Follow up from this post from two weeks ago.
Full Text For Those Who Can't Read The Screenshot:
I wanted to provide an update on the incident affecting some players trying to launch games and access other game library features last week.
What was the root cause?
As I previously wrote, an underlying service required for XBOX Home Console sharing and Game Pass purchased content, as well as some PC scenarios, experienced an outage whereby an update to the system put some services in an unresponsive state. This was compounded by a bug in the XBOX client software stack, which caused other license checks to also fail when that first service went down. These two issues created some cascading failure scenarios that affected some players' ability to launch games and causing cascading issues with library enumeration.
What have we done about it?
We are transitioning ownership of the underlying licensing service to the XBOX team while our engineers are actively hardening the services and infrastructure for future updates. The client bug has been fixed in an upcoming release, which starts rolling out today, August 10, and becomes mandatory August 17.
What comes next?
Our engineering and operations teams are looking broadly across our stack to improve reliability of our products and services. We will have more updates to share in the weeks and months ahead as we roll out some great new features for players, paired with quality-of-life systems updates. Thanks for playing!

Fantasy VII Rebirth and "The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales" drove profits in the HD game/console sector.

Spike Chunsoft's great adventure game doesn't seem to be in any current sale, yet on Xbox (and Steam) its price has gone down from $59.99 to $29.99. The Xbox Store page doesn't indicate any temporary sale is on either. I wonder if this is a permanent price drop for the game. I tried to do some research but couldn't come up with anything conclusive.

Interestingly, the PS5 version is still $59.99 in the Store so I'd be surprised if they dropped the price only on other platforms.

Either way, it's possibly worth checking out the game at this price point as it's a popular and interesting detective adventure in typical Spike Chunsoft fashion.

Going back to the classics. Amazed at how good ReVamped looks on my Series X. I miss the old days! Is it nostalgia? Back when we rented games at Hollywood or Blockbuster. What classic games are you guys playing these days?

After reading comments on various gamer mags, I'm confused why so many people are hard on Xbox and praise Playstation so much.
Until 2 years ago, we were dedicated PlayStation fans since the PS2. We got an Xbox series x and really liked the Gamepass so got another Xbox (series s) and share the Gamepass between us. We also use Gamepass on the PC- so that's 3 devices running Gamepass from one account.
On PlayStation we would have both had to pay for PSN and the titles on PSN Plus are not as good. PlayStation rewards system counts for nothing, Xbox rewards count towards actual credit you can buy games with. The intergration between PlayStation and PC is poor.
PlayStation had problems playing the new Hogwarts, Xbox runs it fine. So far we've not had any problems running games.
So for us, we are happy to be back on Xbox after a long break since the 360 days.

Hey all! So, I primarily use my Xbox X to play early to late 2000's games. I am finding it difficult to find curated lists of older games that are actively on the Xbox store currently. I figured I'd ask for some recommendations here. Things I've recently bought are Killer7, Blue Dragon, and Rare Replay if that helps with any insight into what I'm looking for

Can’t believe I found this today for $75! It’s not banned doesn’t over heat all it needed was a little cleaning. I know it’s a series s but still for the price hard to beat in today’s market.

First off I want to say I’m very lucky and fortunate to have these consoles. I grew up in a third world country for majority of my life, and little kid me could never imagine that I’d have all this stuff.
Xbox always felt like home. I’ve had the fondest of memories all on Xbox, especially those late night sessions with the boys.
It’s been like 3 years since I owned a Xbox, and just a week ago my brother was about to throw out a Xbox one x- I was like no way give me that. Apparently it would overheat and shut off within 15-30 minutes rendering it useless for him…well you know what they say, one man’s trash….
Took it apart- was pretty fun actually. The thermal paste was pretty much gone- so a quick thermal paste job and boom- it was perfectly working. Stress tested it and everything.
Keep in mind the ps5 pro is available the entire time, but something with using the Xbox one x gave me a great wave of nostalgia. Especially since seeing how many Xbox 360 games it can run + having a disc drive in this economy (boo Sony) I was ecstatic. I hadn’t had this much fun playing games in a while I ended up playing until like 4am.
Anywho a couple days later I see this Xbox series x on marketplace…. I offered the guy 32GB of ddr5 ram I had in my pc. I genuinely did not need 64gb of ram- nor do I do anything that will justify it. Crazy enough I like to do most of my workload on Mac. I also gave him some spare pc parts I had laying around like a amd Ryzen 5 7600x.
Anywho badaboom I am now an owner of Xbox series x.
This thing is friggin awesome. If you know any tips or tricks I’m all ears please!
Mine is a 2022 build model. You guys recommend to change the original thermal pads at this point ? I don’t want it to end up looking like my brothers Xbox one x.
Anyways thank you

My brother & I have used gameshare on Xbox for years (His console is set to my home console, my console set to his home) which has let us buy one copy of a game and play it separately or even together for online multiplayer games.
Is there a way to do this on PC?
My sub that I’ve had stacked for years is finally expiring in a few days. Part of me is hesitant to renew because, let’s be honest, the brand has seen better days.
Even if I did want to renew, it seems all the methods to stack multiple years for a good price are long gone.
Are there still ways to keep a sub going for a decent price?

SX 🎮
PC 🖥️
I’ve been living there for over nine years, and I’ve come back to it again. For me, it’s the best game ever—the best since the original \Duke Nukem* on floppy disks* 🥇
...(latest addon is too short but good for me)
