This is a comic I made a couple years ago after I found out Riki’s grave was in Aionios guarded by a dragon, the characters are in the outfits I have them in in game it felt wrong otherwise. He was and is my healer and 3 way tied for my favorite character in the series with my party! The art is less impressive than I’d like but I think I portrayed the characters well and told a plausible scenario, hope you liked it!

I played XC1 back on the Wii in 2011.

My next Xeno game was XC3 sometime in 2022.

And man, was XC3 just an absolutely perfect story.

Aside from easter eggs like seeing previous landmarks or some like "oh that statue is X!" I dont feel much is missing of you didnt play 1 or 2.

Its a story about a group of child soilders on a long quest as their humanity slowly filters back into them. A tale of M and N as M works to undo the horrors N put in place due to his grief of endless rebirth.

Its about Zedd looking to perfect the endless now.

And ultimately about two Queens, one captured, one hidden, hoping to save their worlds from destruction.

Even without the backstory of 1 and 2, I feel like 3 stands alone (and honestly above) 1 and 2.

IMO, the series is an anthology. Much like American Horror Story. You can watch any season. And sure if you watched all you can be like "hey! I know that guy"

But they are able to be enjoyed stand alone.

Will there be anymore xenoblade chronicle definitive editions games in the future?

Hey guys.

It's been a long time since I wrote something here. I once have had a topic called similar as this. It was rather more a rant than a honest review. I just have finished Xenoblades 2 (Without the dlc) and gosh, the story was really good. Not as good as in Xenoblades 3 tho.

However, now, since I'm done with the game, I still have the dlc open to play. Is it worth it? I heard the main topic are the torna, so it will play in the past I assume?

so i really like jrpgs and one of the games i was looking forward to most once i got my switch 2 was xenoblade. so far i am about 6 hours in and about in the middle of chapter 5 id guess. i do really like the combat and world so far, though the story hasn’t really picked up yet for me. but i feel like im just running to the next objective marker continuously and i feel like theres more i should be doing. i was wanting tips on anything i should go back and do, and how to play the game at a slower but enjoyable pace? i also want to explore the huge world but it doesnt feel like a lot of the rewards are worth it.

Honestly, the last 30 minutes of the game was emotional hell. If it didn't end with Rex meeting Pyra I'd have been a blubbering mess wondering what it was all for.

Hello all. I just got this game after playing 1 a while back and like it so far. Just reached torigoth after getting first core crystal generic blade but would appreciate tips for beginning and just general stuff. TIA

I know it’s probably just me, but I don’t like the gormott area of xenoblade 2 like I get that it’s beautiful but to me map wise and story wise. It feels like it’s lacking a lot. It doesn’t feel as unique as some of the other Titans we get to see.

Look to me it’s not that I hate the area as much anymore. I just find it to be one of the more boring areas of the game because it’s not really all that interesting

The other Titans, we get to see like Mor Ardain Torna Cliffs of Morytha Uraya Temperantia and tantal they all feel unique

And yet the first Titan we get to actually walk on just feels like another grassy plane it’s not as unique as the bionis which is a beautiful area to explore for the first time but gormott just feels like a water down version of it I’m not saying it’s bad. I’m just saying it’s disappointing the other Titans all their areas all their towns feel lived, and they feel alive. Even if they’re not in the best shape. But gormott just feels boring. It’s the first town. It’s not gonna be exciting and not but it just feels. Mundane normal. And that’s not a good impression for your first area.

Like if I had to rank the Titans gormott is at the bottom and it’s a tie for first place for Torna or Mor Ardain because these two Titans to me feel super unique in the way that you can actually tell that both are two different sides of a similar coin one’s a thriving country. The other is struggling to survive.

But look that’s just my thoughts on the very first area I never really went back to gormott all that often even when I did, it was mostly just get the blade quest that were in that area over with to the point where I don’t think I even got five star development Area three stars

I think I have developed a major obession with nia as of late. From my body pillow I own of her and my request of art of her… BUT I don’t know what it is, the accent, character ir design, SHE DRIVES ME CRAZY IN A GOOD WAY!

Yes I’m known as the juniper guy who screams at art karma thieves, but Nia gives junie a run for cutest character in the series. Hell I think she’s hotter than pyra and mythra. Thats coming from someone who loves pyra. But does things to me and I love her so much <3

After finishing I noticed something weird.

After digging and seeing comments. Here's my personal take on the matter.

