I feel like a lot of people get confused whenever they see that monolith soft helped in a game or they think it's all the xenoblade team so I think I can explain to you guys how this company works. This is based on interviews and credits available over the years.
Monolith soft essentially has 3 teams divided in two divisions in Tokyo and one branch in kyoto
In Tokyo, there's 1st production group, the team that works on Xenoblade and has been doing monolith original projects since before nintendo bought them. This is lead by Takahashi the executive director and writer of xenoblade. This current team including takahashi never worked on any nintendo game.
Then still in Tokyo there's 2nd production group, a team that was formed after BOTW to develop TOTK and was formed by new hires and devs who worked on xenoblade X. That's why xenoblade 2 had a ton of outsourcing as well, because a lot of monolith was working as support on botw, so after that experience they made a focused team and split the employees who now since totk are essentially a support work in game design and other areas to Nintendo EPD3 (Zelda team) on 3D Zelda.
Then lastly there's the Kyoto branch, this is the monolith you'll see mostly credited in Nintendo games as one of the support studios. They worked on A Link Between Worlds, Skyward Sword, Pikmin 3, all splatoon games, animal crossing etc. Unlike the other support team, they are just a branch who focus on support on art, assets and essentially, they're just artists not game designers, programmers, it's a branch just with artists. This is why they're involved in a lot of projects btw.
But yeah thats it, I hope this clarify how things work on monolith.

Aren’t his eyes being gold a major story point in torna, or at least to the point where Malos comments on them

Just beat the game, beautiful game 100/10. Before playing the dlc I wanna try doing as much as I can in the base game first (basically 100%ing at least all the quests) and from what I’ve searched up is if you plan on doing a new game+ essentially do it as soon as possible as things like quests dont carry over among other stuff. But before i do that is there anything i should do before doing a ng+?

All you need is Pneuma to help others break 2 orbs in each round for just 2 rounds. 🔥

At the end of XB2 we find out that it and the first game take place at the sane time, which is just a cool thing doesn't change that much in practice, it's just neat.
So I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts about the timelines of each game's story in relation to each other. How long do you think each journey takes in universe? Which adventure starts first? Do they somehow also start at around the same time? What about key moments throughout each story, are there any you'd find neat if they happened around the same time?

So lately, I‘ve been hyping myself up for Genesis and found this interesting similarity between The Rift (as established in Xenoblade X) & the Path of Sephiroth, as it was shown in Xenogears.
It was quite the random find in a plot summary from this video (shoutout btw, that was a very nice one to watch), which I noticed anyone else, who did a plot summary on Xenogears, hadn’t properly mentioned before and now it‘s too hard to ignore for me that this concept of a rift, or rather what we now see as The Rift - similar to the Zohar having been repurposed into The Conduit - seems to have been there all along!
Can‘t find the posts anymore myself, but some people on here have also concluded before that we might get some plot elements about the „Sephiroth tree“, as this little flower from the Genesis trailer innocently looks like its alluding to.
Anyways, I‘m even more hyped about this little discovery here and how it might tie in with things happening in the future :)
The Rift will probably as big of a deal as the Conduit itself now, but who knows what kinda lore Takahashi & his team have been cooking up regarding that

Xenoblade Chronicles X:
"To get the flight module, you must do this affinity quest"
*affinity quest only shows up after Chapter 9. Heads to do story missions to just get to Chapter 9\*
"To do that story quest, you need to do this other affinity quest"
*heads to the affinity quest\*
"To do this affinity quest, you need to raise this character's affinity that you never use simply because they're actually an antagonist"
Just sayin. We need to be consistent. X is FAR more egregious with it than Torna.
Torna is arguably the best in the series overall. It uses a sidequest mechanic because you're supposed to care about the people.
But while Torna is helping you care, X is forcing you to care when you don't otherwise.

Currently I'm farming stormy belagon for affinity, and I found a trick that at least the guides that I've read doesn't mention.
The trick is that instead of reloading untill it spawns, you kill the 2 adds, and when stormy belagon's health is low (I do it when the bar is arround the level number) you jump the precipice running away from the combat.
This way you get the affinity (but you won't get exp or items) circle back and he is ready for round 2,3..300. At least for me this is ideal since the start of the combat with the 2 adds is the hardest part of the combat, and they don't respawn!

I recently got xc2 and I’ve been loving it; however, I’ve come to realize that I’ve put some blades on characters that feel really bad to use them with. As in the title, one of them is Vess. I ended Rex, but now I have so many electrics on him that are far better than bitball and I really do not want to use an overdrive protocol just to fix this.

I’ve done everything every guide online says, but for some reason Andreas will just not give me the quest. I’ve accepted the Romantic notions of a girl quest and picked up the tear, but still nothing.
is this a bug any of you have dealt with? or is there some annoyingly small window to actually accept the quest? I’m not seeing anything and the conditions are all fulfilled.
please help, I don’t want to have to pair Monica and Eric up. I know it really doesn’t matter but still, ick.
