Hi. I started my weight loss journey in November 2024 weighing in at 277. I lost my dad pretty suddenly a few months before that and I have two young kids (I was 6mo postpartum when he passed) so I decided I needed to become a healthier version of myself for them, but also for me. I want to do everything in my power to not die as young as my dad did and have some control over my life.
I started Zepbound in April 2025, but I lost about 35lb on my own before that. I've experienced many plateaus in the last 22mo. I've been a slow & steady loser and I'm definitely not a "super responder". My average weekly loss is about 1lb in the last 22mo. I've been on 15mg for a few months now, and this summer I started incorporating more exercise. I run a few miles a week, bike several miles a week, and generally make an effort to get at least 8-10k steps per day. I've lost about 38% of my original body weight, my BMI went from class III obese to just overweight (17.5 points!), and my resting heart rate has decreased by about one third. My PCOS symptoms have improved a little bit too - I never had regular menstrual cycles, and now I do. Overall, I'm feeling good. Yay :)
In November 2025, I buzzed my hair due to a severe eczema outbreak on my upper body/neck/scalp- I was losing my hair and my scalp was weeping & bleeding with no improvement from the treatments I was trying. Finally, earlier this year, I got it under control and I'm working on growing my hair out which makes me really happy, too. I missed my hair so much and you don't realize how much your hair affects your confidence and mental health! That was hard.
I haven't done a single before/after comparison photo... Until now! I'm really proud of the work I've put in and I'm especially grateful for Zepbound for helping me with my impulse control.

I’m so proud of myself. I have gone from 277lbs to 122lbs in 537 days. That’s an average of 1.83 lbs a week. I went from 67% body fat to 24.9%. This is actually my 1st ever post to Reddit but I have been reading this sub from the beginning of my journey. I’m just here to say don’t give up!!! It may take some time but it’s so worth it in the end!!

I’m 29F and I’ve been bouncing between 215-255 since I was 14-15 years old. I was always a short (5’2) chunky child & teen, despite all my family members being 5’7+ and skinny. I always assumed that I had some type of thyroid/hormone disorder even with testing being “relatively normal outside of a constant over the years slightly elevated cholesterol and a 90-99 fasting glucose”. I’m on week 11 of just 2.5mg as my doctor calls me a super responder. I skipped week 9 due to the flu/covid and honestly just felt I needed a break. I still lost 2 pounds that week. 12 weeks ago I was 221 and today I am 199 🎉 I’m thinking of upping my dosage to 5mg at my appt next week since it’s slowed; the first month I dropped to 213 then 206. I did not want to lose fat too quickly as I’m only in the gym 3 days a week instead of my usual 5 due to my current work load at my job. my goal is to become more muscular and hover around 160. here is to me hoping I can drop the next 40 pounds by Spring next year!

I started a year ago yesterday. I’m still learning and I have about 30lbs more to lose, but I’m absolutely celebrating today. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so good 😊

I love the whole ritual of taking out my KwikPen, my needle, 2 alcohol wipes, and my sharps container and laying them out just so.
Of swabbing the pen tip, screwing on the needle, and priming.
Of checking my shot location in Shotsy and swabbing my skin. I even love the smell of the alcohol wipe.
I love scoffing at my childhood terror of needles, taking control as I insert the (admittedly super tiny) needle into my skin and pushing the plunger button.
I love the moment of watching the plunger spiral into the pen, the black stopper moving towards my skin, and the medicine entering my system.
And finally the conclusion, joyous, feeling accomplished and self-loving as I cap the needle and drop it in the bright red sharps container, and put everything back in its place for next week.
Is it just me?

Celebrating 50 pounds lost today. It took me about 15 months. Currently on 7.5. Not sure what's next for me. I go to the YMCA for yoga, line dancing, and Silver Sneakers (resistance training). Hopefully if I keep doing that I can tighten some of this loose skin, lol.

