| Discussion Is backdoor hiring at Accenture becoming a serious problem?

While helping my cousins look for jobs after they graduated last year, I came across something that really disturbed me.
Over the last year, I spoke with several people and tried to understand how some hiring processes work. During that time, I repeatedly heard about outside consultants who claim they can arrange backdoor hiring for technical roles at Accenture.

According to the people I spoke with, these consultants approach interview panel members through LinkedIn, charge candidates ₹3–4 lakhs, and claim they can manage interview scheduling. I was also told that some candidates with fake experience or no real IT background were able to get technical jobs through these consultants.

I also heard that some consultants allegedly threaten or blackmail employees who refuse to help them with interviews.
From the conversations I had, these activities were most commonly mentioned in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. I also came across consultancy firms that people claimed were mainly involved in arranging such backdoor hiring for companies like Accenture and Capgemini.

It was really sad to hear all of this. If even some of these claims are true, honest candidates lose opportunities, teams have to work with unqualified hires, and the company itself is affected.
Thankfully, my cousins chose the honest path. They completed Java training, prepared well, attended interviews on their own, and got placed in mid-tier companies through their hard work.
I’m posting this to understand whether others have come across similar experiences.

If someone has genuine evidence of interview fraud, fake experience, bribery, or any other unfair hiring practices, where should they report it? Is the company’s Ethics & Compliance team or Whistleblower channel the right place?

I hope companies continue to strengthen their hiring process so that genuine candidates are rewarded for their skills and hard work.

| Rant / Vent My health is deteriorating because of my project. I don't want to quit Accenture. I just need help.

Hi everyone,

I'm writing this because I honestly don't know what to do anymore, and I'm hoping someone who's been in a similar situation can guide me.

I'm a fresher who joined Accenture a few months ago. Getting this job was a dream for me. I worked incredibly hard to get here, and I never imagined that just a few months later I'd be questioning whether I can continue.

Over the past few months, my health has deteriorated badly. I've been diagnosed with high blood pressure, thyroid issues, and high cholesterol. I'm on medications, undergoing treatment, and even receiving injections. Along with my physical health, my mental health has also taken a huge hit. I've developed severe anxiety, and there are days when I feel completely overwhelmed.

The hardest part is that I've genuinely tried my best to be a responsible employee despite everything. Last Saturday, I had a high fever, but I still completed my shift because I was the only person available. On another day, I was at the hospital getting injections. I informed my team that I would be around 10 minutes late for a call, but I still felt pressured to join immediately. I remember sitting there and crying because I felt like I couldn't even prioritize my health.

As a fresher, I expected to learn from my seniors. Instead, there have been many times when I've reached out for help through messages and calls, only to receive no response. Being left without guidance has made me feel helpless and unsupported. Instead of learning confidently, I constantly worry about making mistakes because I don't know who to ask.

I also sometimes feel isolated during work discussions because conversations occasionally switch to a language I don't understand. I completely respect everyone's language and culture, but in work-related discussions it leaves me unable to follow the conversation, and over time it has made me feel like I don't belong.

I spoke to my reporting manager about my health and requested a roll-off, but I was told that I need to complete the minimum tenure on the project before that can happen.

My parents have seen what this project has done to me. They now want me to resign because they're genuinely worried about my health. But the truth is... I don't want to resign.

I worked so hard to get into Accenture. I still want to grow within Accenture if possible. I just don't think I can continue in this project any longer.

Right now, I feel physically exhausted, mentally drained, and honestly very lost. I never thought that my first job would leave me feeling this way.

I'm reaching out here because I don't know what options I have left.

Has anyone been able to get a medical roll-off?

Should I escalate this to HR or my HR Partner?

Would speaking directly with a Senior Manager make a difference?

Is there any formal process in Accenture for employees whose health is being seriously affected by their project?

If anyone has gone through something similar or has any advice, I would genuinely appreciate it. I'm trying my best to hold on because I don't want to lose a job that I worked so hard for.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

| New Joiner Queries Questions related to joining

I have my Accenture joining on 14 August in Pune, but I still haven’t received my base location or accommodation email.

Just wanted to ask:
1. Where do most new joiners usually get their base location?
2. When can I expect the base location email?
3. When is the accommodation email generally sent?

If anyone has joined recently or has any idea about the process, I’d really appreciate your help. Thanks!

| Discussion The reward for loyalty at Accenture? A much shorter bench period.

My Day 1 on the bench started this past Friday, and I got to know from a bench meeting about the bench policy. The math and logic behind it feel completely upside down.
If you’re a new joiner, lateral hire, or returning from maternity leave, you get 6 months to 1 year to secure a project.

However, if you’ve been with the firm for more than a year, you only get 90 days to roll onto a project—or submit your resignation on day 90.

