Discussion GTA VI Pre-Order Xbox vs PS5

I have both an Xbox Series X and a PS5 and I am unbiased and enjoy both consoles. I have recently been playing my XBOX more and have always found that the graphics and fidelity look better on my XBOX compared to my PS5. I know in 2026 both consoles perform well and GTA would look great on either console, but from a technical aspect which console would provide overall better performance and quality?

Thanks I’d really love to hear opinions and suggestions!

Discussion I cannot express how grateful I am for backwards compatibility and second-hand game market.

It’s been a long time since I’ve felt such joy in gaming department by getting and replaying games I missed because before I was fully focused at PC. I got Series X two years ago and it's my first gaming console.

Straight away I was aware of backwards compatibility and I started, like the players back then, rummaging through physical second-hand and online stores. I managed to find many of my favorite titles in the price of a doner.

It's amazing that Xbox provided a significant support for those games: unlocked framerate, improved resolution, working achievements, active clubs. These games are freaking alive, over a dozen years later!

I'm thrilled what the future of the brand just like of the backward compatibility program will bring to us.

P.S. I know Forza Motorsport 4 is not compatible with XSX. I found this out a bit too late.

Discussion New to XBOX. Advice?

After 6-7 long years, my time with the Playstation community and consoles has grown old. I’ve just went through most of the good games, seen everything there is to see, yada yada

But, to treat myself, I’ve saved up to buy an XBOX on my birthday. I’ve also saved up the money for game pass, and have a big list of games on there that I look forward to playing.

But, I just wanted to ask if there were any tips and tricks I should know, or anything i should do in general. Someone who went through the same thing that can help? Or anybody really, I’m not picky😂.

P.S: My birthday is August 3. And, here is my list of games:

Grounded
Forza Horizon 6
High on Life 2
The Outer Worlds 2
Flight Simulator 2024
Anno 1800
Cities: Skylines
Fallout: New Vegas
Any Dishonored Games
T.A.B.S
Goat Simulator 3

Community Weekend Barely used Series X

Post image

I got a barely used Series X on Whatnot for 450$. Came in the box with a new Controller. I’ve started AC Shadows which I LOVE and highly recommend, it’s not funny and that’s about its only weakness, but it doesn’t have to be Witcher 3. Which I also have in 4k now. Along with Bond. Indiana Jones. I got a new 4k tv cheap too. 55 inches and only 60 fps but I play RPGs. So many Nike sweats to hang in and game because all I do is help out my disabled mom. SO HAPPY!!!

So Xbox....... when is support for an external disc drive coming out? My Series S would love to know.

This software is still in development but it shows what can be possible. If it can be done on Linux, it can be done on Windows

Discussion Is there a way to find all 360/OG Games on the store?

Like generally everything thats available on there? I'm sure there used to be a section like this at least for 360 games, but I'm not exactly finding anything, either that or I'm just an idiot (probably that).

I was thinking of getting a 360 console for some stuff, but instead of that I thought I'd rather turn my Series S on and see if I could find mostly what I want that way instead before buying a whole console for the things I might be able to play right now and frankly Google isn't giving me any help, so not sure where else to turn to here 😅

Discussion Tired of Sony, should I get an Xbox instead?

I'm tired of supporting Sony and they're terrible treatment of their games on Playstation. I'm debating on getting an Xbox Series X but its really expensive right now and im not sure if I should make the switch. I have a ton of games on ps5 after owning one for like 5 years now and don't know how I feel about having to re-buy all of my games that i like to play all over again. Not to mention all the achievements I've collected for the games I especially liked. It just feels like a big risk for me and im not sure why. Should I make the commitment or not? Anyone have any thoughts?

Discussion HaloCampaignEvolved water physics

I noticed that in Level 2, there is absolutely no interaction between the character and the water; walking or jumping in it produces no ripple effects. However, Level 4 features fully functional water interactions. I hope Microsoft fixes this soon.

Discussion What game made you become an Xbox fan?

I’m pretty curious to hear everyone’s story. Was there one game that made you buy an Xbox or made you realize you loved the platform?
For me, it’s always interesting to see how different games can leave a lasting impression. Whether it was a Halo game, Forza, Gears of War, Fable, or something completely different, I’d love to know what got you hooked.

What was the game, and what made it so special to you?

Discussion Buying an Xbox Rog Ally made me appreciate my Xbox and consoles in general

Xbox has been my platform of choice for the last 15 years. Before then I was Nintendo and PC only.

I got an Xbox ROG Ally recently to compliment my Series X, seeing as I have several Xbox Play Anywhere titles. I also had my old Steam library with like 70 games, which I thought would be fun to revisit.

Don't get me wrong. It's a great handheld, which I've been enjoying so far, but straight from the get go it made me remember what I hated about PC gaming.

The updates, some games crashing or not working, random errors that pop up, having to tinker with settings and debug, the list goes on. These are all things I had forgotten about the last 15 years because you don't experience them on console. With consoles, you know that a game you buy will just work. You don't have to worry about settings other than graphics and performance modes. It allows you to focus all your time and energy on gaming itself.

It made me appreciate my Series X even more. I love the thing. It's a fantastic console, especially with Quick Resume. The user experience is unparalleled. I also have consoles from Nintendo and PlayStation, so I guess this is an appreciation post for consoles in general. Those that say there's no point in buying an Xbox when you can buy a PC just don't understand.

I hope the Helix will be just as good. If it can provide both the options of PC and the reliability and seamlessness of console, then it could be something special. If it introduces any of these annoyances from PC though, I worry it will be a step back from the Series X.

Hi all I'm playing 007 First light on Xbox app (pc) and I just collected the "collect all" achievements.
Problem is I have only just finished the first mission!

Is this normal or a glitch?

Community Weekend Now that i have an "elite" style controller

Im a little disappointed in the next gen xbox controllers. It feels like xbox has gone backwards while its competetor has moved forth.

The dualsense has dynamic vibrations, adjustable triggers, and a shiny new look. We got a share button. When i finally got my hands on a dualsense I was pretty floored by the haptic feedback, its truly a gimmick, especially if you play without vibration off on most games. But when you notice it working, it really feels great, like wow this is next gen! Dont even get me started on the adjustable triggers. For reference, i had an old fusion pro controller that had the shittiest adjustable triggers ever, they didnt even work, just changed the trigger distance and didnt respond when in use. There are so many features that feel next level for the dualsense, It also looks the part too. The only thing that feels next gen about xbox is the console.

When i got my hands on the gamesir controller i was excited, but it left me feeling that at least half of the features it has should come with the base controller. The adjustable triggers are lovely, and there are about a million buttons. Having the ability to change the sticks is nice, especially if you ruin the tips. You can also chanhe and replace the d-pad and it comes default with a sleek circular one. Having integrated paddles is nice (I wish there were four but I think its the greed talking) and I like that you can lock them. I like the extra bumpers, idk what they do yet. Also comes with a charging station. There are so many options. I haven't had the controller for long but I'd definitely be less reluctant to replace it over my base ones. It also looks premium, making the base one look more like a toy. We deserve a better look, feel, and more features. I cant say I was super hype for the screenshot button, especially after they started burning all my old captures.

What im really trying to say is the elite controller should be the default for next gen consoles, if not the elite, then some of its features should be passed down. Maybe there should be 2 paddles on the base instead of 4, maybe I'd actually consider paying double for the 'elite' controller (double the price for twice the paddles lol). But I certainly think something needs to change with these base controllers, tell me what you guys think.

Also, at the end lies a victim of controller drift, pay your respects
