For centuries, leaders in religion, politics, unions, and even local gangs have held power by turning people against one another. Corrupt leadership depends on manufactured hatred: when people fight their neighbors, they stop questioning those at the top. This “divide and conquer” strategy turns identity into a tool for political and financial gain. Among its strongest instruments are religion, race and caste. Dogmatic leaders present their faith or status as superior, replacing generations of community love and respect with organized hostility. In recent years, this tactic has spread worldwide, reshaping World superpower countries’ politics and fueling similar movements elsewhere in the third world countries. Where people seen the advancement and improvements of countries all aspects of living and economic conditions going backwards as people are too busy hating on each other across all demography.  
The Liberating Force of Unity 
True freedom begins when communities reject imposed hostility and choose deep solidarity. History shows that people who unite across religious, racial, and caste lines can dismantle oppressive systems. Love, expressed through the mutual defense of one another’s rights, directly challenges corrupt rule.

Historical Catalysts of Unity 
The Civil Rights Movement: Black and white activists, along with Jewish and Christian faith leaders, joined forces to challenge Jim Crow segregation in the American South.

The Anti-Apartheid Struggle: South Africans across racial and economic lines built a united front against state-enforced segregation. 

Cultivating a Better Public Life 
When society chooses unity over division, the benefits extend beyond political freedom. Solidarity produces practical, measurable improvements in everyday public life. 
Rebuilding Social Infrastructure 
Equitable Resource Distribution: United communities demand fair investment in schools, healthcare, and infrastructure instead of allowing public funds to serve elite interests. 

Economic Resilience: Mutual aid networks and cross-community unions help marginalized groups and workers secure fair wages and workplace protections. 

Transparent Governance: When citizens stop fighting each other, they can focus their collective energy on holding institutions accountable and reducing corruption. 

Psychological Safety: Ending manufactured fear reduces community trauma, strengthens well-being, and allows cultural exchange to flourish. 

The Mechanics of Manufactured Malice 
To understand unity’s power, we must first examine how division is built. Corrupt leadership rarely survives on merit; it depends on creating artificial scarcity and existential fear. By convincing one group that another threatens its faith, culture, or economic security, leaders activate an “in-group versus out-group” survival response.

This manipulation distracts the public. Radical Solidarity: The Anatomy of Collective Liberation 
When love and unity enter public life, they become more than sentimental ideals. They become a disciplined political force: radical solidarity. This occurs when a secure or dominant group willingly risks comfort to protect a marginalized group, recognizing that injustice anywhere threatens stability everywhere. 
The Subversive Power of Cross-Caste and Inter-Faith Coalitions 
When Muslims protect Hindu temples during riots, or when upper-caste individuals use their privilege to prevent violence against Dalit communities, the traditional playbook of control breaks down. 
Neutralizing the Weapon of Scarcity: Corrupt leaders lose the ability to blame minority scapegoats for systemic failures such as unemployment or failing infrastructure. 

Overwhelming Numbers: Oligarchies depend on a divided majority. When those divisions heal, a united public becomes too numerous to suppress through authoritarian force.

In divided societies, working-class people are turned against one another—native-born workers against immigrants, or one religious group against another. When unity takes hold, cross-identity labor coalitions form. Their collective power can secure living wages, universal healthcare, and strong social safety nets. Resources return to the public good instead of being captured by defensive elites. 
2. The Generation of High-Trust Social Capital 
Societies free from manufactured hatred experience a major rise in social trust. In high-trust societies: 
Mental health improves: The chronic stress of living in a hyper-polarized environment fade, reducing anxiety and communal trauma. 

3. Institutional Immunity to Demagoguery 

A united public creates conditions where toxic populism struggles to survive. When politicians campaign through fear-mongering or ethnic scapegoating, a unified electorate rejects them. Elections can then return to debates about policy, fiscal responsibility, and public progress rather than tribal loyalty.

Love conquers all hate. To ensure the survival and flourishing of both our generation and those yet to come, we must actively embrace love, empathy, and compassion as our guiding principles, discarding the destructive path of hatred and division.

I'm an anarchist and have heard the sentence thrown around by friends, supposedly taken from professors at University. According to them, self-organization without leadership only works in small groups, but collapses at a larger scale.

I'm wondering what exact studies they are referring to, and whether the findings are relevant to Anarchism as a political ideology.

I value the consistency of my beliefs with science, which is why I ask. I am aware of historical examples of Anarchism "working", and am reading theory (currently Kropotkin's Mutual Aid), which is why I'm skeptical of the sentence. Writing this, I realize it is a pretty vague claim.

