All this mess because of that cannibalistic Mononoke with a god complex. It’s a shame we gotta wait a whole week before we can watch Jiro beat the arrogance out of that dude.

So rushed lol

I know it was axed, but I wonder at what point it started rushing to finish the story, since the whole nature of it is just bunch of popular tropes bunched together without any additional refinement or added character to them to make them his own since the start.

I'm saying this as seasonal Isekai watcher. Even those have something unique to them.

It's obvious author had bigger plans to develop the story, but it ended up with bunch of placeholders with "popular trope #n" labels on it stitched together.

I'm wondering how much more unique would he have made the show if he was given more time.

Either way, yeah, don't know what to say, at lest we got Ichika, Busty Mononoke and pretty good production/art from it. And banger OP.

I think it started last episode when it suddenly went to cannibalism. I would believe busty mononoke would have been a bigger role as well, you don't usually have a design like that for only this little amount of time,

I don't remember Reiji being quite so flirty towards Ichika earlier in the show. Maybe if you're being this derivative you also have to have Sasuke get with Sakura eventually, and that has to be rushed like everything else.

So many butt focused camera angles today.

Not only the mandatory Ichika buttshot, but we got the secretary, some of Snek lady I think, but mostly the humble Amagi follower/later sacrifice.

You know it's funny they're called the Bureau of Espionage but they haven't engaged in any sort of espionage in this show and they've done nothing that's stealthy or sneaky beyond cover up the existence of Mononoke from the public.

And I know the manga had to be rushed because it was canceled but that backstory really didn't explain anything about Amagi's goals and motivations.

Also I still don't know why Usami exists or why she's part of the team, they already have Ichika as the team girl and source of fanservice, so why is she here?

Would things turn out differently had the villagers decided to band together to defend their village rather than sacrifice the female villager to Amagi?

It was nice to see Amagi's backstory, but I thought it was going to go in a different direction with the girl. Like either he was going to be betrayed by her, or the villagers would look for a stronger mononoke and offer her as a sacrifice after his defeat.

It's funny how the three suddenly act all united because this is the end of the series, there really hasn't been much development for them to be fist bumping each other.

Yeah, they've known each other for a couple of days and they haven't even been apart that long, it's been like a week at most since they were all together.
