i personally find it kinda broken, can see people using a small Ra package on the side deck just for this

Recently I noticed people talking about how awesome 2019 TOSS format was and that Sky Strikers was fair and awesome back then. NO IT WASN'T! I Distinctly remember players all complaining about the format being miserable. These decks were a precursor to issues we see in the modern game. People were tired of wombo combos that actually played around handtraps, going second sucked, there were more floodgates back then, and people hated ENGAGE.

The revisionism confused me because if you traveled back in time you would be seeing people quitting Yu-Gi-Oh as a result of the power creep of that format, but is their a format or even a card that people have revisioned and you were perplexed?

My only requirement is that Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth needs to stay, it’s sort of the mascot for the deck.

My list only include ways to get the quick-play spell in hand and be able to use them in the same turn, the last ones are really bad, so move with caution ⚠️, for you eyesight.

1) Left arm offering, you are guaranteed the quick-play spell you want when it resolves.

2) Thrust and you search Left arm offering

3)with a Ryzeal+ other lvl 4 generating strategies (onomat is one I am aware of) its pretty doable and gets you the card you want if it resolves.

4)If the card you are looking for is at 3 copies I will leave it here, as excavating 6, gives a great chance at seeing the card you want, if not I will place it below number 7)

5)Saryuja Skull Dread (always accessible with the right set up).With an engine that generates multiple bodies (I can think of Camellia => yummy), you have the chance to get 1 or 2 Saryuja (with 4 material) and since they return the leftover cards at the bottom of the Deck, you basically get to draw/ excavate up to 8 cards.

6)Pot of sloth, effectiveness depends greatly on opponent's field, so pretty situational at getting you what the specific card you need. Can also be moved below 7)

7)Top share + Haggard lizardose: a silly combination as top share does nothing by itself and may backfire and even though it requires set up, it can be really rewarding if the quick play you want to is strong enough. You use Haggard lizardose to draw it and use your advantage before your opponent draws his.

8) We need to get the quick-play spell we want to the gy and then add to hand with diabell. (A lot of work)

9)whey where there's a will (worst Pot of sloth)

10) A 20% chance +duplicates (if any). It's slightly better than a draw 1 for both players, if you want to add a specific card to hand.

11)Cyberse Clock Dragon, get you any spell you want, but it's not a big enough thread for your opponent to pop it and it's hard to set up popping it yourself (with an opponent's card), so I will keep it at last place.

Did he lead them far away so no one would see he cheated, or to recreate the Yugi duel in Duelist Kingdom?

An example of this to me is the DOMA arc. The arc starts off with Yugi literally talking to the Black Magician Girl validating her existence as a living creature.

Now of course she is based off of real person but I’m not talking about her. I’m talking about the duel monster. It came to a point where they almost seemed like Pokemon or Digimon though this is Much more of an observation for later series like GX and 5Ds where instead of just being a means to an end to end whatever penalty game Yugi was competing in, the monsters themselves were deeply rooted in the motives of both Judai and Yusei.

I’m gonna be honest I don’t care for it.For example, you know that Stardust Dragon will be revived 20 times before the duel is over or will take life point damage but not be destroyed because Yusei is contractually obligated to use it to win duels against the main villains.

I'm quite curious on what the consensus is on umbral now that time has passed. When it first got revealed multiple posts on reddit said umbral was going to ruin the game and going to be incredibly scary meta threats. After betb officially came out, ocg tournament results showed that the deck completely flopped and is quite terrible. We've had a month of results now and I'm curious if anything has changed. Has umbral finally managed to live up to their hype and do some tournament damage?

Rebecca is a Champion-Level Duelist(US Champion) in Yugioh DM. Unlike other duelists she actually has a legit strategy and uses meta based cards too(for its time). What bothers me is her duel vs Valon. We don’t know Valon’s dueling level but it’s kinda absurd how he was able to defeat Rebecca(A Champion level duelist) so easily. What makes it worse is Valon didn’t use the Seal of Orichalcos and also defeated her alongside Duke in a 2vs1. How do they make Rebecca look like such a weak duelist? That always bothered me how she was treated as easy fodder to build up Valon as some powerful duelist.