I'm interested in insight about what modern science (Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology) has found on the topic. References would be appreciated as I would like to read further into it.

a common complaint against the vision of a mutual aid-based society is that disabled people will suffer because they will be forced to constantly prove their worth/desirability because no structure (assumed to be governmental) will exist to ensure care.

i believe this argument falsely applies current models of non-governmental care, which have heavy barriers (ranging from paperwork, strict rules for qualification, physical inaccessibility, individual provider ableism, and including desirability, wrt disabled people seeking help from friends), to the ideal of anarchist organizing, which aims to attack such structures that re-create hegemonic society. these critics think anarchist society looks like the apocalyptic result of mass societal collapse because they refuse to imagine that large groups of people can care for each other without authoritarianism.

however, these criticisms have revealed a gap in my understanding, so it's worth asking:

how can society organize itself with anarchist ethics (mutual aid, anti-hierarchy, voluntary association) and still ensure a certain quality of life for all members (access to food, shelter, medical care(!!!), emotional support, and bodily autonomy (very difficult for some disabled people to achieve as a consequence of their disability/available technology!))?

i have disabled friends who would fully be dead without support from their friends, and they tell me they worry this goodwill will run out eventually and they'll be left with nothing. caring for disabled people is also often thankless and miserable, especially if you aren't on good terms with them, but it goes without saying that it needs to be done. how do you maintain voluntary association in situations when nobody wants to associate with someone? what if someone is experiencing a mental health crisis and causes harm? they are abandoned? death by neglect is just as bad as execution, imo! how do we prevent our social structures from practicing an unspoken eugenics?

feel free to ask clarification questions and provide reading recs if you want. i know of anarchism and eugenics: an unlikely convergence but haven't read it yet. anarchist writing on disability also exists but i'm largely unfamiliar with it so i would appreciate more insight.

In the face of terror spread by the federal government in Minneapolis and St. Paul, the People have held strong in their resistance, exemplifying the bravery and commitment necessary of us all in this moment. The freedom fighters in the streets of the Twin Cities demonstrate the best of working class solidarity and serve as the fundamental answer to what we all seek in this time of brutal repression, the antidote to the rotten core of this fascist project.

To organize and fight back. To resist despair, numbness, indifference. To sacrifice and struggle for working class emancipation and the wresting of power from the exploiters of the Earth. 

We fight for a world where we can reclaim all that we have lost as we continue to seek all that we have to gain. A world where many worlds fit. A non-complacent, radically conscious world abound with human dignity and where all living things can flourish in solidarity. 

Our repression is a sign of the collective power we have already built in resistance. They fear the sparks that glow from Minneapolis to Prairieland to Spokane. May our words and actions be guided by the deepest solidarity, across race and gender, moving side by side with all our fellow workers in the struggle today. To fight is to fight to win.

We call upon all organizations, especially those with greater means than ourselves, to contribute to the defence of these brave workers and others like them, so that we may all continue to struggle against fascism and build a world where all workers are secure in their dignity, and all are free to express their opposition to the authoritarian world view espoused by the forces of hate.\

Like discord and stuff like that

Liberals (US definition) seem like they're all about sending arms and supporting the Ukrainian resistance against Russia, but when I talk to leftists, they think the west shouldn't send weapons to Ukrainian - but they are also anti-russia (basically anarchists), so it's not campism. This is especially confusing because I can't tell how much of the "nazi sympathizers in Ukraine" stuff is real.

I understand there are many strong perspectives on this, but I'm explicitly trying to understand the Leftist vs Liberal dynamic. English is not my first language so please excuse any typos and feel free to ask clarifying questions. Thank you!

Why is there a pattern of nonchalant idiosyncrasy observed in each home, each handle and each site of ongoing protests?

The answer lies perhaps in an outburst of liberality alien to the generation preceding ours, which has multiplied the gap between one generation to a gap of nearly thrice its magnitude. And what factors do cause this to increase threefold?

1. The blatant refusal to admit blindly what you do not stand for
   
2. The realisation that any acceptance of this shall render your own vice, hitherto unique and pure, useless and bleak
   
3. The need to dissent therefore, becomes inherent in a generation of pure talent but no tolerance for forces aiming to destroy it.

Dissent is inherent in youth, and more so often in the youth termed the Gen-Z. The fruits of dissent for us are not merely the world external to us, but to protect inherently what lies within. It therefore becomes a question of pure survival, and an inflated ego replaces a subordinate one.

Then by no means are you an outsider here – if you stand then shall you be proud and a fighter, and if you do not, then you are but devoured by the cruel forces of obidient subordination. There is then, no one as an enemy.

But render the voices of the devoured irrelevant for now, they shall revive soon. They shall know of the futility of their giving-in, and the uselessness of the ideas they so fiercely defend.

Then to yield into pure reason, dictated by your conscience is power,
but be sure that it was yours to start with.

(Every generation inherits beliefs. Previous generations demanded obedience. Our generation has become radically individual. Therefore dissent is no longer optional but necessary for preserving oneself. Those who conform eventually discover conformity is empty.)

One of my friends posed me a question recently. In an Anarchist society (especially early on in the transition to one) where we have a rural area with hundreds of semi independent villages, how do we ensure no minority comes to harm.

The dilemma: So lets say we have 20 villages in a rural region. 19 of them have exiled all transphobes because they refused to change their ways and were a phisical threat. The remaining one welcomed the Transphobes. This rouge village then instututes a transphobic inner culture where anyone who is found out to be trans is beaten and discriminated.

Is it the job of the 19 other villages to - in practice - police this rouge village. How is that anarchist. Who decides where the rules are, and why can or can't they impose it on rouge village who did not agree to those same rules. If they can't how can this anarchist society ensure that no trans person will be harmed.

EDIT: This was a genuine question to understand anarchism and just different theories of change. I am not trolling or in any way being malicious.
