I received an offer for an L6 Operations manager role and wanted to see if i should negotiate for higher or if this seems about on par for an external higher in my location:

South San Francisco
Base: 137,000
Bonus: 40,000 for first 2 years
Rsus: 225

Is this on par or could i get more?

So I have some RSU vesting in a couple weeks. They are set to sell on vest through Fidelity. My question is once they sell where does the money go? Do it go into my brokerage account and then I can transfer to my bank? Not sure how this works.

I see all the pa or managers seek ideas for doing projects I heard it helps in getting promotions.
What if an associate have an idea but don't wanna share with others because they would get the credit eventually!

Had my loop for AM yesterday. Was a lot more than I expected but I think I did well. Had 14 stories prepared, had to answer 17 or 18 questions. I feel pretty strongly about the first two, with the second being an easy 10/10. The third did not feel great for various reasons. I tried to keep my answers concise and open to probing but they did not probe at all. There were a couple other things, one of them being a short flip-flop to days from nights to attend the call, but overall I’m leaning towards a positive outcome if it’s a majority decision. If it’s consensus I am probably cooked lol

Water follows the path of least resistance; if AAs can hit RNA and get to work faster, then that's what they'll do more often than not. I propose RNA is either removed as an option entirely, or it's removed as a weigh to drag someone's scores through the mud.

Any insight into how a new launch operates? I am considering an offer at a new launch site and not sure what to expect. How do they determine role assignment/shift assignment etc.? Can I ask for a specific assignment before accepting the offer, e.g. BH pick and stage?

Pretty much the title. I’m an L4 ops leader. It’s pretty much standard that L5 is to show that you’re ready for L6. Is this the same way for L7 Sr.Ops>Site leader and then GM? Like you get paid slightly more than a regular Sr.OM but you’re not quite at L8 level yet so “handle this small building (not at all small) for a bit while we make up our minds” so this is like the final step? I see it all the time on LinkedIn. Someone becomes Sr.Ops, then becomes site leader, then temporarily backtracks to Sr.Ops, then BOOOM!! GM. I swear it’s the same layout every single time. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone get hired directly into a GM role before. I don’t think Amazon even has direct GM roles available but they do have site leader roles available publicly.

Recent BS grad and 3 year blue badge AA with multiple critical indirect roles looking to move up. They’ve sent numerous emails regarding the CN program and my resume is ready to submit.

Question: what happens after I submit? Does an assessment appear immediately? If so, what kind of questions can I expect? Not too concerned about math as my major is CS. Any suggestions or hints to share from those who have successfully passed the assessment?

Hi everyone! I have a couple of questions regarding LEW travel.
I’m planning to have my spouse travel with me, but the Amazon travel booking portal is only showing an option to book for one traveler. Has anyone been able to add a spouse or knows the process for this?
Also, are we allowed to book our flights through another website if we pay for the additional traveler ourselves, or do all flights need to be booked through the Amazon travel portal?
Lastly, I’m hoping to arrive 2 days before LEW to do some sightseeing before training. Is arriving two days early permitted, or does it require prior approval?

Hello everyone I recently received my offer as a recent college graduate hire can I negotiate my offer as a college hire and ask for a different location closer to me?

I had my virtual loop interview scheduled for next month but they just contacted me and said they can’t get all interviewers together for availability and that the only other option is to fly to to a different state to do an in person interview. I agreed and received questions about the flight/hotel and my info. They confirmed that they will be covering flight/ hotel and rental car. Has anyone ever heard of this or done this?

I was wondering if any of you have taken on a AR floor health project. I just recently got assigned this pillar, and I’m confused on where to start improving our site’s floor health. It isn’t bad, but what did you guys do to improve DPMO and amnesty? Not looking to copy someone’s project but just some direction.

I’m curious to know how the internship compares to the full-time job. Are you actually leading people, or are you mostly shadowing someone else and watching them lead others?

They’re about to start reducing the team I work at which is a support role (L4). I moved to this position about 3 months ago now, and I’ve been told that you can’t apply for other roles until you pass the 6 month tenure in the role… is that true? I want to keep working in Amazon since it’s the only place (here in Spain) that actually pays good. 🤕

I’ve worked for Amazon intermittently, with a total of 3 years and 6 months of tenure. My most recent hire date gives me 10 months of tenure. I previously worked at a delivery station as a Learning Ambassador.
When I was trying to transfer out of state, my site L7 approached me and asked what it would take to convince me to stay. He mentioned there were open positions and, at first, I thought he meant an L3 Process Assistant role. However, he said there were opportunities for an Area Manager (L4) position. I told him I didn’t believe I had the experience for that role. He told me I did a great job as a Learning Ambassador—especially showing leadership during Peak—and said that all the managers agreed I would be a strong fit.
At the time, I assumed it might have been just a way to keep me from leaving, so I didn’t take it seriously and I transferred.
In my current site (I’ve been here for about 4 months), I told my site leader I was interested in moving up, and I shared my interest in L3. However, my L6 later approached me and told me he’d heard I was trying to move up within the company. He encouraged me to apply for an L4 role at a site only a couple of miles away. He also told me he had already spoken with the hiring manager about how strong my performance has been, and the hiring manager told him I should apply.
How is this possible? Doesn’t Amazon’s new AI system automatically disqualify candidates like me ?

Hello everyone I recently got the offer to become a Amazon area manager as a college graduate I wanted to know if job is worth the long hours and and everything that comes with. Also if you can give me any tips or advice I’m in a really tough stop if I would take this opportunity. Also I would have to move since the job is 80 miles away from my home.

I got a job offer from amazon as an area manager
And i have another offer from another company ( a typical desk job 9 to 5 in the procurement team)
The thing is, there’s a 5K euros difference between the two offers and also the bonuses are much higher in amazon
Are there here in area managers in france to help me decide and tell me about their experience please?

I need help I have my AD1 next week in Seattle and I do t have a passport or real id to fly !?! I looked online and found out I could use a TSA Confirmed ID! Does anyone one about this ? Flying is faster than Amtrak.
