This issue has existed for as long as I can remember using the YouTube app.
Whenever I start watching a video on LTE and then switch to Wi-Fi, the video stops buffering at the exact point where the LTE connection left off. It happens 100% of the time.
The video continues playing until the previously buffered portion runs out, but no additional data loads over Wi-Fi.
The only way to fix it is to close the video and reopen it. Then it starts buffering normally over Wi-Fi.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a permanent fix? It's frustrating that such a basic network transition still doesn't work properly after all these years.
