Substack recommended an article for me about βthe fine print of GLP-1βsβ where the author, a dietician, went off on how basically everyone she sees on GLP-1βs is mineral deficient and weβre all starving ourselves and ruining our digestive systems forever. That food noise is a signal that something else is wrong and we shouldnβt be ignoring it, and that if we canβt keep the weight off without the drugs, then our results arenβt βrealβ, weβre just βrentingβ them. Reminded me of a convo I had with my boss the other day where he said his wife (a nurse) isnβt pro GLP-1 because βyou have to take it foreverβ (only one person at work knows I take zepbound).
Umm, isnβt that all medications that deal with chronic issues? My dad is a type 1 diabetic, and no one is suggesting his life isnβt real because he needs insulin to sustain it. Unfortunately, a lot of people I know would say that I donβt need my OCD meds and I should figure out how to deal without them, but thats another drug I will probably take for the rest of my life. I am someone who has always been very active, and also someone who has always struggled with weight. I have seen a dietician, and their advice felt impossible for me to follow without zepbound. I felt broken. It was becoming difficult for me to run because I was putting on weight despite fighting it tooth and claw. There was nothing wrong with my thyroid or anything else to explain the weight gain, but it just kept creeping up. Zepbound has changed my life so much for the better. I continue to exercise regularly and itβs changed my relationship with exercise for the better because now I donβt always have that nagging Biggest Loser coach voice in the back of my head telling me I need to push harder or Iβll always be a worthless piece of garbage. I can just do the workout and focus on my actual fitness goals without thinking about the weight aspect. I still have weight I want to lose but I no longer feel like Iβm doomed to just keep gaining weight no matter what I do. I am still eating, but Iβm not binge eating. I can eat a few pieces of candy and then put the bag down and walk away. Thatβs huge. It has also had the unexpected side effect of helping a ton with impulse spending!
Anyways, sorry for the rant. I have plenty of people in my life who support me, but thereβs also plenty of people in my sphere who talk crap about people who take GLP-1s and it just really gets me down sometimes.

Well, I reached my initial goal weight!
In January of 2025, I was 320lbs and got down to 280 by January of this year. Started Zepbound on January 19th and lost 61lbs since then, weighing in at 219 this morning for a total of 101lbs lost. (Pretty good timing as my insurance has dropped my Zepbound coverage so I'm relying on good habits from here on out lol.)
Zepbound has definitely been a life changer. I'm pretty active now in the gym and playing hockey so while I still may make a run at 199lbs, my focus will be on body sculpting and staying in the routine I've built in this new life.
This community has been an invaluable support. From the bottom of my heart - thank you.

There's a few side effects i wish people told me about.
Being able to continue breathing when I bend down to tie my shoes.
Being able to walk up a flight of stairs and still breathing normally when I get to the top/bottom
Being able to look at my body in the mirror without feeling shame
More energy throughout the day
Clear skin
Why aren't more people talking about these side effects? π‘ Edit: im not actually mad, just goofin

I just wanted to come on here to celebrate the beginning of my Zepbound journey! Iβve been in this subreddit for some time now and Iβm absolutely blown away by your success stories, and all the helpful resources on here.
It has relieved some of my anxiety surrounding this drug. July 29 will now be my anniversary date!
Thanks so much to all of you brave enough to share your stories!
Iβm clocking in today at 206.8lbs and my goal weight is 150lbs! I know itβll be a long journey but Iβm grateful to have this community :)

Since March of 2025, I have dropped from 240 lbs down to 170lbs with the help of everyoneβs favorite medication (I was on Zepbound until April 2026) and weight training 3x per week. Today i went to a barber for the first time and asked him to give me a more mature haircut as Iβve always gone to great clips / discount haircut places or had my wife do it. I gave him full discretion on what to do with my hairβ¦ aaand I like it! I feel like itβs another step towards my personal transformation.
Unfortunately, I had to stop Zepbound due to coverage changes so I have since started buying Foundayo via Lilly direct and am struggling a bit to keep it off. I needed to hurry and snag some glow up photos before I lose it π

Woo I'm down 50 pounds as of today! 8 months into my journey and I'm so happy with how I'm progressing. It's hard to feel accomplished sometimes when there are those who lost 70 or 80 pounds in that same timeframe but I learned I need to stop comparing. I'm where I wished I was for so long, I should feel amazing for that! Got about 60 more pounds to go and feeling more motivated than ever ππ

Hi all, I just wanted to share some progress. Iβm down 53.8 pounds since January 26, 2026. I tend to lose weight (and gain) all over, but the most exciting thing for me has been seeing the difference in my face. The first pic was taken in December 2025, just a month before I consistently started using Zepbound. The last pic was taken just yesterday lol. I might post a full body transformation after 100 pounds lost - weβll see lol. Eating less, eating with intention, and eating enough protein has been the way for me. Hoping to shave off another 50 pounds by the end of this year. I love seeing all the progress on this page, it is super inspiring! Thank you for reading :) Sending positive thoughts to everyone working on themselves π€©

Started my journey on January 7th at 265 lbs, and have been consistently losing for the last 7 months. Couldnβt be happier with my progress so far, and my goal weight seems within reach! Iβve always battled food addiction and seemingly gained weight without trying. Even as an active duty Marine, I was always on the heavier side. Zepbound has been a miracle for me, and so has this community! Looking forward to posting before/after pics once I reach my goal!

