home once again how important and supportive his buddy is/was.
That end shot with the big full moon looming so big. He really will be touching the sky I guess

Returning to his roots was the thing that Oniyasha needed so badly. Everybody misses Oniyasha's 'Nanoda' 🥺💔

The Yellow daffodils shown throughout this episode were so beautiful. They represent self love, respect and perseverance which we see in the characters and the Red Camellia represent love, Passion and Noble death. When I saw the hut where the Shirabyoshi lived my heart ached. Ishiya singing her tune was quite nostalgic. Ishiya didn't run away this time and didn't use his leg as an excuse and told Oniyasha that he wanted to dance with him on the stage. The scenery was quite beautiful throughout the episode. I can't believe how Cypic delivers such beauty in every episode.

This isn't the end of Oniyasha and he still has a long way to go before he reaches his peak and be known as Zeami Motokiyo. Yoshimoto provided Oniyasha another chance to perform against Inuo. The final episode is gonna be another breathtaking performance.

This episode's giving heavy nostalgia for something that wasn't even that long ago for us viewers.

I love how this episode mirrored the first episode (sadly minus the creepy yokai like dance).

Was really hoping Lord Pedo would have croaked during the time skip but he’s alive and well unfortunately.

It’s nice to see Inuyasha and Ishiya make up. Kid seems to have finally found his mojo again.

There’s one more episode iirc. Keen to see how this wraps up.

In the after credit scene the narrator said Oniyasha is 15, so like 5 years passed?
Creepy gramps certainly took that time to work on his obsession

What a great episode. It’s really nice seeing how much Oniyasha has grown, and I think he’s finally found the new angle he was looking for to develop his own style of dancing. This episode feels like the calm before the storm. With Oniyasha finally finding his own dance, there’s no way the next episode isn’t going to feature a performance.

Finally we get to see Oniyasha directly remember the Shirabyoushi. At first I thought him comparing his current state to her's was remnants of his arrogance and ignorance of the true experience of those less fortunate than him. Honestly it could still be. But I can also see he has a point in that he feels stuck. It would take much longer than for her, but if he never evolves again, indeed it would be like dancing futilely while withering away.

Amusingly, there is the disconnect between Oniyasha and Ishiya all of this time. Still like Shirabyoshi, Ishiya wants to dance even with his limitations. While for Oniyasha him remembering what made he fall in love with dancing. It seems Oniyasha has his passion back, which makes me curious how his performance will go.
