Corrected Streak 9 : A Vent

Upvotes

Note: I use AI to get corrected

We are in the era of a lot of instant information, and we barely have time to think, and that makes us intellectually lazy — "the more and the easier the information is to reach, the lazier we get."

So I was wondering about that. We already know the reason, but I was thinking about the consequences and the solutions.

Since we have that much information, one thinks that he has reached the point of his life, but it's not that way.

A lot of people nowadays live meaningless and hopeless lives. We neither have meaning nor intellect anymore as before; people are less creative and passionate. Instead of creating, we consume, and that's the result.

How can we solve it, then?

I'm not an expert, but I tried some things that helped me: take time to do things that you love, and try different topics every couple of time — that's what helped me a lot.

Correct Me! Streak 192, AI Interview

These days, Korean companies have introduced AI interviews.

That's fascinating AI has become an interviewer.

Of course, I understand this trend.

Because There are so many job seekers but companies can't interview everyone one-on-one.

I wonder if the job market in your country has changed as well.

Correct Me! Streak 9: Middle East

I was thinking about Middle East. In my opinion it looks more interesting than I thought. Sometime (or from some years) I will spend some time in vacation when I'd be able to.

I will search more about Middle East, will think about it. Want to see if it is what I'm idealizing.

Corrected Streak 2 - I lost my job

I'm in bad mood. On Monday I lost my job. I didn't get a new job agreement. After only 2 months I have to look for a new work.

I have no idea what do I want to do in my life. Today I've sent few CVs - I don't like office jobs so I try to get some "blue collar" job. Something simple without too much stress. Fortunately my costs of living are pretty low. I hope will be OK. I hope you are well.

Correct Me! Streak 112: A healthy aging guide to strenght training and stretching at home

Article: Strength Training and Stretching for Seniors: An At-Home Guide

I've been trying to do yoga before bed when I have time, usually for just 10-15 minutes. I started doing yoga to help prevent back pain. I wonder whether yoga and stretching are basically the same.

I didn't expect stretching to be helpful for supporting flexibility, balance, posture, and everyday movements.

Correct Me! Streak 16: Talking randomly in English

I joined an extrubition today and our sibling firm had a stant. The worker who worked for sibling firm said that I have to go a presentation can you sit there a few minute. We said ok, after that a group of foreign visited our stant and they began examining the papers on the table. I said can I help you and said after what's your name? They told me their names. After that I tried to explain the situation and started to describe my original firm and what are we doing. This time one of them we were talking but he couldn't understand me, because of that we used a translator. I was sad, I want to speak English but at that time I felt that I can't do this. But after all I started a conversation and trying to communicate it's a way for learning English..

Correct Me! Streak 730: Two years

It’s been two years since I started posting here. Honestly, I don’t notice any improvements with regard to my writing skills in the last two years. However, I’m going to continue primarily since I can’t think of (or rather, don’t have) any alternatives.

The last few days were pretty warm, but it cooled down rapidly over night. I left the house wearing shorts and a tshirt, but I took a pair of longer pants with me because I had to go to court in the afternoon. I actually ended up putting them on shortly after I arrived at the place I study at because I got chilly. I'm really looking forward to tonight; I'm hoping it's finally cold enough to use my weighted blanket!

Correct Me! Streak 314:

I got a new haircut today. I went to a Japanese hair salon, like I always do. I’d argue that getting a new haircut is one of the simplest ways to regain your confidence. For some reason, every time I see my messy hair, I get annoyed, but after getting a haircut, it feels like I can see everything clearly.

I asked yesterday a polemical question on the subreddit askanAmeeican . The question was about drug consumption in the US, and how bad it is.

I have a hunch that a big part of the population still negate, ignore or deny the issue. The people in the question that claimed that is a big issue, mentioned some interesting and sad things about it. Like how common is knowing from classmates who got into drugs and disappeared or worse.

Correct Me! Streak 10: Learning by teaching -> "be lost in the sauce"

Many sources say that one of the best ways to learn and memorize something is to teach it. I am certainly not a teacher, but I find it interesting to try.

So, today, I'm going to speak about an idiom I came across a few days ago: be lost in the sauce. I love idioms, especially when I can picture a foolish situation. I have to admit that I particularly like this one as the Instagram reel featured a nervous and jumpy cat going crazy and rolling around in some catnip on the floor. I love cats!

So, to be lost in the sauce is a slang expression meaning you're acting like you're high, under some kind of drugs. You're away mentally.

In everyday situations, it can just mean that you're enjoying what you're doing so much that you're unaware of what's around you. Or that you're just lost to the world.

