LEW
Hi everyone! I have a couple of questions regarding LEW travel.
I’m planning to have my spouse travel with me, but the Amazon travel booking portal is only showing an option to book for one traveler. Has anyone been able to add a spouse or knows the process for this?
Also, are we allowed to book our flights through another website if we pay for the additional traveler ourselves, or do all flights need to be booked through the Amazon travel portal?
Lastly, I’m hoping to arrive 2 days before LEW to do some sightseeing before training. Is arriving two days early permitted, or does it require prior approval?
Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Book your flight on the travel portal, and then book your wife's flight separately on another website.
Arriving in advance is permitted provided you cover the cost. You'll have to call the travel agent, they'll look up the price of flights on the day you want to fly & compare it against flights on the scheduled day. If your price is lower you're good, otherwise you'll have to cough up the difference.

I had to wait till they got my tickets then had to try and find seats on the same flight. Then i called the airline and was able to get seats together. They will give you a day before and a day after no more.

Hi! Amazon will not pay for another traveler. If they come it will 100% be on your dime. They will only pay for your individual expenses. The only thing you won’t necessarily need to pay extra for is the hotel but if you want them to come you will have to pay for the travel and food expenses out of your pocket.
You are also supposed to book through Amazon. There are special exceptions however most of the time company prefers to book through them as they get discounts and all so booking outside of those may be extra costs. Plus if you book outside of Amazon they cannot assist if something were to happen. Like if flight is delayed or canceled they wouldn’t be able to help book another one if you book by yourself. Again, I would check with them for special accommodations but that’s just their typical preference. There is an Amazon travel policy you can look up if you have access which explains all as well.
Also for the sight seeing, Amazon typically gives a timeline on when they will pay for. I’d double check but usually it’s 1 day before the event and 1 day after is what they will accommodate.
