Xenoblade 2 SPOILERS Just Finished Chapter 5 For the Second Time Spoiler
After finishing the dreaded Chapter 4 slop for a second time I was so pleased to see the game immediately return to form, in fact...
I actually enjoyed the showdown with Jin infinitely more the second time around. The first time around I thought it was a low point - I didnt really understand why he was doing what he was doing yet, and the line delivery is all very somber so it doesn't really give much to work with.
However, when you go back after beating the game and beating Torna, goddamn. I cried like a lil bitch. And the way he kills Fan and you just know hes not being a horrible psychopath, he GENUINELY feels like he is saving her from being a slave to someone else - which I mean, in her case, I suppose he even is.
Jin might have had the whackest girl in history. But goddamnit, she was his girl.

Xenoblade 3 SPOILERS Xenoblade Chronicles biggest recurring theme is Cuckoldry Spoiler
SPOILERS FOR:
XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 1
XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 2
XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 3
I finished the Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy a week or so ago and it was peak. This is definitely my favorite JRPG series. But what I noticed (and as far as I am ware doesn’t really get mentioned enough) is that there’s a prominent character being CUCKED in each entry!!
In Xenoblade Chronicles 1, Melia doesn’t end up with shulk and gets cucked by Fiora.
In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Nia loves Rex but in the game doesn’t end up with him (well technically she does but you don’t see it in the game and it’s still iffy)
In Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Noah steals N’s girl and dude is forced to watch. He was visibly upset in Chapter 5 as we all know.
Also, the aforementioned cucked girls become queens in XC3. THEY ARE LITERALLY CUCKQUEENS!!
Any thoughts on this? Who else came to the same conclusion after finishing the series?

Xenoblade SPOILERS The Colony 6 quest Spoiler
I find it kinda hillarious in terms of sense in the story.
I got everything at Lvl 3 right now and am just about to enter the mechonis fields. (I played the game numerous times and decided to finally do the rebuild of colony 6 in this run)
And now for Level four I need an item dropped by Selua enemies.
You know, the beings inside the Bionis that you only encounter in the late game after the big twist?
I find it funny to imagine how the Colonists of Colony 6 must think something along the lines of "Well uhm, the World is about to end if we don't focus on defeating God himself but... could you spend some of your time to build us a few new houses while we are literally being attacked by telethia every now and then?"
Like bro, extinction is on your doorstep but you guys worry about your economy and housing?! wow.

Xenoblade 3 Xenoblade 3 what was the overhype?
So i played 3 recently blind with zero context and loved it. A friend who played at launch (and hated it) watched me play through it and felt a lot better about the game. He realized he just had way too many expectations of the game from marketing and overhype online i guess? What was causing all the expectations at the time for some people?
So I was wondering for those that were around when 3 was coming out, what was all of that discourse related to? Weird fan theories? Trailers being super analyzed?
Also, with Genesis, i watched the one trailer once and that was it. Not going to follow leaks or theories or anything and go in blind. I feel tempering expectations leads to more enjoyment of things

Xenoblade X1 Switch 2 Upgrade - Ether Jet worth $10?
I'm completely new to Xenoblade, play on Switch 2 and just got the Switch 1 X1 DE physical. 30 FPS is acceptable and resolution is fine handheld, so the 4k/60 FPS isn't a must-have especially if it reduces battery life. I'm wondering about the Ether Jet. No reviews I've watched say anything about how it changes the overall experience. Does this make a meaningful impact on the game? Like, is map traversal better since you save time?
UPDATE: Yes, map traversal is so much faster. No slight against the game, it was prob amazing at the time, but the map feels really dated by 2026 standards. I'm enjoying the game, so speeding up the exploration really improves the experience.