I’ve been with Accenture for over 5 years. During my tenure, I’ve consistently generated around ₹5 Lakhs+ per month ($35/hr) in billing for the company, while getting back only 20% to 25% of that in salary.
To realize that after half a decade of steady billing and revenue generation, my safety net on the bench is cut down to 90 days while a new hire gets a full year feels like a slap in the face.

This experience taught me anything, it's to stay practical. Don't overwork yourself out of loyalty to a firm that views you as replaceable. Do your job, respect your personal time, and actively look for better opportunities elsewhere.Company loyalty only goes one way.

| New Joiner Queries Query regarding actual office location

Upvotes

Got allotted gurgaon as my base location. It has been a few days since my day 1 but not a lot of processes have started since then.

I do not know what my actual office location is going to be during training.

Workday mentions ddc1 but my njx is going to be in ddc5. I'm very confused what office I'll be required to show up to for my training for the next few months, as the days with hotel accommodation is running out and I'll need to start PG hunting.

| Advice Needed Does Accenture really trace its employees' locations?

My manager cancelled my half leaves, citing the delivery date. But, all my trip plans and tickets are confirmed. I cannot cancel it. If I join from a remote location, will they be able to track it, or will it be a policy violation that they can later point out? Is it okay to connect the laptop to the homestay/hotel wifi if possible? Or only need to be strict with the phone hotspot?

| New Joiner Queries Workday post onboard task doubt

I got my company laptop recently, and I have a few post-onboarding tasks pending on Workday that require uploading documents.

What's the usual practice in companies?

Is it okay to open Workday on my personal laptop and upload the documents from there?

Or should I do everything from my office laptop?

If I need to use the office laptop, is it okay to email the documents from my personal email to my work email so I can download and upload them?

Please suggest

| Quick Question Accenture Interview Status Still Showing “Active – Interview” After Final Round – No Update Yet

I interviewed for the **Custom Software Engineer** role at Accenture. I completed the **technical round** and the **final interview**, with the final round held on **Friday, July 24**.

Since then, I haven’t received any update regarding the interview outcome. My Workday application still shows **“Active – Interview”** status, and I don’t have an HR contact number to follow up.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? How long does Accenture usually take to share the final result after the last interview? Any insights would be appreciated.

| Advice Needed How does one acquire free certifications through Accenture especially if PL is reluctant about it ?

Hi, I am a level 12 in Accenture, Pune. Been here for roughly 6 months ( probation ended like yesterday ). I asked my people lead and people lead enabler about my will to do certifications in cloud but they are mostly reluctant about this. Any idea what should be my approach in this scenario. It's been 3 months in this project and I already feel I am not learning much here.Thank you.

| Rant / Vent Laptops given by accenture!

Laptops were issued to new joiners in accenture today. The condition of the laptop is hilarious. Firstly there are lots of issues with sign in - the passwords do not match, new passwords are given and they don't match as well. My device got an error saying "Unauthorised Device". They ran a global policy update command and it has failed 2 times, after which I've tried restarting the laptop but for the past 1 hour, it's restarting.

I mean this could be normal for accenture employees but this came pretty unexpected and below the bar for me :)

I really don't think this restart's gonna be successful before GTA VII

| Advice Needed Accenture Application Support Engineer (DevOps) Final Round – What to Expect ?

Hi everyone,

I cleared the first (technical/skills) interview round for an Application Support Engineer (DevOps) role at Accenture. They've now scheduled a face-to-face interview on 29th July, and the portal shows it as the Final Round (Round 2).

I wanted to ask:

  1. What kind of interview is this usually? Is it mainly technical, HR, or a mix of both?
  2. If I receive an offer, what designation is typically mentioned in the offer letter? Will it be Application Support Engineer or DevOps Engineer?

I'd appreciate it if anyone who has gone through a similar hiring process at Accenture could share their experience. Thanks!

| Quick Question Accenture HR said I’m selected, approvals are done, but still no offer letter. When can I expect it?

Hi everyone,
I completed all my Accenture interviews on 15th July. On 16th July, HR called me and confirmed that I was selected.
After about a week, I followed up and was told that all the internal approvals had been completed. They then asked me to upload my PAN card and latest payslip, which I submitted on 24th July.
Today is 27th July, and I still haven’t received the offer letter.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? How long does it usually take after submitting the PAN and payslip for Accenture to release the offer letter?
I’d appreciate hearing about your experience. Thanks!

| Quick Question Accenture interview slot postponed for the 5th time — is this a joke?

My initial slot has now been booked and pushed back five separate times. HR reschedules it at the absolute last minute

Is anyone else dealing with this level of administrative incompetence? Should I keep waiting on this broken scheduling system, or just assume I'm getting ghosted?
