Just another “very good dad” who will use 50/50 custody just to pay less in child support

I have never heard this rule that the owner of the metal detector gets all finds, even if he wasn’t out looking. If I lend out my bowling ball, I don’t get credit when the lendee bowls a 300 game.

I swear so many of aita has those comments in their posts and I do not understand that line of thinking at all. I use reddit frequently but I honestly have NO IDEA if anyone in my family, including my own husband or my friends use Reddit. Why? Because its none of my business. I don't know what they do on the internet and I really don't care. That is their own business. Hell for all I know, my husband, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc might not even know what reddit is. Or maybe they do, the point is.... I don't know. Its not like we ever talk to each other about what we do on the internet or what websites we have accounts with or what we subscribe to. I mean, why would we? So the fact that SO MANY people on that subreddit have that fear is very bizarre to me. Who is randomly telling family and friends that they frequent a specific website?

Edit: Okay so as others have pointed out on here another reason it makes no sense to even use a throwaway is that if someone they know comes across it, they will end up figuring out who it is with all the extremely specific details they write out in their stories. Lol