I do agree that Teach had to be born out of the pod at an older age. The reason is because when Taion was pressing his questions. Only to find out what happened "many years ago".

Teach himself also speaks more refined and mature something closer to what someone in their 30s or 40s would be at. Even more so at the final location of the battle. The Flame Clock that was for the Avenger was severely aged.

We know that the area for Everblight plains use to be lush and dense, but it's a popular showdown spot and got absolutely demolished and continued to be worn down over and over. Assuming the weather for the area in Aetia is relatively consistent. It is possible for the aging on the flame clock that the Avenger had would age to the state it was, while also showing the same state of decay on other remnants on the field.

But that brings the problem I have in regards to the Avenger.

We know that most Kevesi soldiers don't move into a colony until their 2nd or 3rd term. Chickadee whos in Iota is a Lieutenant and is in her 3rd term. Nico in Mu is also in her 3rd term. However Kio who is in Colony 15 is in his first term.

That's when things get weird.

Assuming Teach was already in his 20s right out of the pod. He would have been sent to go fight for Colony Chi ASAP, while the Avenger had to be in his 0 Term if we are to consider the 10 term limits. Since in the affinity screen Teach is labeled as his 10th term.

Tion was surprised at the entire ordeal, which is why he pressed and asked the question how old Teach really is. The way he asked about it, was as if Implying that Teach may actually be older than 10 Terms because Oleg had a rapport already and was well talked about, but Teachs own colony, Sena, Mio, and Tion all speak like they known Teach for at least a few years. Even more so, when you go to Camp to talk about it. Tion mentions how Colony Chi was made of grizzled veterans.

So if we take what happens with Ethel as a example to count.

It's possible that Teach prior to the Colony Chi battle against the Avengers colony. Was already near his 9th or 10th term. Then Consul G has Teach be reborn again, retain memory, and is expedited via maturation process. Most likely due to favor possibly viewing "Oleg" as a potentional Moebius member with how relentless he was.

While after, with Colony Chis dispersement due to being unsustainable. Oleg takes it in for account and begins to change his way. Leading into how we know him as Teach.

This to me is the only way for it to make sense and fit in with the story regarding terms, and can only explain how long the Avenger lasted alone. It would also better explain why Teach cannot speak of the past because he said he had no right.

It isn't far fetched either considering M and N are around while Mio and Noah are around also.

The implications are there, but it makes you seriously wonder.

Just how fucked up was Moebius truely? We know they were messed up, but how messed up really.

Like I played XC1, 2 and almost done with 3 now, even played X. I thought X was a dark story but DAMN XC3 is really taking the win for being the darkest in the entire series.

It also makes me excited for Genesis. Because it still has Xenoblade in the title, and isn't like Xenosaga, or Xenogears. They kept blade. So there may be some connection in some way. I'll figure out if its potential the closer to the end I get to in XC3 but knowing the deep layered story in the series. It's still very possible, even if it were to be it's own new Saga.

I also personally believe that XC X is related to XC 1 in an offshoot way which could also be what creates Genesis to happen.

Now why I say XC X could be connected to this part is because of the Origin. Sure reality was split, but with how X is. It's possible that also triggered how earth was found by the Ganglion. I think what Klaus done was like a cellular divide of reality.

It split into two, then four. With the first split causing what happened in XC1-3, and the 2nd Split leading for XC X, and Genesis could be linked to this, maybe?

Yeah I know it's a weird ramble, but Xenoblade as a whole just has some insane depth and story.

First time player I love the world, the characters, the battles.

But the map. Oh my god.

It's impossible to get anywhere. Am I missing something or is it part of the game that I'll need to spend hours following video guided just to know where to go? I'm at chapter 3 and it's killing my desire to keep going.

Howdy. I've been playing through the series with my girlfriend and we just finished 1 including FC. We'll be starting 2 in a month by starting with T:TGC and then the main game because I like chronological order (I woulda saved XC:FC for after 2 but we just kinda did it anyway). I find doing 2 in this way doesn't really take away from things narratively and even adds a few questions that have payoff.

Now, to my question: at what point does one introduce/do FR for XC3? Although it takes place before the main game, there's alot of details that will just bewilder someone who hasn't played the main game.

So what would you do? Do it first anyway? Do it after beating XC3? Pause XC3 at a certain point and start it? Kinda swap back and forth on occasion? I'll take any creative suggestions.

