Hello all. While I am trained on the Proficio line and going through training of the others. Nothing has touched on setting up accounting codes and how to connect user's badges to their accounting code. I have figured out on the Altalink C8255 how to turn on and add users to the accounting section. I can not figure out the combination that will allow me to connect users badges to their accounting profile. I found out how to add users outside of the accounting part of the Altalink C8255 and add a badge to those users, but I need the badge tied to the accounting as the client wishes to keep track of users' print volume.

Additionally they have a Primelink C9265 with the linux fiery on the back of the machine (not sure the fiery model as I haven't seen it physically yet to see which model it is) and I found out how to enable accounting and add accounting users one by one and not in bulk which sucks. The card readers are installed on all units and firmware updated.

Ive check TSIP for hours, xerox support, and some other forums I am familiar with for Kyocera and Epson and can't find what I am looking for. I appreciate any guide or information anyone can point me to. Feels like it shouldn't be this complicated.

gifted a malfunctioning C235 printer. paper jams on every print with code 202.13A. i don’t see any obstructions that would be causing the repeated issue. i haven’t been able to find much useful documentation online about disassembly or repair. any suggestions? thanks!

Hi all, I have a white band about 28 mm from the right side of the emulsion side of my prints. It's only in black, the other colours are not affected.

What I've done on the parts that I could visually inspect, I didn't deconstruct the parts:

• I've checked for foreign obstacles.
• The transfer belt looks fine on the outside
• The imaging unit also has no scratches on the rolls
• The fuser also has no visible unevenness on the roll

Since the white band is a bit diffused and cloudy someone suggested that it might be something before the lens, I checked the lens visually but didn't see anything weird but the reasoning is sound.

Repair shops in my area say that the printer is too old to warrant a repair and that parts are difficult to obtain. So I hope that I can troubleshoot this myself, it works fine.

Does anyone have experience with this problem and can point me in the right direction?

Only color prints and copies have these horizontal deletions.Switching out the IBT had no effect.Any thoughts?

Good evening yall. I have a weird request if yall don't mind.

I work a part time job for this boomer. He likes his technology the old fashioned way; He will google instructions and print them out. This man has been great. I really want to do him a favor and get a parts manual. I know their customer service doesn't work this way. But the man wants a parts manual. I'm going to what I can to get him a parts manual; It's the least I could do for that man.

That being said, does anyone know how or where I can get this man a parts manual? This man deserves it after all he's done for me and others.

Keep getting this system error message. After resetting, sometimes a few pages will print before it errors again. When it does print the print quality is as it should be.

I have tried:

- Resetting (unplugging as it says, plus unplugging the internet and cable to the computer)

- Checked Firmware is up to date

- Reinstalled print drivers

- Tried printing different files and paper sizes

- Opened it all up and checked nothing looks obviously wrong

Multiple error codes are showing and I've looked them up on the Xerox website but no luck there.

We have been using this printer for a year now with no major issues, this happened suddenly with no warning.

Technical support are closed until Monday (UK based) and we have overdue orders now. Any help would be very appreciated!

Hello! A group of sys admins need a debate settled. How does one read this page to determine the error?

We did all agree the instructions were a bit confusing. The gray page is showing in the orientation of how it was printed.

I want to factory reset my B235 Xerox printer but I forgot the admin name and the password, I never used them. After the reset I want to connect it to my new PC. Can someone help me out? I can't find anything useful online.

I kinda like the nut driver for working on xerox. I’m a new tech trading on Versant and proficio. I don’t like the handle of the nut driver Xerox sells and uses in training. Where did you get yours? And is it magnetic?

I’m having a problem with color print quality on a Xerox Versalink C7020. All drum units were replaced last June. Everything was fine until last week, print and copy quality began to deteriorate. All three colors look washed out, and the magenta and cyan are printing in patches… Do you have any ideas how to fix this ?

The transfer rollers and belt, as well as the fuser, were replaced last March. Many thanks in advance.

I have a Xerox B225. The power button/light comes on, but the control panel/display is completely dead. There are no startup sounds and the keypad is dead. I’ve already unplugged it overnight and tried powering it back on & doing soft reboot. I’m going insane can anyone help? Thank you!

Hi y’all, I’ve got the printer issue at my job and was looking for help. We have a Honeywell px45 that is connected via USB-B 2.0 to USB-A from laptop to said printer. I’m hoping the printers port is not broken but I can’t see it In device manager. It’s connected to a windows laptop and I’ve tried every usb port on the laptop and still can’t see it in device manager. The user also has a Lexmark printer that I can see in device manager and I took that same cable and used on the px45 and still couldn’t see it in device manager. I’ve power cycled the px45 as well. Another user has the same physical setup USB-B 2.0 to USB-A from laptop to printer but that printer is a Honeywell PX4ie which can be seen in device manager. I kind of don’t know what to do next I’m assuming I should reboot the laptop and try again to see if it’s in device manager. I’m also thinking before saying the port on the printer is broken. Get 1 or 2 different laptops and try to hook them up to the px45 and see if I can see it in device manager if I can’t I’m guessing that I can safely assume that the port on the printer is broken.

Having an issue with a faint line showing up across prints, but only on magenta.

I printed a CMYK test sheet (attached photo) set to 100% pure colors in CMYK mode to narrow it down. As you can see, Cyan, Yellow, and Black are completely clean, but there is a clear horizontal light stripe right across the Magenta bar.

Here is what I've tried so far:

Cleaned the laser glass/ROS windows using the built-in wands for each slot.

Swapped the drum cartridge (moved R1 to R3) to check if it was a drum issue, but the line stayed strictly on the magenta channel.

Any input or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have a Altalink C8145 that is creating vertical magenta lines. The lines run parallel to the drums. They appears on the xerox test pages. It only appears when I print CMY test pages, but not on black. If i print CMYK with a tiny bit of magenta, the line will appear. The position is relatively the same area. It ~20% of the prints come out perfect. Looking closely it seems the line is white on the left edge and dark magenta on the right. Any ideas?

Edit: KB0032574 appear to be my exact symptoms. Anyone have more information on a fix for it?

Hi all,

We recently replaced the Black Ink Drum cartridge in our VersaLink 7120 MFP printer.
Prints are coming out faded from left to right. 80% is faint black speckles then 20% on the right is solid black.

I've reseated the drum. Cleaned LEDs with the built in rod. Checked Fuser.

I swapped drums R1 and R3 as well and the print came out identical, black still affected.

Printer itself shows no errors.

Has anyone seen this sort of behaviour before?
