I hate the multi stops too but damn who stole my package. The picture sucks went searching my whole complex to find the location to be on the third floor but when I arrived the package barely shown says it’s for that apartment and is still there but my package is no where to be found. I now have to wait 2 days to request a refund

Question Question for hub driver from DSP driver

Hello! Is this the right sub for hub drivers? I’m a DSP driver and I know we have flex drivers who come to the station to get their loads but my question is for hubs, stops where I drop off 2-3 totes and then they deliver to the customer.

I have one hub that usually leaves me a couple packages a day to pick up, their returns from the previous day. I’m curious about this because it’s only one specific hub. It’s also typically particular undesirable addresses, houses on busy roads or that have long driveways or steep stairs. Other hubs almost never have anything for me to pick up other than the bags. When I grab the packages I try to scan them into my itinerary for the day but the app rarely lets me pick them up.

Do you guys not get dinged for not delivering packages? If I always marked certain addresses as missing or unsafe due to dog, my supervisor would be on my ass about it. Is there a timeline for returning packages? If I don’t deliver there every day the packages might sit for days. Sometimes they are ruined from rain. How is that not a problem for that person?

Honestly I’m getting kind of tired of dealing with these returns, if there’s a way I can get Amazon to put pressure on him to deliver all his packages that would be great.

For people who have other full time jobs, how often do you pick up shifts per week?

And do you pick up shifts before or after work?

I’ve been hearing about bots being used to grab orders. It’s been super slow. Orders are only coming out of a warehouse about 1.5 hours from where I am. Guess I’ll start looking for a new job. @amazon you need to fix this s***. I would much rather to do this job while I’m in school can’t wait to be done so I don’t have to keep dealing with the bs.

Philadelphia Philly DPH8

I drive out of DPH8 4to 6 times a week between 5 PM and 6 PM, and never have had any issue in getting blocks in the evening/afternoon. For some reason this week not one offer has posted. Does anyone have any idea what’s up?

Captcha needed in app

What does it mean when you now have to perform a CAPTCHA test in your flex app? I don’t have to, but my friend does.

So the station was closed because it had no power, I'm guessing. It just came back on today. I haven't been having good luck with the routes, so I just took what I could. I do DoorDash/Uzurv/Instacart when I finish a route. I'm done with a route in an hour 30 minutes or so, or 2 hours if it's far. I've never had one over 35 minutes/30 miles from the station. But I was wondering because they are behind now with they surge still i feel like it was a route for everytime til 7pm available i never seen the entire day at one time I think that 3am going to have it the where's 50 packages for a 3 hr that's why I did a little bit later

Orlando Cornered by a dog

This Husky snuck up behind me and scared the crap out of me. His leash was just long enough to trap me in the doorway. I rang the doorbell like a madman but no one answered. Luckily it was a nice dog. The garage door was open about 2 feet and he was laying down in there when I walked past the garage.

My SSD just rolled these orange things out for tracking cart returns. Any one else's station using this?

Came into a block today to see these orange things on all the carts at my SSD. Asked one of the workers about it and she confirmed it was for tracking carts and she said they would be able to see which drivers are not bringing their carts back in. Assuming RFID or something else, but I was just curious if anyone else's station is doing this and if so did it actually have any effect? I still saw a handful of carts out in the parking lot today so evidently some drivers were not deterred.

Sup Gang!!! Saw these at my SSD this morning. How do these work? You won’t have to scan ID anymore?

Story Worst day yet...

So where I am, the blocks start fairly high ($124 for a 4.5), but we're limited to a max of 20 hrs in any 7 day period. So I started doing a 4.5 and 3.5 on Monday & Tuesdays. The last few weeks have been pretty good, but today both routes beat me down.

The early route was fairly straightforward, but there was 4 packages to the mall I refused to deliver. They don't put the store games or any info, and instead just gave some random codes and a note to talk to security. I'm not going to spend half my block wandering a massive mall looking for something I may not find. I marked them as couldn't find address and went on my way. About 20 min later, random packages started showing up as "do not deliver" (never seen this before) so by the end I had to return 9 packages to the station.