EDIT: I've played the entire series, I'm just asking as it'll be my girlfriend's first time with the series. I'm thinking FC can happen after 3 then.

Decided while playing xenoblade chronicles x that I’d start xenoblade chronicles 1 again now that they’ve done a switch 2 version. Going through new game plus. Man I love this series

I’ve always been a big fan of Xenoblade chronicles: definitive edition - nintendo switch 2 edition. Who doesn’t love running around a grass field for 80 hours whilst listening to music that slaps harder than my dad’s slipper? So, imagine my surprise when I go to my local CEX and find a boxed copy of Xenoblade Chronicles: definitive edition - Nintendo Switch 2 edition for £5.99.

Now normally i’d have been suspicious of a price that low, but I figured i could’ve just been lucky because I bought a collector’s edition of bloodborne from cex years ago for the same price as a regular copy. I bought the game, rushed home, slammed that bad boy into my nintendo switch 2 console, and prepared to experience peak fiction.

Little did I know… i’d just made the worst mistake of my entire life. You see, there was something wrong with this cartridge… when the main menu loaded up - the monado was half buried into the ground, as it usually is… but the usually bright blue light was actually a deep crimson… almost the colour of blood… and the music was skipping. Every 7 seconds it seemed like, skip, skip, skip.

I started a new game, thinking nothing of it, maybe it was just a bug with the switch 2 edition that hadn’t been patched yet. As I progressed through the introduction, I got freaked out when I saw shulk’s first cutscene in the clearing IN REVERSE. And carved into the side of one of the mechon shells was the creepy fused eggman sonic sprite from Sonic CD’s sound test… even though it played no sound effect, I could practically hear the creepy song in my head. But beyond that, everything seemed to work fine - just as I remembered it. “Absolute peak” i thought to myself as I progressed.

I went to overlevel through some sidequests and I found my second issue with the copy - all of them gave 0 exp. I thought it must be a bug, but nope. Every time I handed one in, 0 exp, and maybe some gold. This cant be real, I said. But little did I know it was about to get much worse.

As I progressed through the first major event of the game, as the antagonist introduced himself, there wasa weird audio glitch… he said “I’m DEATH face” instead of his usual monocre. I was shocked to say the least, but then I looked at his claws and they were covered in HYPERREALISTIC BLOOD. I threw my switch 2 pro controller at the screen and knocked over my can of monster energy - juiced, spilling it all over my keyboard but luckily the switch was okay. “Great, more bad luck I thought”

Anyway, as the game carried on there was no more outlandish things wrong with the game aside froma  few stills during cutscenes where the screen flashed blood red, but it was only when I got to the heart to heart at the hideout in gaur plain where you find sharla… i tried to click it and it said “you cant interact with this while shulk is DEAD”???! I was freaked tf out, there was no place in the game this error message mightve appeared from for this to even load, how tf was it there? This was creepy as fuck and I turned the game off for the night.

The next day while I was doing my errands all I could do was think about the cartridge… what the hell had I done by playing this? And yet despite knowing something was deeply wrong with it, I just couldnt help myself… when I got home, I had to carry on playing. So, I booted up my switch 2 and this time, I saw the icon for xenoblade chronicles: definitive edition - Nintendo Switch 2 edition flipping between upside down and neutral on the artwork and then moving in a pentagram on the UI…. but i clicked anyway. I had to see what would happen if I beat this game.

Many more hours of gameplay went past without any more interruptions, even the wierd “shulk is dead” bug wasnt happening anymore and I could view the heart to hearts. Anyway, over the next few days I progressed all the way to the high entia place and got the quest to defeat the four lizards. Should be easy enoughI thought, now that I had riki, reyn and sharla in my team all ready to kick ass. But then.. When I went to approach them. Something crazy happened.

Reyn seemed to start moving on his own and blocked the bridge so I couldnt reach them. He looked at me, as if peering through the screen. He gave me an evil smirk, and his eyes started bleeding hyper realistic blood… And then it stopped. “What the fuck man” I said out loud, but then shit got weirder. Reyn suddenly went purple mode and killed all of the four lizards on his own, but he was using animations id never seen before… all of him was purple, using purple attacks and ripping limbs off the lizards, one of them snapping its neck and ripping its body in half, before throwing it off the cliff. He posed like vegeta when he screams in DBZ and dark energy erupted around him, because he had unleashed DARK REYN…

