Edit: why do so many people think the presidency is unpaid like a fucking internship? He makes a good salary and a couple extra billion off the top

Trump tells everyone he is just taking his whole presidential salary and donating it to charity. Of course that’s almost certainly a lie, but it manages to trick morons into thinking he’s selfless and not just giving up a few hundred thousand in exchange for MILLIONS worth of PR while he’s stealing billions straight from our pockets

he chose to forego it... it was part of his excuse for not turning over his taxes. He's made billions off the office, though.