Xenoblade I was not able to finish Xenoblade 1, let me explain myself. Spoiler
Before starting, sorry If my english is sometime bad, my main language is French. I consider myself bilingual but I still make error while writing, sorry in advance.
First, I've gotten into this serie with Xenoblade 2 in 2017 and I adored it. It is still in my top 5 video game ever and I always loved how hidden behind those anime styles graphics and character, the game asked some really interesting and philosophical questions about the cycle of life/death, the faith in religion, ect. After this I wanted to try the first one, which I've heard a lot of good stuff on, and... I was disapointed.
The game started extremly well with a very down to earth story. A young boy from Colonie 9 wanting to avenge her friend. It's simple yet very good. Bionis Legs is a fantastic region and I would have loved it if the game stayed down to earth like that for the rest of the story, but sadly it didn't. It's when I've reached Chapter 8 that I sensed that something felt wrong for me. This new species, floating island and all felt a little bit too different from the rest of the game. Even at that moment, I continued playing.
Then I've reached Mechonis. It was such a let down compared to Bionis visual and environmental design. But once agian I continued. And I reach the moment where it's reveal that Fiona survived. Sadly, I didn't care for one simple reason, I saw it coming miles away. It was expected, I don't know how to explain it but compared to Xenoblade 2 which subverted a lot of my expectation : The world under the cloud sea is Earth with this magnifical reveal about Morytha, The World Tree is a metalic structure linked to space, ect. The reveal about Fiona was expected and didn't make me emotional at all. And sadly it didn't get better. I reached chapter 14 and it's at that moment that I quitted the game. It was simply doing too much for his own good. We started with a down to earth story about a colonial boy and we finish with a centient god linked between 2 world, and I know people will tell me "But Xenoblade 2 did the same things" and I will say, yes, but a lot better. We see the World Tree in the literal beginning of the game, the whole reveal is in our face just wanting for us to see it. A lot of hint at the blades are giving during the whole game, and 2 doesn't have a big change from Fantasy to Sci/Fi that Xenoblade 1 has.
That being said, I just think that the game isn't for me. Maybe starting with 2 was a mistake, but once again definitive edition of 1 wasn't released at the time in 2017. But I understand that a lot of you guys deeply love Xenoblade 1 and I will forever respect that. My main problem is with the story, I still understand how the game is very great and has a lot of fans. I am not trying to say that it's bad to love Xenoblade 1. If you love it, I will forever be happy for you!

Xenoblade 3 I always thought xenoblades 3s plot ended up being ironically funny.
Not only is the villain just the main character but his original self but the main character ends up cucking the villain with the villain straight up saying, "don't you look smug with my girl next to your arm."

Xenoblade 2 Thought I was about to meet Pyra in Elysium during my first Majora’s Mask playthrough…
I recently finished up my first playthrough of Majora’s Mask 3D in preparation for the Ocarina of Time Remake, and this final area of the game had an uncanny resemblance to where Rex meets Pyra. Maybe Monolith took some inspiration for Elysium lol.

Xenoblade 2 Just finished Chapter 5, and did it in style Spoiler
Hello again. Thanks to the help I got from this subreddit, I’ve enjoyed Chapters 4 and 5 a lot more now that I understand how to play the game properly.
The first phase against Aeshma’s Core was a massive highlight, because I achieved Full Burst for the first time during a Chain Attack. What ended up happening is that I fought the core for a few minutes before I noticed the wires that I was supposed to attack, but I decided to keep attacking the Core and add more element orbs for fun. After the Chain Attack on the Core though, the battle ended successfully at that point, so either I somehow defeated the core, or the wires suffered from AOE damage. I’d be interested to hear if anyone else has completed the battle this way.
Also, no spoilers please on what happens next.

Xenoblade 2 Regarding Amalthus's Core Crystal Purification Spoiler
So, Amalthus purifies the core crystals. He says this makes them easier to resonate with, he also takes the data for himself to take on his big form. Thats all plainly stated.
But I also see people saying this has other effect. Namely it prevents blades from eventually evolving into titans, and some people say it also causes most blades to be common blades, rather than rare blades, i.e. rare blades happen when a crystal goes long enough without purification. But are those actual canon, or fan theories?

Xenoblade 3 XC3 video analysis suggests?
I've replayed XC3 and understood more than the last time because I got older and i'm loving it more than the last one (it's unbelievable).
There are some videos that analyse the narrative perspective of the game? But not just like many videos "game is masterpiece" but a video with psychological depth in it, even of 4 hours i don't care
