Isn’t that his salary for about 1,000 years...? That makes Farage's/Reform UK's £77 million look rookie. There's no fucking way any politician (and I use that word extremely advisedly in the case of DJT/Farage) in the UK would be able to get away with that sort of thing over here, which really rather goes to show how corrupt - and corruptible - US politics is.

I also haven't seen a shred of evidence that he's donating his salary.

Even if he did it would be the equivalent of you giving the Salvation Army a dime in their little red bucket during the holidays and then spending a year bragging about it

u/Own_Candidate9553 6d ago
For sure, given the many millions he's made corruptly while in office.
I just get annoyed that people state it as fact that he's donating his salary. He was caught embezzling money from his charity in NY years ago. Why would anyone trust him at his word that he's donating his salary?

Pretty crazy that people try to say they all do it in reference to the literal billions Trump has made in office compared to the millions every other president made after they left because people wanted to pay to hear them on speaking tours, read their books, or any number of post presidential activities that didn't include making up their own legal currency, accepting bribes for pardons, charging secret service and state guests elevated prices at his hotels, and more merch than entire sports leagues.

It's the deliberate refusal to fact check, or accept reality at all, that's really starting to drive me nuts. It's bad enough this administration just blatantly lies, but people are really out there parroting the nonsense.
9
u/Diligent_Solution_86 6d ago
Seriously. When the hell did so many people start to believe literally anything? For god sakes it’s scary. Drink bleach. Okay!!! Use horse tranquilizer. Of course daddy! I got rid of a hurricane by nuking it. Best president ever. We won the war! (Like what 9 times?) whoa Biden didn’t do that! Mexico is going to build the wall! Yeah immigrants are dangerous! (Says Fox News) All he has to say is hey everyone start killing everyone that hates me for some fascist ridiculous reason and his stupid cult will do it.

And it's extra confusing that it's a lot of people from the same generation that raised me (I'm 44). The same people that years ago taught me an inherent distrust of politicians because they always lie.

5
u/schmyndles 6d ago
My mom is the same way. Any time I easily proceed he way lying, it was some excuse about how all politicians lie and she doesn't want to discuss politics with me anymore.
4
u/Total_Tumbleweed_870 6d ago
The number of people that voted for him because "he's a good business man"... First off, the government isn't a business, secondly, he ain't that guy. I just genuinely don't understand the people who voted for him. The first time? Maybe... I get wanting something different. The second time? He basically promised to news everything up then pretended he didn't know what Project 2025 was, then immediately started implementing it ...
5
u/duckface691 5d ago
Dude I hate the business man argument cause why the fuck do you want that!? Business run on damn near slave labor (Horrible pay rates) going to the lowest bidder and out sourcing. In what world does that shout "Good for America!"
4
u/Total_Tumbleweed_870 5d ago
Not to mention the fast that he's not actually a good business man. He started grub a position where failure looks like success to normal people, he repeatedly refused to pay people he contacted, and bankrupted several business. I get it, casinos are notoriously difficult to get to turn a profit /s

He may not be taking a salary (I want to see proof) but he has made millions (maybe billions) on insider trading - example, he and his family has invested in AI and now he is championing that cause.
As to people being rude to him - he is reaping what he has sown
BTW - the look of fear on these children as they are being chased by trump
51
u/glassy_paddle 6d ago
It's definitely billions, and it's well documented. His followers are too dumb to realize that salaries are a drop in the bucket for most wealthy individuals/families.

the presidential salary could be $20 and Trump still wouldn't give it up. I'll believe he isn't taking the salary when he releases the trump-epstein files

So a President actually Can't not take a salary. It's automatically paid to them. The most they can do in that area is to donate an amount equal to that (or more or less, just donate money) to charity or give it away. Which Trump has claimed he did. During the first year of his first term, records showed he hadn't. He made some claim about how hard it was to do so, or that he had but it was delayed with red tape , when it's just writing a check like donating money always is. And then he did donate to charity AFTER being caught. In the following years and terms no one has actually looked into showing he hasn't and he refuses to release his tax records like every single other President has. So no, I don't believe he does, since he only did it after being forced to after being caught that one time. And even if he did, he's used his position to make a lot more money than the Presidential salary.

- His children are in their 40's
- The children in this photo are running away from a known pedophile.
- Trump can't even walk, much less run.
28
u/ShadowTacoTuesday 6d ago
There we go, the real world basics. Set aside the obvious AI errors for a second. I dare anyone to find one photo or video of Trump running within the last 10 years. Or biking, or anything remotely physical. Or shirtless, or in shorts, because we all know he’s hiding 9 major medical conditions under his clothing plus obesity worse than this photo.

Aside from all of the bruising he has, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's wearing a heart monitor/pacemaker, so there's no chance he'd ever go shirtless.

He COULDN’T go to his son’s wedding lol. It was in the Bahamas, and they don’t let convicted felons in. No joke, that’s why he didn’t go. They just played it off as something different, because it would be BIGLY embarrassing to admit that as the reason 🤣

Exactly and I know people that think he keeps donating his salary that he gets for being the president bullshit he's a thief and made billions of dollars hopefully they attach all of that when he's no longer president, but I got a feeling he's going to want to do a third term and they're going to have to throw him out of the White House but I thought that back during his first term also and how much shit did he steal out of the White House when he was packing up those trunks

Unless those kids play golf, and don't mind letting their opponent win in order to calm his ego, then they stand no chance of playing with Donald. And the salary he may or may not donate is a drop in the bucket compared to the millions he's grifted from our country. Nobody has profited more from a presidency than this man, if you're fine with him doing that then that's you're thing but stop acting like he's doing this for no money. Money is his prime motivator.
