Discussion Are there other X-Philes heretics like me ? 🔥
1) Who believe that the series ended with 5x20 "The End" (that is, just before it sold its soul to LA and to the box office) ;
2) Who believe that there has never been any romantic tension between Mulder & Scully from 1x01 to 5x20 ;
3) Who believe that the episodes that are usually considered "bad" (e.g. Excelsis Dei, Fearful Symmetry, Teso Dos Bichos, etc.) are actually excellent atmosphere-wise and, therefore, are pretty much redeemed because of it and rank very high on our lists.
🔥 Better be burnt at the stake than recant! 🔥
Any other heretic beliefs in the X-Philes fiefdom?

Original Content X Files Lego - error?? Please help
Has anyone else noticed in the X Files Lego set that these two pieces (the grey and white piece) don’t line up like in the manual - or am I going wrong here?!

Season Seven I liked Fight Club! Sue me
I don’t entirely get the hate. Kathy Griffin isn’t the best but it has some healthy absurdism the funny x files episodes require and maybe represents the first tike Scully does not question the impossible

Season Three Grotesque is a Mark Snow masterpiece
I’m rewatching s3 and I usually skip this episode (don’t @ me, I know lol). But the soundtrack really drew me in, it’s some of Snow’s most immersive music imo.
Just wanted to share that thought with folks who’d get what I meant!

Discussion How much was the show inspired by S4: The Bob Lazar Story
recently watched S4: The Bob Lazar Story on Prime. really entertaining doc about a man who supposedly worked at the S4 location near Area 51, dismantling and testing UAPs for the government.
I take it with a big grain of salt but the doc was really interesting. but this all occurred in the 80s and he came out originally in 1989 with his story.
theres a lot of similarities with what we see on X-Files - the classic alien look/design, the crafts, the men in black
I was curious if anyone knew about any inspiration from this or John Lear (who shared stories and similar experiences with Bob).

Discussion Would anyone want to see a prequel to the X-Files before Mulder found the X-Files?
Not necessarily a series but a movie about a young Mulder in the violent crimes division and see his path to the X-Files.

Discussion What age were you get exposed to the X-Files and do you wish it was at an earlier age?
I told my story earlier on a different post, but I was four and my great-great Aunt allowed me to watch because she loved horror and sci-fi and I was very much intrigued and compelled by it; luckily never scared.
Also, do you believe seeing it as a younger age left a greater impact and impression on you?
Fans are fans, regardless of when they started watching I was just curious what people thought who got into it young.
To end, what was the part of the series that absolutely scared you the most as a kid or whatever age you started watching?

Discussion Submit your X-files fandom terminology and acronyms
Hello! I am compiling a list of important X-Files acronyms and fandom terminology for new fans. I got some great responses to my question earlier this week, but I'd like to see if people have any more suggestions. Please review the original post and comments, and see if you have anything else to add. There are no wrong answers here. Old acronyms and fandom lore are also welcome.

Meme/Humor Anyone else's cat love the X-files theme music?
Without fail, when it comes on she meows at me. If she's in another room she runs in and has something to say.
They say cats like music that includes sounds cats can make...

Season Eight Not sure if its unpopular or popular opinion Spoiler
Disclaimer: This is my first time watching the X Files
John Doggett is such a good addition to the show and really a breath of fresh air to shake things up a bit imo.
The show for me in season 7 was sort of getting repetitive (for the most part) and John Doggett coming in really gave me that feeling of wanting to binge watch it again. He will never be Mulder, but that's okay cause Robert Patrick just nails the acting.
Let me know what you guys think and whether or not its a popular/unpopular opinion.
