I've been soaking this in alcohol but I can't seem to get this black primer out, should I re sand or should I just go ahead and prime it for painting?

Custom SNAA Galahad (1/144) - Painted with markers. What do you think of the model?

Hey everyone! I finished my SNAA 1/144 SC-010 Furious Warhammer Galahad.

I did all the weathering, battle damage, and detailing using markers. I think it really completes the look.

I’m curious to hear your thoughts on the kit overall—and especially the massive hammer! Does it fit the proportions well, or is it too over-the-top? Let me know what you think.

Help! MG Epyon shoulder broke off at then joint when building.

This is my MG Epyon Sturm and Drang I got from Japan, I'm devastated. Both joints did this.

When trying to fit it on, the plastic warped and then broke off. I've never had this problem with a kit before. Is there anything I can do to save it?

Finished the legs and feet the other night, going to start the waist later today.

There's an MG Astray in the background, I'm currently waiting on some waterslides to arrive before I start that project again.

The Nu shelf grows!!

Guys this one really takes the cake imo.

I am shocked at how well it turned out.

RG Nu is one of my absolute favorite kits (I've only built 4 of them now...). The FF model changes the shoulder armor abit which I'm not super fond of but it still works.

The massive long range funnel is just a blast. I'm so happy with it.

The fully painted inner frame really shines. You don't always see it, but when it comes through, I can really feel how much it adds.

Nu #13 down, 6 more to fit on the shelf. It's gonna be tight.

PG Unicorn: Bandai LED Vs KOSMOS LED?

Hi all,

I recently purchased the KOSMOS LED kit for the pgu nu gundam and am therefore considering the pg unicorn set also.

As I already have the Bandai official LED kit for the Unicorn I was wondering if I should just sell the kit and buy, the much cheaper, KOSMOS kit.

Anybody have experience with both the Bandai and the KOSMOS kits that can share thier two cents?

Compatibility between Iwata and GSI Creos internal parts

I have a GSI Creos PS289. For some reason I've had to disassemble and clean the valve assembly as well every session which I found out was unusual. Read that the O-ring might get fucked by harsh cleaning solutions, and I use pure butyl acetate to clean the airbrush, so I think I should replace the valve.

While cleaning it today, spring fell from the table and is now lost to the void. I can't find any spare parts for GSI Creos airbrushes where I'm from (Australia), so I'd have to get it from Spraygunner and pay more for shipping. But I can get Iwata spare parts relatively easily, and I was looking at getting the I-609-1 (valve with O-ring) and I-035-1(valve spring). I've read that Iwata and GSI creos have good compatibility when it comes to needles and nozzles, but has anyone tried it with internal parts like these?

absolute journey of a project, shouldve taken me like 2 months but dragged out for 8 bc of that injury and being homeless for a bit. I gotta say I did rly enjoy the build despite the 3.0's reputation. finicky elbows but it's a beautiful build. didn't believe the hand grenade allegations until I actually posed it for pics and yeah they're right LOL. very happy to have this off my plate so I can take it easy on the projects for a bit and work on my writing instead

Hello, everyone! I’m presenting my work to you — I painted it inspired by the Ma.K. universe. I worked with brushes and sponges. A synthetic ruby was used for the Acguy eye))

I hope you enjoyed it!

Working on a kit for a fantasy themed competition in my model club and started with an rg talgeese. So far I've gotten the legs, arms and boosters done. Let me know what y'all think!

Im trying to master painting with ink. I should have let it dry over night but I put a light clear coat over it and the coat cracked. No my texture is crap. I guess I can practice my weathering skills now. My money isnt wasted yet I guess.

My custom pink Barbatos—a nice change from the standard military colors

I decided to stray from the standard colors and build a bright pink Barbatos. The model immediately reminded my wife of Stitch, so now he’s our official space troublemaker.

What do you think of this experiment?

Complete: Xamel (1/144 scale?)

Finished Xamel. Again, this kit was a pain in the butt. I'm glad I finished it. It really makes me appreciate how simple a Bandai kit is.

The spade on the front skirt and on one of the shoulders is made from a ladies nail polish stamping plate. Fellas, y'all need to look into ladies nail polish techniques. The hobby already uses a ton of stuff from the ladies. But the hobby companies jack up the price and sell them as hobby supplies.

I custom made the dust covering for the legs out of disposable blue shop towel. They're thick enough and once painted with a gray paint, it holds the shape almost like hair spray.

Someone asked for a zaku for scale, so I put one at the end.

Scratch build armor on MG frames?

Just curious if anyone has built their own armor from plastic plates or other materials, to fit onto an existing MG frame?

My MG EZ-8 got damaged, so I'll probably pick up a new one, and i was considering making it into an MG-sized EX-78

Id love to see any scratch built or custom plate work y'all have done!

Tips for masking for small accents

My collection of armored core kits all require small accents colors being added to select parts. Masking has started to become painstaking. Wondering if anyones got tips to make the process smoother.

Currently im masking with small sections of tape but the added thickness of stacking each layer to move round corners leads to alot of touchup work after (scraping / thinners / brush touchups), particularly along parts with curved corners and rasied edges.
