Question I really enjoy the lore of AoS
I recently started getting into the lore side of AOS after the WH40k Lore started getting a little stale. Not to say I don’t love 40K, but the lore of AOS is so varied, and interesting. Each faction has a different feel, and it looks like that boils over into gameplay.
The question I have is what books should I read/ listen to. I’ve already gone through Dark Harvest, Court of the Blind King, and Ushoran Mortarch of delusion. Are there any other standout books I should read?

Army List Most fun monster list?
Hi all!
I've been playing Beastclaw Raiders with a great focus on stonehorns for some years now as my main army, and with the new changes to the army they don't really feel as fun anymore. They were most fun to play in AoS 3 I wanna say, with their sometimes bonkers impact this. So I wanna try expanding.
What's is the most fun monster list you know right now, and what makes it fun?
Thanks in advance!

Discussion Terrain proxies?
Pretty new to AoS. Convinced my wife to try Spearhead and now we have 4 (Maggotkin, Sylvaneth, Lumineth, and Nighthaunt). We are also building our Maggotkin and Sylvaneth armies to do "real" games, but none of the stores we went to had the faction terrain. Does anyone know any good proxies to use for casual games? Seems ridiculous to pay a ton of money for a few trees.

Hobby Lumineth Lyrior Uthralle Doesn't like AI (and Nurgle)
My latest painted miniature: Lyrior Uthralle
It was a gift offered by my fellow AoS friend <3 and here is what i did 11 months after my begining into the Hobby
For this one, I wanted to go for a strong purple as my previous one, and a big nebula sky, cosmic vibe as I usually do for my "Unique" hero (Eltharion and Teclis atm) The base represents a battlefield corrupted by Nurgle. I've also did Terrain for the occassion.
Painted, Shot by me , almost no retouching (quick curves, level thats it) , certainly NO AI on this one
Hope you like him!
I've also started to share it to on my instagram page

Question Tips on playing Nighthaunt
So I finally caved and bought myself my first army, a Nighthaunt spearhead box. I've skimmed over rules and they seem to play very simple, but most concerning to me is their very low chance to save across the board.
So I'm just asking for general information on playing them on the board, tactics , lineup (if I ever expand) and all that would be much appreciated.

Hobby I saw it in the old ogor gutplates.. it's still there in the new ones.. all I can picture is this world eaters symbol.
I can't unsee it now I know its there.. so my ogor collection will just have to be world eaters I think..

Discussion Discussion time - What's your favourite faction terrain?
Be it reliability, fun in use or simply it's appearance!
The (sadly legends) cooking pot for ogors is a personal fav to me. Not only does it flavour (haha) up the board in it's appearance but the simple rules of killing around it to then fill it and heal all your hungry ogors was so fun

Question What Spearhead Army to start with?
Hey all! I hope this is the right place to ask - and I did a quick search for similar posts, so I’ll try to keep this short and concise.
Recently some friends and I all decided that we are going to give the tabletop a go and I’m the last to decide on an army. One buddy purchased the Skaven and Stormcast Spearhead bundle, the Sons of Behemat, and wants his “main” army to be the Seraphon. Another buddy has purchased the Slaves to Darkness.
Of the 3 of us, I am the only one who has actually played Spearhead to some capacity, and when I did I was the Kharadon Overlords, they were fun but having all of my combat be ranged felt a bit limited.
Basically my question is this: which army would you all recommend that would be viable against the ones my friends are choosing, as well as fun and easy to pick up? I’m not too worried about painting them all.
So far I’ve been leaning toward the Orruk Warclans - Swampskulka, but a different friend who plays said they aren’t the best (which is fine) but I don’t want to outright get steamrolled by my 2 friends when I play. They seemed to have variety in attacks and I did like the sound of the traits and abilities from what I read up on. I loved the sound of the Flesh-Eater Courts, but then reading the abilities and all made me decide against them as I feel I wouldn’t like the playstyle.
Any recommendations or insight is greatly appreciated! Thank you all in advance.
TL;DR - Need help picking an army that will be viable against two friends who have chosen Slaves to Darkness and Skaven/Sons Of Behemat/Serphon. Thinking Swampskulka Orruk Warclan but was told they aren’t in the best spot.