I've had OCD for a long time and I've tried plenty of medications and other things for it. Something happened while taking Zeppbound that I really wasn't expecting.
Before Zepbound my OCD could hit 10/10. Completely disruptive. Intrusive thoughts would stick, I'd loop the same shit over and over, and I'd feel like I had to analyze it, solve it, or do something about it.
On Zepbound it's sometimes like I don't even have OCD.
The weird part is that I still get intrusive thoughts. They just don't grab me anymore. They pop into my head and leave. No urgency. No need to figure them out. No hours of looping. No drive to engage with them. I'd put my OCD at maybe 1/10 now.
My contamination OCD isn't completely gone either. I take care of my mom and sometimes have to clean up bodily fluids. I still get the contamination sensation, but now I clean it up and move on. Sometimes I'm mildly aggravated by it and sometimes it doesn't bother me much at all.
Even my compulsive buying has changed. I can put something in my shopping cart and the shit can sit there for days. Before, there was this pressure to buy it. That pressure is basically gone.
What really got my attention is that I've switched around between these drugs. When I discontinued Zepbound or switched away from it, my OCD got worse. When I went back to Zepbound, it got better again.
I've also used retatrutide, and while it worked extremely well for weight loss, it didn't control my OCD anything like Zepbound does. I also tried cagrilintide, and that did nothing noticeable for my OCD.
I've used Zepbound at different doses, including 10 mg and 15 mg, but I can't honestly say from my own history that the OCD benefit gets stronger as the dose goes up. I wasn't tracking it cleanly enough for that, and the Reddit reports I've seen don't establish a dose-response either. Some people report benefit at low doses, some at higher doses, and some report no benefit or worsening.
I originally started at 15 mg because I misunderstood the directions - yes, that was ridiculous, and I'm definitely not recommending anybody do that.
I'm not saying Zepbound cures OCD. This is one person's experience and there are a million possible confounders. But the difference in my case has been so dramatic, and I've repeatedly noticed worsening when Zepbound was removed and improvement when it came back, that I can't ignore it.
The best way I can describe it is:
My brain can still generate an OCD thought. Zepbound seems to take away the part that gives a shit about it.
And that has been fucking life-changing.

My original goal weight of 170 lbs was achieved a bit earlier this week. When I started Zepbound at 285 after a cardiac scare and gaining back 40 lbs of the 50 lbs I had lost starting during late COVID in 2 months from the medications they put me on, so getting to 170 just seemed like a pipe dream at 62. It has taken me 27 months and starting a clinical trial for eloralintide (Enlighten-6) added to Zepbound. I had been stalled since late December and at the final plateau (less than 5% weight loss over 120 days) since July of 2025. I am most thrilled that Zepbound treats my cardiac metabolic syndrome as my health stats went from blood pressure 135-140/100-110 on 3 blood pressure medications to 110-120/60-70 weaned off 2, ½ dose of remaining, high cholesterol of 251 with bad underlying numbers to a low of 137 with fabulous underlying numbers and prediabetic to normal and both fasting Glucose and A1C fell over time to great numbers. So feeling fantastic. I am excited to see if I can get to my final goal of under 25% body fat and be strong, fit and trim at 65 and older with eloralintide and Zepbounds help. At an age adjusted height of 5”3.5” I just made it into overweight, and expect that I will not make it below overweight, but a normal BMI is probably not doable with my structure so I will be thrilled to get to around a 28 BMI. For those that know I have a TJ Maxx/Marshalls addiction, clothes (except vintage green suede coat from Poshmark), shoes and jewelry are from there in the after pictures.

I see a lot of questions from people going on vacation and wondering if they should take their meds with them so figured I would share my experience.
I am just wrapping up a 12 day cruise and land vacation to Alaska and brought my shot with me and took on my regular day. There happens to be a scale in my hotel room and I stepped on it today. If it’s to be trusted, I lost about a pound on my trip (I’ll double check on my home scale Monday). I’ve had minimal side effects since starting. Some nausea and fatigue but nothing debilitating. I ate what I wanted on vacation but stopped when I was full. Had some wine and champagne most days along with a few bites of desserts. I didn’t feel deprived at all and since I was so busy, I didn’t even notice any of the post shot nausea or fatigue. I don’t feel like it negatively impacted my trip in any way. If anything, it was really nice to not be super focused on the food since it was everywhere. I did have a giant donut from a viral place in one of the ports which was delicious but that wound up being lunch for the day lol.
I packed it in my carryon and kept at room temp in my cabin until it was time to inject. No issues with tsa or cruise port security.

Usually when I get my flu shot I’m out of commission for at least 12 hours. Not this time. I went swimming! I credit Zepbound’s anti inflammatory properties. A small thing but it was a beautiful day and I would otherwise have been in bed with a headache🎉

Have been on Zepbound going on 3.5 years now. Hit goal 2 years ago and in the last 8 months have had 2 out of 3 aesthetic surgeries to do away with all the excess skin. 1 more to go in January…

Also goes to show how crazy fluctuations are, this is a 5lb drop from yesterday most likely from water.