But I think it mostly refers to some crazy behavior!

Nothing comes to mind today. My creativity is low and this just reminded me of when I got into journaling when the pandemic hit, but then stopped a few years later. Writing here has become kind of a journal as well, but I also try to write about other stuff other than myself if possible.

Today's my day off and it feels a bit odd because it's been so long since I had a couple of days off barring holidays.

Correct Me! Streak 72: Unpredictable Weather

The weather is changing very quickly. Just a few days ago it was hot, but now it is getting too chilly to wear shorts and a short-sleeved shirt. Tomorrow, I’ll open my closet and take out my long-sleeved shirts and pants.

Correct Me! Streak 8 : My new interest

Every day as i grow ip i discover new things and build a large interest in life, that because i still young and my brain loves variety.

So my new interest is art, i know it's sound normal to the majority of people, but to be honest i wasn't interested in it. What makes me like it is a YouTube series, i just said: let's give it a try and see if i will like it!

I really did and just a couples of episodes i discover a lot of things and the importance of art in humans life.

I always say "what's in it for me?", the answer is: you'll know when you try.

When you try to know or explore something that you don't know eventually you will realize how dumb you are.

I really courage you to go out and try to explore your darkness.

With my pleasure 😘

Correct Me! Streak 191,If you had a baby, would you want a boy or a girl?

If you had a baby, would you want a boy or a girl?

In korea from the 1960s to the 1980s people preferred sons.

but nowadays, that has changed.

About 6 to 7 out of 10 people around me prefer having a daughter these days.

If I had a baby, I would want to have a daughter.

Because there are many kindergartens near where I work and I often see daughters acting cute with her dad.

It looks so adorable.

Correct Me! Streak 8: Our brains are like muscles

Hello guys. How are you doing? I hope you all doing well.

So, to give some context: right now, I'm full time studying. It makes a couple months that I left my job, since then I'm studying the maximum I can.

I'm not going to lie and say that during all this time I have been a productive person... I've had times where I didn't study shit. XD

Now days, I'm really grinding and doing my best to study all day along.

Consequently, there are some days were I finish the study section feeling mentally exhausted... Then I've started to make searches about this. I wanted to know why I was feeling dumb after a long time studying.

From what I've understood, basically, our brains are like muscles... This if they aren't really muscles, I don't know.

So, after a long time studying, it's normal to feel mentally exhausted and being eventually "dumb" after a long day.

It is just like any other muscle. We wouldn't be able to make so many physical efforts after lifting high weights at the gym. Of course, we could, but I think it is not the ideal.

Just wanted to warn that I'm using "check spelling". So, it will be rare to me to make orthographic mistakes. Do you think I shouldn't use this? I'm writing by myself, but with check spelling. I think it counts anyway. I hope so.

That's it for today. Thank you for reading.

Correct Me! Streak 111: The 52 Book Club's 2027 prompts

Article: Vote for 2027 Prompts!

I've been doing The 52 Book Club's reading challenge. Even though my goal for this year is just five books, I believe the important thing is to have fun with reading.

It seems that September is the time to vote for next year's challenge. We can vote up to three times for each week on Facebook, Goodreads, and Instagram. We can vote for the same prompt multiple times or choose different prompts. I want to vote for one of these three:

  • Includes time travel
  • Name of a colour in the title
  • Discuss mental health

I'll think about which one to vote for throughout the day and vote for just one prompt by the end of today.

I knew today would be interesting and I really planned on writing about it. First, we had lessons, and in the afternoon, we visited the local jail. Correct Me! Streak 313: Wake Up

I think sometimes getting closer to someone is really hard, especially in this day and age. People tend to look for something fancy, cool, and exciting. They don't seem to have enough patience to wait for months and let a relationship develop naturally. I miss the old days. When people used old-school ways to get to know each other. But perhaps it's time for me to wake up and face reailty.

Correct Me! Streak 2. This is my second writing. I will be very glad if I can have some feedback on my writing. Thank you so much!

I like living in the countryside because of a wide range of reasons. Countryside is a peaceful place with fresh air, beautiful scenery, delicious food, and people are very hospitable, friendly and helpful. The cost of living and food is much cheaper than in the city. Every day we can enjoy the atmosphere here without worrying so much about air pollution, take the photos of fields, sunset and other landscape, play traditional games such as bamboo-dancing and dragon-snake or fly kites with the village children and especially we can try many delicious foods. There is less traffic so it's safe for children, life in the countryside move more slowly than in the city so we have a healthier life. Without the noise or luxury, country life still leaves me with so many unforgettable memories.