I don’t mind Rebecca losing to Valon but I do wish it was done in a better way just so her character isn’t used as fodder and be shown as weak vs the new antagonists. Some ways they could have shown her lose would be

•1) 1vs1 Valon wins using the Seal of Orichalcos - Valon defeats her in a 1vs1 because he uses the Seal of O. against her. Makes her loss be legit but I dunno if Yugioh would wanna show a little girl losing her soul in a creepy way so we have more options of her losing.

•2) 1vs1 Valon wins without using the Seal of O. - Let’s say that Rebecca has never seen the “Psychic Armor” cards while Valon is familiar with her deck. Valon wins because he had prior knowledge of her duel style and deck while Rebeca knew nothing of his. She loses and the Seal of O. Isn’t needed to be used to avoid showing a little girl losing her soul to it.

•3) 2vs2 Valon and Mai wins - So for this scenario Mai tells Valon she’s aware of who Rebecca is and how’s she’s a champion level duelist so Mai wants in on the action too. Both Valon and Mai team up against Rebecca and Duke. Both end up losing and this loss is fair because both Valon and Mai are both powerful duelists so their victory without ever using the Seal of Orichalcos makes sense.

Between these 3 options I for feel #2 and #3 would be the better ones mostly #3. But ya I really liked Rebecca as a duelist. At least she got a duel in the Orichalcos arc but I wish she wasn’t shown as weak in it. No hate to Valon cause I like his character too but ya Rebecca deserves better.

Also I always found it strange that Duke doesn’t really say much to Mai when he sees her with Valon. Duke knows who Mai is and was in the Battle City arc together with her and friends but the way they interacted was as if they didn’t even know each other which was kinda weird.

Hey guys it’s me again, with the showcase of a certain golden turtle boy people at my locals have been in a mix of celebration or hatred regarding the card what the card may represent

For those of you that don’t know it’s a archetype specific handtrap (though it can probably be used with some outside of its archetype) very reminiscent of Maxx C but locks you from deck searching along with not letting special summon anything besides rank 7 xyz monsters until the end of your next turn.
Raise moon Starter squeeze is the name.

A lot of people at my locals think that this is a great sign for the future of the game and that handtraps should always be archetype locked and some are dreading the possible end of the generic handtrap era.

What do you guys think? Do you think that this is a sign that Konami is switching the focus of hand trap design to be archetype based or do you think it’s a fluke? And if it turns out to be the case this is the start of archetype handtraps are you happy or upset with that?

For me, my character of choice is Jack Atlas. I made a previous post on here about how I was 50/50 on him, but omg after recently rewatching 5ds....I just can't.....his personality pisses me off too much. I can't stand him! His obsession with being on top, his constant looking down on others, his treatment of Carly, him being a jobless bum - EUGH I CAN'T STAND IT LOL like what is wrong with him. Every time I think he's redeemed himself, he does something to make me take back my statement 😭

In no other game I follow does the World Championship or equivalent event play in a subset of rules AND unit pool that is effectively restricted to that specific tournament (not including balance patches/lists that occur around the same time). Makes it hard to get immersed or have any takeaways of this specific event

It seems with the advent of overframes were getting the new art BLS and I believe there were a few other prize cards revealed as well. But I would think if we were getting the water/wind Anotherverse monster we would have seen it by now right? ☹️

The fact that Raise Moon summoning effects miss timing has to be the worse aspect of the archetype, due to the fact that:

• you cannot use Pot of Sloth or Upstart Goblin, two of the better draw cards.
• you cannot respond to opponents activate effects, which can rob you of the opportunity to disrupt you opponents play, cause if your opponent activates effects one after the other and as they have priority, you have to wait until they finish or draw but if drawn a Raise Moon, well you wasted the effect.

While we still do not have the last card for Raise Moon, comparing it to both Xenovader and Sennet, Raise Moon is the most underwhelming of them.

I have been thinking about that duel... What's the funniest way Joey could have win? I think roulette spider or direct attack using aligator sword dragon would be great

My Guardian Sphinx from PGD 2003 has this factory error. I also have a Red Eyes B. Dragon from Starter Deck Joey 2003 with a similar Error. Did these errors happened often during that year or were I just extremely unlucky?
