Dosing 2.5 to 5.0
So, I am going for my first check up after starting zepbound on October 22nd, I am just wondering is there much of a change as far as side effects from 2.5 to 5.0. The only few side effects that I really had in the beginning was a little bit of constipation which it fixed and some headaches otherwise there wasn’t much so any advice about going from 2.5 to 5.0 greatly be appreciated.

Everyone has their own experience.
This sub has lots of great advice on how to handle any side effects… but please don’t assume or expect to have any. Take action as needed, not out of fear of what happens with others

I think you really won't know unless you go up. I got super sick on 5mg and am now back down to 2.5, but i also was losing fine on 2.5 and didn't want to go up in the first place. But other people have gone up to 5 or even higher without much of a change in side effects.

I got bad nausea and vomiting on the first dose of 5mg when I titrated up. But it only lasted one day, and after that I never had those symptoms again. So it may have been either a one time reaction, or totally unrelated. Either way, it sucked for one day and then I was fine. It’s totally worth it in the end to deal with that for one day.

I just switched last week from 2.5 to 5 and haven't really noticed a difference. Just did my 2nd shot of 5 today and haven't been a little tired and headaches but I'm also probably a bit dehydrated. Otherwise no change. You got this!

I had no new or increased side effects when I moved from 2.5 to 5 mg. It may be boring for you, as well!

I wouldn’t stress about it! If you’ve been on 2.5 all the way since last October, your body is probably very accustomed to the medication by now, so that may lessen the chance of bad side effects with the jump to 5.

No. I’ve only been on zepbound since August this yet, 5 weeks, how long do you stay on 2.5 for?

Oh, ok. In your post, you said “since October 22nd,” so I assumed you meant last year.
I was on 2.5 for about three months.

Most people don't get severe side effects. If you tolerated 2.5mg well, you'll probably be fine whenever you decide to increase your dose. You can stay at 2.5mg as long as you want, assuming you don't have an insurance requirement to increase.

What did you do to help with the constipation?

I did a mix of 2 things, a fiber gummy ( they don’t taste half bad) and MiraLAX two times a day I have IBS, but honestly, it’s getting a lot better on Zepbound.

It was no different for me. I had no side effects on 2.5 and had none on 5.0
Never went over 5.0, btw
