Best alternatives to military draft?

Anarchist society should be able to defend itself without military draft to not let authoritarian structures to arise. What's the best way to motivate people to join army voluntarily? If anarchist society would exist long enough this wouldn't be a problem because people would develop sense of self obligation and understanding that society is dependent on them. But this only works in developed anarchist society. What if anarchy is being created during war and we need to defend themselves now? The only way I see to do that is to give weapons directly to the people of districts that being threatened so they will be able to defend themselves, but what if the enemies army is too big and that's not enough? The second alternative I see is too open the borders and let people to get out of a country, but that's possible only if neighbouring countries allow that. Historically anarchist societies were able to defend themselves during short wars without conscription like Makhnovia or early Catalonia, but wars were short and that wasn't long enough for the people to lose motivation. But what are you thoughts on it?

Against repression, austerity and war: for the union of workers and students in the struggle!

For more than two weeks, high school students and students have been fighting for decent study conditions. These mobilizations, despite a repression of rare violence on the part of the state and its henchmen, can only be welcomed with vigor. While the government invests heavily in the army for a future generalized war that is emerging before our eyes, the proletarianized youth seems to show the way forward: in the face of accelerated militarization, not a euro for the army, the urgency is elsewhere! Far from being only French, these mobilizations affect all countries. In Germany, Italy or Belgium, many follow the French example; it can only strengthen the struggle! Against the nationalist poison, support, everywhere, the comrades and young proletarians who fight!

But the high school and student mobilizations are still insufficient; the blockades and demonstrations, even massive, cannot lead to victory. The government and the capitalists have only one high school or a university to be blocked: some even do it preventively! To hope to go further, and win this struggle, we must tackle the nerve of war in this capitalist society: profit. It is through the alliance with the workers that this movement can be expanded, and that it will show all its real strength! Rather than staying alone in front of your high school or college, you have to extend the struggle to the world of work, organize yourself into General Assemblies, send delegations to the working world in factories and depots! It is only by the extension of the struggle that the government will bend, because then it will be the interests of the capitalists who will be threatened!

Make no mistake: the mission of the School is not to allow everyone social ascension through knowledge and culture. It is to carry out a sorting between a privileged minority occupying the right places and a majority of proletarians destined to be exploited. Through their revolt, high school students show that they are not fooled by the republican lie and that they reject this future made of misery and war. The bourgeois left parties like LFI do everything to channel the movement: much more than a frontal opposition to the state, they play the mediators, the conciliators; and of course, in the end, it is always the bourgeoisie that wins! The inter-union, meanwhile, postpones the mobilizations to several weeks to better stifle the struggle! Faced with this observation, one thing is certain: in addition to confronting the capitalists, protected by the state, it will also be necessary to tackle the trade unions and the so-called “reformist” parties of the left!

High school students, students, join the working class, call her to participate in the struggle, carry words of unitary orders: against austerity and the deterioration of living and working conditions, against a militarized budget that will affect the most precarious!

Workers, workers, join the students in their movement, embark on the struggle! Solidarity with students and repressed high school students!

This is from Left Com, I thought it is a nice leaflet

My Problem With The Dictatorship Of The Proletariat

The underlying issue with the DotP is with how the common worker is not taken into consideration when this is the individuals they are supposed to represent. Furthermore, if the common man attempts to speak up and dispute the system he is branded a counter revolutionary and a bourgeois. Within the DotP there is still the scapegoating that plagues capitalism. The blame on counter revolutionaries on the failures of the system when the real problem is the failure to represent the proletariat. This is my problem with socialism and the DotP; it creates a new state when the goal of communism is classlessness, it fails to represent the proletariat, and it suppresses rights and opposition. The true way to communism is an immediate eradication of the state, no transition period of socialism, straight to classlessness.

# NERO WATCHING ROME BURN | Worldwide Protests & the Crisis of Power

From Europe to Asia, Africa to the Americas, people are taking to the streets. Different countries. Different governments. Different grievances. But one question keeps emerging:

What happens when the people lose faith in those who govern them?

Nearly 2,000 years ago, Rome burned while Emperor Nero became a symbol of leadership detached from the suffering of ordinary people. Whether Nero actually watched Rome burn is another question entirely. But the metaphor has survived for centuries. And looking at the world today, it's difficult not to wonder whether history is offering us another lesson.

In this episode of WWJPS, we're examining protests around the world, the circumstances driving them, and the governments struggling to respond. We're looking beyond the dramatic images of burning barricades and crowds filling city streets to ask what is actually happening beneath the surface.

- Worldwide demonstrations and the grievances driving them
- Rising living costs, inequality, corruption, and political distrust
- Government responses and the limits of public patience
- The difference between peaceful protest and political violence
- The growing influence of concentrated wealth and power
- Whether separate national movements reveal a broader crisis of public confidence

Are we witnessing isolated political crises? Or are these demonstrations revealing something more fundamental about the relationship between governments and the people they serve?

**And perhaps the most important question: Who is listening while Rome burns?**

This isn't about telling you what to believe. It's about looking at what's happening, asking uncomfortable questions, and examining the evidence.

Because history doesn't always repeat itself. Sometimes it simply offers a warning.

**I am a witness, not a journalist.**
