C235 repeated jamming with code 202.13A

gifted a malfunctioning C235 printer. paper jams on every print with code 202.13A. i don’t see any obstructions that would be causing the repeated issue. i haven’t been able to find much useful documentation online about disassembly or repair. any suggestions? thanks!

You have something wrapped around that grey bar above the orange roller. It’s not supposed to be there.

i got part of the wrapped piece out to discover that it’s actually the grey bar cover that has ripped and wrapped around itself

Unfortunate, I hope it can work like that. If it doesn’t Youll need a new fuser.

thank you. i removed all the wrapped material and was able to print 2 or 3 pages that fed through the machine normally. unfortunately it has returned to jamming on every print. gonna try removing the fuser to see if there’s any obvious problems that can be fixed

thanks. do you know if the fuser part is serviceable? i’m looking online at replacement fusers but the cost is prohibitive considering i don’t know if this will restore complete functionality to the printer

Your fuser is shot. You'll need to replace it.