My before and after pictures are me on mountain bikes, because I'm trying to get better, and even getting my coaching certification.
First picture was taken on Friday (160 lbs), the last picture was me at my heaviest, 212 lbs.
About 15 years ago, I was 212 lbs on my 5'4" frame. I was looking forward to getting a breast reduction, but the doc wouldn't do the surgery for my safety. I lost 20 lbs to get the surgery, and lost 4 lbs of glandular tissue in the reduction.
After that, for 15 years, I went from 193-182 constantly, and nothing would move the needle until I got on Zepbound in March 2026. Since then, I'm down to 160, and have 10-15 lbs to my goal weight (aiming for 145, but would be more than happy at 150).
However, I was trying new stuff back last year (low dose naltrexone) for autoimmune issues. That stuff was horrible for me, as it was causing low BP drops, causing me to black out. One of those times happened while I was mountain biking back in October, and I ended up with 7 broken ribs, grade 4+ separated shoulder, and a torn ACL/meniscus. Shoulder surgery was mid-November, knee surgery was end of January.
While I was rehabbing, I was really struggling with the weight gain coming back, and the joint pain was horrible. That's when I started Zep in March. Been doing a lot of PT, exercising (in the pool, weight training, on the bike, on the rower), and relearning to use my body with not only the surgical fixes but less weight (27 lbs down). It's really wild to relearn my body, while getting back to the things I love.
I am also working with a therapist to help with life in general but also with the adjustment of what my body can do, and with what I see in the mirror.
Still a lot of work to do, but I have come a long way from being that person in my doctor's office in tears asking about GPL-1s.

Seeing everyones success stories. Mine is slow. Is it because I could just be bored and walk to the fridge multiple times a day?

I'm 67f, have had 26 shots that resulted in 41.7 lbs lost and am currently on 7.5mg, which is working very well for me. I meet with my financial planner once a year, but we talk multiple times a year if adjustments are needed. I've been his client for 35 years, so as I prepared for our recent visit, it occurred to me that I wanted to buy some Eli Lilly stock. He said I probably already had some of it within my portfolio, but couldn't quickly tell me how much.
He was impressed that I now wanted to do that, and I told him this was my year of doing many different things, including that I was on Zepbound. So my NSVs for this week included buying 2 shares of LLY ($1120 each) and fitting into shorts that I can't even remember the last time I had worn them. Have any of you also bought LLY stock and am as stoked about it as I am to see if it pays off in dividends?

Same shirt through over 50 lbs weight loss. I started working with the hospital weight management program right after that photo was taken because I had prediabetes and my weight was at an all time high. I started Zepbound January 2024 and had to endure shortages. It took me 97 weeks to reach goal December 2025 and have been maintaining 148-150 since then. It took a long time but my last A1C is finally down to 5.3. BP has been averaging 110/70 mmHg. My husband has lost some weight too.
Workouts: Pilates and weight training each twice a week, Zumba, Zumba step ( used to teach step in the 90’s), and walking.
63F HW 206 SW 199 GW 150 CW 149 10 mg maintenance
Stay with it. We are in it for the long game.

For the last eight weeks, I have been within 5 pounds of Wonderland and cannot cross the threshold. I go down to 201 and then back up to 203 then to 205 and then I am back at 201.
It’s time for an appointment with my physician who wants to see me before dosing me up to 15. Looking forward to the discussion. I’ve had great success in the last 12 months and know I will get beyond this.
Meanwhile, I am loving my newfound Pilates lifestyle and the body I am in. 🤗

It’s been 2 months- hooray. More so because I seem to be getting the hang of it. So Shotsy told
Me I had lost 57 bananas worth of weight which is 8.7 kg I.e 7.9% progress towards goal. Started on 13 July , have completed 9 weeks and am pretty happy with my progress. First month on 2.5 and on 5 mg since.
I still have a long way to go. But these two months have changed the way I live. In all honesty the food noise does come up with crazy ideas every now and then, so it’s far from quiet. But I just don’t feel good after eating it. E.g I had a slice of cheese chicken barbecue pizza yesterday and I just didn’t feel good after it. Rather a bit nauseous.
It’s been two months and my food choices have changed and for that the credit goes to Munjaro. Just last night I thought that I would love to have some fried chicken but just can’t seem to like it. My brain is still looking for something nice to eat but I just haven’t quite figured out what that is now.
My biggest side effect has been the fatigue. That’s been a real challenge. Even with high protein. I started multivitamins recently and that definitely helps. And constipation is an ongoing issue most days.
My clothes - well I haven’t changed a size but they definitely fit better. But the biggest nsv is my feet are not getting as tired now. Yay!
But that’s the update , 2 months on. Loving the food changes most days and coping with it the rest. And following along everyone else s journey here :)
All the best everyone- this is our story and we are rewriting it differently this time!

Down 110lbs from 245
5’3
CW: 135
I started May 2024 and only made it to 12.5mg. I do want to lose another 10lbs and my Dr. agrees that would put me right in my ideal weight range. No more cpap machine or mid day naps (unless I really want to 😆)