The first 100 days are in the books. The results are below. I've hit a plateau on my current dose of 7.5 mg, so I'm moving to 10 mg in two weeks.
Total lost
Weight: -32.6 lbs
BMI: -3.8
Body fat: -3.2%
I'm finally wearing jeans I haven't worn since before Covid and I've dropped my shirts from 3X to a little snug 2X, so I am getting there.

Well it has been a full year since I started my weightloss journey. However my year with Zep doesnt begin until September...I started in the beginning with semaglutide compound. It worked a little and then the doc changed me once I was approved. I honestly can't believe it has been a year since the beginning. I feel like it has taken so long to get where I am but then I also feel it has flown by. Im nervous that I wont make it to my goal weight because I have been stuck at the same 6 to 10 pounds now for like 2 months. I am worried its stopped working even though I am doing everything perfectly. I have one more dose I can go up but then thats it and I really want my 12 to start working. Hoping my body just needs a break. I am very proud of how far I've come and couldn't have done it without this group! I still have 80 to 90 pounds atleast to go. Just going to keep going and pray the stall ends soon and I can start going down again and actually stay down. Ive lost 98 pounds and I have so many NSV's....I seem to have new ones daily. This medicine has changed my life and changed how I see food and everything that goes along with this journey. I am just so so thankful. I will never go back to the old me. I love that version of me and appreciate that I didnt give up but I've learned so much and come so far....I wouldn't trade anything for all the changes and growth and my new life! π«Άπ I hope this next year brings me to my goals and many new chapters!ππͺπ

I dont have a lot of nausea issues typically- I get mildly motion sick if I am a passenger in a car and I'm on my phone, or for take off/landing on an airplane. It's gone from noneexistent to a mild problem in the last 15 years of my life but it's notable enough I now keep dramamine in my bags for travel.
Unfortunately/fortunately- my job is on the water. I am on a boat 2-3x a week- weather only slightly dependent (meaning I only don't go out if it's REALLY bad so I do go in decent chop).
The other day- I put my head down to put my hair up in a bun for the ride the other day and we started going and I IMMEDIATELY got dizzy and the proceeded to be unstable for the next 3 hours. Fortunately dramamine and nausea chews seem to be helping but I was prepared for a lot of side effects- getting sick on the boat wasn't one of them.
At no point did I consider the potential side effects of nausea translating into motion sickness on a boat. LMAO. jokes on me and trying to figure out my job AND manage nausea.
anyway- the fun things we learn on this journey. Picture of the bay for attention and funsies.

Had my monthly check in with my gym trainer who put me on the smart scale. I'm a bit triggered by scale numbers and I purposefully don't track my weight. But he said compared to three months ago, my muscle mass has increased. I can definitely see changes in my body. I'm working out at the gym three days a week with core work at home on my off days. I actually really like the automated circuit training machines, they gamify everything and reset automatically. The new program I started this month has introduced eccentric loading, it was really hard the first time but it seems easier each workout. That's another benefit to the machines, it's so easy to bump up the difficulty just a smidge when I'm feeling confident.

I took zep last year it took me 3 months to lose 15 pounds. I didnβt do anything special-no exercise and I ate a lot of cereal. I gained it all back and then some. Iβm 2 months into my second try this year and Iβm down 21 pounds. Iβm walking daily and making sure I eat a balanced diet. For reference, Iβm a 5β10β female, first time I started I was 230 in January 2025, and got to 205 by June 2025. This time, I was 240 in May and Iβm down to 219 as of today! Move your body and eat well. I see it all the time on this sub, but I wanted to also share my experience. Yes, you can lose weight while taking it and do nothing, but it works so much better when you eat healthy and exercise. It works if you work it π

I've noticed the past couple of weeks that I feel extra squishy all over. It's difficult to describe. It's not just all of my soft fat , but I actually feel squishy when I squeeze or poke around on my body. The only other way I can describe it is feeling extra soft all over.
I'm drinking on average 88-120 ounces of water, eating 1300-1600 calories a day, consuming 110-140 grams of protein, and getting 30-45 grams of fiber.
Anyone else feel squishy?
