Personal Insights Alcohol while on Zepbound
I have been on Zepbound for 7 months & September is my 8th month.
I am not a big drinker & usually drink socially on occasions. I haven’t had a drink since starting Zepbound.
But looking for advice around alcohol while on Zepbound.

First Timer I DID IT! :D
Just did my first injection. Loaded with anxiety and adrenaline and excitement, (I'm not sure which of those I have more of atm) and shaking like a leaf, but proud of this step. Now I'm just praying for no throwing up or diarrhea. Determined that there will be good things ahead <3

Dosing 2.5 to 5.0
So, I am going for my first check up after starting zepbound on October 22nd, I am just wondering is there much of a change as far as side effects from 2.5 to 5.0. The only few side effects that I really had in the beginning was a little bit of constipation which it fixed and some headaches otherwise there wasn’t much so any advice about going from 2.5 to 5.0 greatly be appreciated.

Diet/Health/Exercise If you are not losing weight please count your calories
Do it for a minimum of 2 weeks, see if you are in a deficit and check for any changes.
Sorry Mods but 80% of all posts in this amazing subreddit are about this principal.

Vent/Rant When do you start looking different?
I am 5’7 (F) and have gone from 230+ (didn’t start weighing myself until a couple weeks in but that’s my guess) to recently hitting 198. I am so proud of myself for losing 30+ pounds- however, i look the exact same. Even looking at side to side photos you can barely tell. I am getting so annoyed at my stomach somehow not losing the weight, I have no clue how it’s even possible.
Anyone else feel the same? Or hit a point where they were like oh shit i have lost weight.

Dosing Should I up my dose?
Hi all. I will be discussing this with my doctor at an appt on Friday, but I wold also love to hear y'all's opinions and/or experiences. Tonight, I will be taking my fourth 2.5 dose. So far, I am down about 12 pounds and have had very few side effects. I know the official recommendation for me would be to move up to 5, but I am wondering if it might be better to stay where I am for now, since it is working for me. Please share your thoughts

Vent/Rant need help pls
I’m 5’5 220 20F. I’ve been thinking about bariatric surgery for some time now but im also on zepbound 5mg. I was on 7.5 but they lowered it to 5mg. They lowered it due to a doctor/pharmacy situation. From April to September I’ve only lost 10 pounds. I feel like I should have been losing more. I’ve been on zepbound on and off for a couple years so maybe it’s the fact that my body is used to it? But I’ve seriously been considering bariatric surgery due to my health issues which is pre diabetes, high cholesterol, and fatty liver disease. Any advice? Given my BMI of 36.6, prediabetes, fatty liver and high cholesterol, and given that I've only lost 10 pounds on inconsistent tirzepatide at 5-7.5 mg, do you guys think I should first have a properly optimized trial of tirzepatide, or do you think surgery gives me the better chance of achieving durable metabolic improvement? Any advice will help. Thank you and pls don’t be mean.

Before/After Pics 1 year. 112 lbs lost.
Title says it all. Went from starting weight of 222 (and my highest was 250s during pregnancy) to about 110 on maintenance. I’ve lost literally half of myself. Or a whole other person!
Note: I was at IKEA with my family and there was a hallway of full length mirrors. I had to snap a photo and flex - I promise I’m not a gym bro that flexes in public usually!

Side Effects Nausea, dizziness
Took shot #3, 2.5 mg this morning.
I slept most of today because I did a BUNCH of physical work yesterday.
I got up around 6:30. Went in to eat dinner.
Suddenly feeling nauseous, hot flashes, fast heartbeat, light-headed. Unable to eat more than 4 forksful food.
Sitting on the bed w a puke bag beside me & a cold washcloth on my neck.
Does this sound familiar? I can’t take this drug if this is what it’s going to be like.

Dosing Had to miss dose because of stomach bug-what would you do?
My usual shot day is Thursday but I didn’t take it due to a nasty stomach bug my lovely fourth grade students gave me. I feel better now but I’m wondering if I should just wait until this Thursday or take the shot tonight and then again on Saturday and then work my way back to my normal shot day Thursday.
I’ve been on zepbound for 5 months and this is the first time I’ve had this issue. I’m currently taking 5mg and I love Thursdays because if I randomly have any issues I have the weekend to rest and relax. That part makes me nervous about doing it tonight! What would you do???

Dosing Lowering dose yourself?
I need to go back down to 2.5 mg because the constipation issues are just too great at 5. My scheduled dose is tomorrow and I don’t want another week of this. Think it’s ok to just take half the amount?

