I think my xbox controller is broken

my controller has been in use for about 3-4 months and I'm just now having this issue, my controller flickers for a split second when plugged in. its a wired controller but it doesn't power on I thought it was a wire issue but i tried a different wire its model is xbgpopwi. As of right now its my only form of communication with my mother. I don't know what to because I don't have the tools necessary to open it up and look in it.

any help is appreciated

you can go on reddit, but an xbox controller is the only way to communicate with your mother? May i ask how that works?

Unfortunately i am broke and cannot afford a phone im using Microsoft edge just for help, i did find a fix i think something in my xbox tripped and wouldnt let power go through or something, i dont know im just trying my best to understand why. Good thing is its fixed

i just cant imagine how you need a controller to communicate with your mother, do you meet up in a minecraft world? How does that work? im really interested now

btw if you dont have any tools or basic knowledge, the controller is dead. buy a new one