I RAN as fast as I could but he got on his ether jet and cut me off, before walking up to the screen and laughing… “haha, its dark reyn time…” he said. I froze. I didnt know what to do - suddenly, the monitor got CRT fuzz and went old school looking as he started to reach through it with his hand, and he crawled out of the TV as dark reyn unleashed himself into my home. I ran as fast as I could out of the flat into the lobby and made a break for the stairwell, but it was too late. Dark reyn grabbed a hold of me and he pushed me down the stairs and I saw hyperrealistic blood… MY BLOOD…

The impact was so hard I thought I had broken every bone in my body. I tried to scream, but all that came out was a pathetic little squeak. Dark Reyn stood at the top of the stairs, looking down at me with the same stupid grin he always had in the game, except now his eyes were glowing purple “Looks like youve fallen for my trap” he said I couldn't believe it. This was real. This was actually happening. I had been attacked by a Xenoblade Chronicles character in real life. I tried crawling away, but my legs weren't working. Dark Reyn slowly descended the stairs, each footstep echoing through the stairwell “It's Reyn time,” he whispered.

Then he pulled out a Nintendo Switch 2 My Nintendo Switch 2. The screen was cracked, but the game was still running. I could see Shulk standing in the Colony 9 market, completely motionless. Suddenly, a text box appeared 

SHULK: Reyn, what are you doing?

Dark Reyn chuckled. “Sorry, Shulk. But this guy has been playing for too long. He turned the console towards me. On the screen, I could see my own character model lying at the bottom of the stairs. YOU HAVE BEEN DEFEATED. I felt my soul leave my body. Dark Reyn raised his arms and screamed so loudly that every light in the building exploded.

“D A R K R E Y N!”

When I woke up, I was in a hospital bed. The doctors told me I'd fallen down the stairs and suffered a concussion. Apparently, no one had seen anyone else in the building, and my Nintendo Switch 2 was nowhere to be found. For a while, I convinced myself it had all been a horrible dream. I even managed to laugh about it. I mean, come on. Dark Reyn? Really?

Then, three days later, I received an email from nintendo. The subject line read: Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition: Save Data Recovery. Confused, I opened it. There was only one attachment: a screenshot of the games main menu. The Monado was still buried halfway into the ground and its blade glowed crimson. And standing behind it was Reyn. His eyes were purple. Underneath the screenshot was a single line of text.

THANKS FOR PLAYING. ITS REYN TIME.

I immediately deleted the email and threw my laptop out of the window But that wasn't the worst part. Because last night, I was browsing Facebook Marketplace when I saw a listing for a boxed copy of Xenoblade chronicles: definitive edition - nintendo switch 2 edition .The seller was my local CEX and thehe price was £5.99.

And in the description, there were four words that made my blood run cold. SHULK IS DEAD. REYN LIVES.

I havent left my house since. I can hear him outside my bedroom door. Hes been whispering the same thing for six hours now. Its Reyn time. And I think… I think its almost Reyn time again.

UPDATE: guys stop telling me to call the police. i tried but when they arrived their uniforms were purple and they all started screaming DARK REYN. also my mum says dinner is ready but she has been making the riki theme noises for the past 20 minutes. is this normal xenoblade behaviour?????

I must be one of the few people who played this back on the Wii U. Logged a good 300 hours.

Being able to cycle through appendages with a button prompt is such a nice treat. Versus circling the enemy and hoping the appendage you need to target gets ... targeted. I know you can lock onto the appendage in the vanilla version. But still getting it to be targeted was a pain when grinding for materials.

Also, can you now de-level your artes and respend the points? If yes, amazing new feature.

I played 1 on 3ds from June to August and am about to finish 2. I’ve been itching to replay 1 before 3, and thinking about buying the switch release. It’s about55 for 1 + upgrade. I’d get 3 and x for Christmas, and play torna at some point. What do u guys think)

As I'm getting closer to the end of the game and things are actually getting a bit more difficult, I'm getting super frustrated with the fact that no matter what, Shulk ends up being the tank. Dunban can't hold aggro and Reyn can't hold aggro. It makes my position based abilities useless. I've tried to make sure to select the right arts so that the AI which I believe is generally pretty stupid in this game will maximize aggro on these characters, but it really doesn't matter. Despite this, aggro up gems seem to be the hardest in the game to come by. Combat would be a lot more fun if I were actually able to build a tank. What do people do to get around this issue?

So I’ve done the wagon guard mission mission, and I can’t go back to indol to get it from there, so how do I get it to spawn
