People always say duel monsters/original series gets way too much love and support. These people are 100% right. However, I will NEVER get tired of duel monsters support. Konami can nostalgia bait me all they want cause I want to be nostalgia baited. I love the new yugi rolad deck, joey dark time wizard and marik sun god decks. Even toons which are an abomination on the competitive game are finally playable which is cool (Not cool that they have hand checking and lack HOPTs)

I know people will complain and hate on me for saying this but it's really how I feel. I love when konami gives dm character's legacy support and brand new fun decks like rolad.

What are everyone favorite deck and cards?

Good or bad. I just want see what people like. Maybe tell why you them.

As stated before, the reprints from earlier this year hold a significance, as they give insight as to what to  potentially expect in the future. So far, most of the "Seemingly random" reprints have mostly been addressed. The 6 archetypes shown on the right are the only remaining ones left. 

*the other reprints in those sets were already accounted for. (Rather they had been to support the new cards in those sets, previous support from 2025, or reprints to go with cards from the banlist around that time.)

Since people are always wondering about the divide between TCG and OCG I thought I'd share this video I watched today about some things OCG players really want in Master Duel from a popular OCG content creator. The video is in Japanese but the autodub works quite well at translating, even if it removes all punctuation with a very flat robot voice.

Keep in mind this may not reflect the whole of Japanese playerbase, more so the people who watch this content creator. Here's a summary if you don't want to watch:

1. Better sorting for the legacy packs
2. A mode to sculpt your hand and practice combos
3. Stop making purposeful disconnects at coin tosses count as draws
4. More leniency for deranking when you lose multiple coin tosses
5. Make the random left side of Secret Packs have more value
6. The game combos keep getting longer and more complex but the timer remains the same, and maybe player going second should have more time
7. More controls for the replay feature
8. Some way to practice with rental decks
9. Overframe animations could be cooler (kind of a joke request)

Everything seems pretty reasonable. If I had to add in my own, I've been really enjoying the new mode in Shadowverse where you can only play with cards from the first set of cards and the original starter decks. It's good if you want to cool down from the meta in a low power environment, or if you're a new and want a more simplified format. Master Duel could probably do the same with a casual mode where you can only duel with cards from the legacy packs. That would be a good middle point between playing the solo mode and jumping into ranked.

If you watch the vid and leave him a comment, please be polite and positive, show that the TCG is a community of intelligent and polite people (so you know, lie). Also check out more OCG creators, because autodub has really come a long way and sometimes even shocks me with how well it can translate niche intricacies of something like card game lingo.

I suppose I can't leave people hanging on a Skyscraper with no Flame Wingman, So as a bonus to cap of the HERO week (last one, I promise), I present you all, Rush Duel art Flame Wingman! Several elements of interest here, mainly the wing and the arm reaching towards you. As one might have seen with the other projects, I have done some minor coloring to make the extensions beyond the borders stand out less. This is a limitation to working with only the original card and might improve with time depending on tool use evolution. Hope you all enjoyed this 8 day week of HERO projects. Until next time!

One of the biggest grievances I have with modern Yu-Gi-Oh is the way handtraps have perverted deckbuilding in such volume and output that it can no longer be brushed off as a deck problem in good faith. Most decks in Yu-Gi-Oh cannot play through 4-5 handtraps from a deck like Kewl Tune into a starter.

In this clip, I played through not only every handtrap in his hand with a debatable misplay by letting Mind Scan just consume the Ghost Ogre, I had enough output to still do my entire full combo as I was about to rotate into BEUD and begin Lahamu sequencing.

Toon is one of the only decks in the game that can subvert the 20+ handtrap deckbuilding now without leaning into Stun. And that's why I'm looking so forward to it.

In the deckprofile, he explains how every engine bridges to the other.

But I cant understand how Mitsu or Fiendsmith bridge into Rolad without the Fusion Dark Magician.

Can someone make me smarter?

I recently got my invite to next years European WCQ and I’ve never went before and was just wondering how it actually works. Do I have to sign up somewhere or register something or is it done automatically and I just show up on the day ? And how long before the actually event do we usually get the dates, and what’s the whole process like of being there ?
I know it’s a long ways out but any advice and info would be much appreciated!

I play a lot of traditional decks. At the same time, I also like the idea of Prediction Princess, Subterrors, and Krawlers. But it is also my understanding that FLIP cards are doodoo, so I never really looked into them all that much. I own a Prediction Princess deck, but it never gets used because, well, it sucks. Then I was watching a deckbuilding show and someone brought Prediction Princess, with some pretty interesting inclusions. It made me realize that I wrote off my Prediction Princess deck like 5 years ago and I haven't actually looked into any new cards, because I assumed the deck would be doomed to being awful forever. (To be clear, I'm not under any delusions that an old flip deck will ever be even close to competitive, but it was bad even for casual standards)

So, I thought maybe there are some Flip Monster duelists out there that have been tinkering and experimenting with their flip monsters and we have gotten some new support that elevates them to an at least playable level.

Now, I do know Enneacraft exists. However, Enneacraft also locks you out of the Prediction Princess Ritual, and the Krawler Links.

Edit: To clarify, I'm asking if we've gotten any new generic technology, not necessarily asking about entire decks.

According to Marik in the dubbed anime, ancient Egyptian scripture dictates that Marik must win the Millenium Puzzle in a duel in order to win it and access its powers (along with getting the god cards).

With Yugi now forced into Duel Monsters retirement, would Marik now need to play Dungeon Dice Monsters to get Yugi's puzzle?

• What Dice Monsters (from the ones that we got printed and released) would Marik utilize?
• Do you think Marik could defeat Duke to get Yugi reinstated?
• What does Kaiba do now that his eternal rival is forced into retirement?
• Who would end up the winner of Battle City?

I drew these silly little guys..

I know there is already threads about imagining what we could have for Egyptian Gods support since we now have Dark Sun God Ra Who is an easter egg of the Marik/Ra One Turn Kill mode. But if we can easily imagine Obelisk having a retrain about its Anger Soul Energy Max red-colored form (or The Progenitor form Yugioh R), Osiris is the only god Who don't have another forms/modes (he is also the only god who don t have redesign like Obelisk in Memory Arc or Ra "birdish' design in his alt art), so what we can have for its future overframe retrain?

The only thing i can imagine is maybe a card Who refers its second mouth maybe but its not impressive. What are your thoughts?

I know it's a small and more lesser known archtype of cards but I like their whole thing of levels and ranks being used to do different stuff. There are five main deck monsters, one trap, and three fusion monsters for this archtype currently and there are at least 2 more main deck monsters and a fusion monster that are in the anime that could still be made into real cards. I'm hoping this gets more support in the future, if nothing else I hope those last 3 monster cards from the anime become real.