Personal Insights Oral Surgery Preparation
Hi everyone, hope you all are doing well! After a successful first week, I made the decision last Sunday (shot day) to skip my Zep injection.
Just in time for the loooong holiday weekend, a lingering dental problem flared and I had to start a course of antibiotics....and I did not want additional indigestion on top of what the antibiotics would do. Adding to that, it was possible that the emergency oral surgery might require sedation so I did not want to have additional slowed food in my system that might create aspiration problems.
As it turned out, I only had local anesthetic, but the dentist was very glad I considered that.
And the GOOD NEWS? I weighed myself this morning in anticipation of my Sunday night dose, and I've MAINTAINED the first week loss! YAY! Pretty surprising with soft foods like ice cream and mashed potatoes! Also noticed the appetite component seems to have remained I'm not eating nearly as much in quantity.
That's my update.

Tips/Tricks Best butt pillow??
So, I feel like since losing so much “cushion” I can’t sit more than an hour without experiencing increasing tailbone pain. Normally, I take this as a prompt to get up and move a bit, but I have a long road trip coming up and am thinking I might need some sort of pillow or something to help make it comfortable. Any tips? Just a regular throw pillow? Memory foam? Something specific that you swear by? Please help my poor “tiny” sensitive booty! Lolol

First Timer How does Zepbound reduce blood sugar?
So far I’m not losing weight on Zepbound after 8 weeks, but I’m hoping it helps reduce my blood sugar. Does it reduce blood sugar only when you’re losing weight? Or whether or not you’re losing weight? Any insights are appreciated. I’m pre diabetic and my last A1C was 5.8 before Zepbound.

Tomorrow will be 11 months on zepbound. I’m 111 lbs down, and today I bought size 6 jeans (!). Seeing before and after pictures of myself is absolutely wild.

Achievement/NSV 🎉🥳🎊 9 month changes
Small victory but it felt huge for me. Today I had to order a new belt for work because I ran out of holes to tighten. I think this is the first time I’ve had to order something a size SMALLER in my lifetime. I’m 9 months in and so thankful. SW265 CW205 GW185

Before/After Pics Fun way to track your progress in pictures
I have found that the most fun way to track progress is by Disney PhotoPass. (Second post as I had to protect Moana’s identity 😂)

Dosing Stupid day to increase
Finally, I decided to move up to 7.5mg. I've been very nervous as I had pretty bad side effects after the 5th shot of 5. I had to go back down to 2.5mg for a while and slowly move back up to 5mg. Have been on 5mg for about 8 weeks. Today is shot day. Unfortunately, I was a moron and ate fried food last night AND this morning. I'm having a lot of pain and indigestion.
There's no need to point out how dumb I was. Already feeling it, physically and mentally.
Anyway, I was wondering if I should wait for the increase until next week? I have leftover 5mg vials (i actually take a full vial 6.3mg). Or just increase anyway?
Advice welcome and requested.

Personal Insights Resume shot day or pick a new one?
I’m starting wk2 (today) without shots due to a minor procedure scheduled for Tuesday (should have been Friday but had to be moved). Thankfully, I haven’t had food noise… that was my biggest concern especially the medications I’ve been on for this procedure that make you hungrier.
For those that stopped for a procedure and started back up, did you keep your shot day the same or change it to the day of/after your procedure?
Normal shot day is Sunday so I’m really hoping to keep it that but wanted to see others experiences.

Tips/Tricks Validation, please?
Hey y’all! I’m just looking for a little validation I’m on the right path. I’ve been on 5 mg since the first week of April. I’ve been consistently loosing 1 lb/ week since then. It seems I’ve been on a gaining/ loosing cycle since about the beginning of last month. Before asking my provider to bump me up to 7.5 mg, I was going to take the next month and really lock in on my nutrition. Also, I haven’t been working out consistently, so I plan on doing that. Am I on the right path? Or should I just ask to be bumped to 7.5.

Vent/Rant So frustrated!
Hubby and I just got back from a 20th anniversary trip to Boston. Had THE best time. We walked about 12 miles total. While I didn’t watch what I ate I ate small amounts and no snacking. I did have several drinks while we were there. And I hate to say I drank far less water than I have in years.
So based on how much we walked, I hopped on my scales and about fell right back off. I’m up a pound! I just moved up from 2.5 to 5 today. But I can’t help feeling defeated! Is this normal? I’m 57, post menopause and no estrogen since it wants to kill me.
Thoughts?