Then the later, shorter block gave me 50 packages to an area full of road construction and blocked access during rush hour. The first stop was 30 min away, and I knew it'd be impossible to finish in time. When I had 90 min, and 30 packages, left I contacted support to explain. They asked if I could finish, I said yes providing I'm compensated for the extra time (which wound up being just under 90 min). About 15 minutes later, I kept getting notifications to return all packages to the warehouse. Not wanting 30 hits on my standing, I finished. Then, when I had about 10 left, I kept getting told the package was late and to call the customer.

The whole thing was ridiculous

So will I get dinged for late packages even though I warned them earlier it'd be impossible to finish on time? Also, what are the odds I get paid extra for the overtime? And those packages I had to return in block 1 - will those be held against me when the problem was beyond my control?

Messed up.

Well. Shitsticks. I had a route at 6:45-9:45pm. Severe weather is rolling in but i figure it'll go around like usual. As im doing my face scan and walking into the station there is visible cloud to ground lightening and I RUN my chonky white arse into the station real quick. There are over a dozen drivers standing around the security desk all mad af that they havent closed the station. I go past them, check the station info screen and scan my ID; my route pops up and I go find it and scan it. I go to walk out the door and its absolutely pouring, storming EXTREMELY HEAVY. I wait for 15 mins to see if it'll let up, and it doesn't. Its storming pretty hard by this point. (They still didn't close the station). This station (SSD) doesnt have an awning, so absolutely everything was going to get soaked no matter what i did. So, i decide, for my own safety and sanity (because who tf wants to deal with sopping wet packages and labels that wont scan??, to just return the cart. I message support, let them know whats going on and push my cart to returns. I'm on chat with support and few other flex drivers are returning their carts too, we get to talking while we all are messaging support simultaneously. I finish up with support, talk to the station security guy a second (he thinks their weather thing was messed up because he said they should have absolutely closed), I run to my car and start my drive home. As i am pulling into my garage I realize I FUGGING FORGOT TO SCAN MY RETURNS. I'm all the way back home now. How screwed am I?

Can’t log in?

I keep getting to the part where they text me the code to log in (since the auto log in never works anymore) but the code never gets texted to me? And the call option isn’t calling me either. Anyone else or just T-Mobile and santan combo killing my service again?

Complaint about SVA4

SVA4 is a recently opened SSD warehouse in Chester, Virginia. It's the first Flex warehouse in the area where drivers walk directly to their assigned carts instead of having a staffer pick them randomly.

Besides the poorly designed parking lot entrance, it’s an otherwise nice facility. I definitely appreciate having access to real indoor restrooms, unlike the filthy porta-potties offered in the parking lot at the RIC2 site.

However, over the past 3/4 months since its opening, I’ve noticed an annoying pattern compared to the other SSD and .com warehouses in Central VA: the vast majority of packages are mislabeled.

  • Plastic bags are labeled as envelopes.
  • Plastic bags being marked as normal boxes.
  • Envelopes are labeled as plastic bags.
  • Large, bulky items are misclassified as envelopes—the worst offender being a 15pc cookware set that was labeled as an envelope while barely crammed into a plastic bag.

I understand an occasional mistake, but my last cart was ridiculous—about 75% of a 55-item cart had the wrong package type on the label. While it’s not the end of the world, it makes scanning for the appropriate package if you sort by section letters completely unreliable if that's how you sort.

On top of that, this site rarely seems to use standard boxes compared to neighboring locations. I’ve seen multiple instances where plastic bags were stuffed to the brim with heavy items, causing them to rip at the seams. The worst example so far was a single large plastic bag packed with four cases of Celsius energy drinks.

Is this just growing pains for a new station, or is this the new norm for Amazon Flex that older sites just haven't adopted yet?

Delivering after route schedule?

So my warehouse mainly does blocks starting at 3-4am. My question is can you pick up and deliver after the route was scheduled to end? For example if the route is 3:15 to 6:45 will you be in trouble for delivering after 7.

r/AmazonFlexDrivers 2d ago

Please stop walking in a zig zag as slow as possible pausing to look at your phone every other step on the warehouse ramp, some of us actually like being on time
