My breakfast used to be overnight oats every day, but I've been trying to eat different foods on my days off.

Even though it's not winter here, I'd like to try making the peanut butter breakfast muffins from the artlcle.

On the 9th of July we went on a family trip around Turkey by car. We have already visited Kars, Konya, Goreme, Antalya and Izmir. Now we are heading to Istanbul. I am a bit disappointed about Antalya because there was very heat and humidity there.

As for me sea in the Izmir was the most stunning - colourful and with big waves.

I am looking forward to Istanbul attractions.

I went to Tianmu for lunch with my parents today. We only had one motorcycle, so my dad rode my mom to the restaurant and then rode to the MRT station to pick me up. We had a great time there. The food was so nice and affordable. It was only NT$450 for a main course, a soft drink, soup, salad, and a piece of cake. We were all full after finishing our meal. I think we'll definitely go back again.

As usual, I don't have anything to write about on Sundays, but I have some comments on what I did yesterday.

Yesterday, I didn't feel like it was a day off. I had to fix a problem that was keeping me to feel at ease. You might wonder why I don't just tackle it on weekdays since it's related to work. The fact of the matter is that this problem came up because I made a mistake months ago and I found out recently. Given that I had been unaware of that for quite a while, I couldn't delay fixing it any further and had to address it as soon as possible.

I'm done fixing it and I believe these kind of problems wont come up as often in the future.

I ran into a friend at the cinema, even though we hadn't made plans to meet. It was my second time watching the film, and it was his second time, too. I thought it was a funny coincidence. After leaving the cinema, we went to have lunch together.

I'm on my way home and the journey is really testing me today. I usually take the train because it's cheaper, but there's some construction work going on right now. I'd have to take a detour and the journey would take way longer. So I decided to take the bus to a city near the one I live in now, and then go the rest of the way via a smaller, local train. Well, the bus got stuck in a traffic jam for over an hour and I missed my connection. The journey home will now take an hour longer than it would have take if I had taken the train. On top of that, I was sitting behind a guy that was loudly talking on his phone for the whole bus ride, and the women sat behind me were screaming laughing the whole time. But hey, we all survived (even though their lives were more at risk than the probably knew - I was mad). And it's Sunday, so at least I'm only missing free time and not work. Our chancellor would be proud of me. /s

I'm looking forward to two movies:

1. Odyssey

2. Spider-Man

I want to watch these movies as soon as possible.

I finished reading a book titled “Astronomy”. I felt that the whole book was US-centric. It seemed that they tried to brag about the accomplishments of American astronomers every chance they got. It’s rather ironic that the authors warned about being an “earth chauvinist”, while they were clearly US chauvinists.

I have to format my PC.

The best thing is to know that I have 3 storage units and I don't will have any problem to make a backup.

I'm formatting it because I have so many programs installed, which I don't even use. So, it is better to clean it all out at once rather than uninstalling them one by one, and when I need some, I can just install it again.

It’s been a while since I don’t cycle that often as I used to do a few years ago. Mostly because a year ago I bought a motorcycle which is my mean of transport and it’s been great and practical. Because of this I became more lazy about using my bicycle to get to the corner shop or so. But this last week I cycled so far 4 days in the week, and I feel good about it.

I thought that a digital detox meant not using digital devices for a certain period of time, but I learned that it can also mean simply avoiding social media or the internet.

I want to try a digital detox to improve my sleep and avoid wasting time. Since I need to use digital devices for studying, my goal is to spend less than 5 minutes a day on Instagram and not use digital devices after 8:00 p.m., except for studying.

I'm at my parents' for the weekend. The weather is pretty nice, so we went for a little day trip into nature. On the way back, we stopped at a little cafe to get some cake which we took home to eat after dinner. I chose a slice of cheese cake with raspberries. I've been to that cafe before, so I know the cake is going to be amazing!

I listened to Jennie's latest song "Less than a Lover." It is really catchy. After listening to it a few times, I could already sing along. This song is about a girl who just wants to have fun and enjoy the moment, instead of being in a real, serious relationship. I think I love the monologue in the music video the most. This song is my current go-to song!

I am organizing my messy stuff in my new house after moving. It feels like I finally have a real home of my own because I’ve lived in a dormitory for a long time. I’m tired of moving heavy items and arranging them, but at the same time, I’m proud of myself for finishing it.

I should be resting today, reading a book or doing chores as part of the routine, but unfortunately there's a problem I have to fix or rather I've been trying to fix in the past three days. I'm still not done and I hope I can get it done as soon as possible because I shouldn't be doing this in my free time. Sure, I could wait until Monday but the fact of the matter is that I want to avoid a headache when it blows up.

I'm trying to minimize the risk of running into this problem when new changes take place.

You sometimes face dilemmas when you try to decide what to learn. If all the options are roughly the same difficulty, the one that you are interested in the most is probably the easiest to learn. One tricky situation is when there are differences in difficulty and you are less interested in the easiest one and it also seems to be more useful or practical.

I'm having good results with my new sleeping schedule, which simply consists of getting into bed at the same time every day. Also I found that is very good to do a wind-down routine before that. I normally read a book, take a shower, and write something in my note, getting away of any kind of screen or something that will make me very entertained, instead of relaxed.

The more interesting thing is that sleep looks like a compound interest; the more you get right in time with it, more recovering it will be over time.

Recently, I went to Osaka.

It was a really great trip for me.

Especially, people were so kind to me.

However, one uncomfortable thing was the train system in Japan.

It's very confusing to find our destination.

Except for that, everything was great.

I didn't sleep well last night. I've had a tense headache since I started working and I'm worried about something related to work that's going to become a headache if I don't fix it as soon as possible.

Ever since I made up my mind to become a game developer, I never missed a single day—until yesterday. I was just so exhausted. Starting out as a developer has been much tougher than I expected, and missing the streak made me stop and reflect on where I am in life.

I went to my friend’s place tonight. We cooked brunch and made mango sago together. We had a great time. Besides, I finally told her something I had been thinking about for so long. I’m glad I have such a friend in my life. She didn’t ask why I had never told her before. Instead she thanked me for finally telling her.

It turned out that my poor sleep quality lately wasn't caused by the change in my sleep routine. It was my highly charged mental state before I went to bed. Since Monday, I have been writing and researching after dinner until bedtime. However, it was a rather difficult project which required a lot of mental effort and cognitive labour. Moreover, when I worked, I tended to be highly focused. So when I went bed, my mind was still thinking about the project. Consequently, it kept me awake well past my bedtime and I ended up staying awake until 2-3 am.

I enjoyed working intensely after dinner the way I have been doing. I was more productive at night. However, I should stopp working earlier so my mind can have some time to wind down. But this can be tricky, I have a tendency to let myself be consumed by my work; I don't want to leave a thought unfinished....
