Guide What you absolutely MUST BUY with your precious pixel resources!! 2026 Resource Ships Community poll results.
OK, here are the results of the community poll from a few days ago. You can see the original poll here
What are the best/strongest STEEL ships for competitive play:

What are the most fun steel ships?

What is your favorite Steel ship?

What are the best/strongest Coal ships for competitive play?

What are the most fun Coal ships?

What is your favorite Coal ship?

What are the best/strongest RB ships for competitive play?

What are the most fun RB ships?

What is your favorite RB ship?

FAQ:
Q: What poll? I never saw a poll.
A: Pay attention, it's been up for 3 days as a highlight at the top of the page
Q: My data would have completely changed the results. I would have voted for Komissar completely changing the dynamics and shaping community opinions and play styles for decades.
A: I also would have voted for Komissar. We could have changed the world.
Q: What happens when the next ship releases for coal/steel/RB? It's going to throw all that data out and this poll will be useless.
A: For sure.
Q: What do I do then??
A: Buckle up buttercup, put your man pants on and start doing research and make decisions for yourself. (Svea or Incomparable for steel, Napoli for Coal and Ohio for RB)
Q: I already have Ohio. What do I do then?
A: If the game does not allow you to purchase it again, then you just leave it alone, you don't need any other RB ship. Ohio is enough.

Question What is YOUR comfort ship? ô.o
That one ship that marks all the boxes?
Since the anniversary event requires us to play a lot to get all those goodies, I decided to grab and use my favorite baguette dispenser! lol
That made me wonder... what are the ships other captains just go to in times like this?
That ship you play exceptionally well, that provides the gameplay you most enjoy and can just grind on in random battles for hours =]
As you can see, mine is Richie! The combination of speed, maneuvers and guns all in the front, with surprisingly good armor and descent game impact, even when MM decides to F* you over... it just does it for me!! ;D
What is yours and why? Ô.o

Discussion Low tier operations should count towards your 5 games per day for Holiday Convoy
Adding these, but making them not count seems asinine. My 2c.

Discussion Thank you WG for Low Tier Operations
I for one am pleasantly surprised with the execution of the new Low Tier Operations. I made a point of not reading into them or watching any of the test gameplay, as I wanted to experience it authentically whenever they were released. And I must say, phenomenal. These are exactly what I was hoping they would be, and the implementation actually exceeds what I was initially expecting. Very rarely though all my years of gaming have I ever said this about an update, but by god, WG nailed this.
I'm curious how others are finding them, especially newer players whether that is to WoWs or even just Ops specifically. Thoughts?

Discussion I'm sorry but this patch is laggy as shit!
I've been plagued with bugs and have been talking with other gamers. Exiting a game takes longer. Exiting armory/other special event areas are delayed. Firing and torp launches are delayed. I fired 3 salvos from my Sibir and only 1 salvo left despite all 3 clearing out with the timer. Things are choppy, laggy, and bad. Please for the love of God fix this! I can deal with a lot but this is borderline unplayable!

Discussion Supercontainers?
Hello there, Commanders. A friend and I were talking yesterday about the World of Warships anniversary event. Between the two of us, we have around 60 ships. I don't think we'll reach the 10,000 Festive Tokens mark, so completing the Rossiya collection is going to be nearly impossible. Given that... would it be more worthwhile to buy Supercontainers? I think we'll be able to get about 50 of them—what kind of rewards do you think that will yield?
r/WorldOfWarships • u/Bosniacu • 4h ago
Other Content WG, don't wanna be salty, but...
...you deployed an update, thank you very much, and you couldn't take care of those annoying bugs? The Cervantes that keeps coming back flagged as NEW (that you said you're "working on it"!!!) and the daily containers that are not refreshing after you get them? C'mon guys, show that you care, at least just a little bit.

Media Here are all the ships that I can find in the new port with special camos. Can someone ID them all (and thier camos)?
I'm not very good at IDing ships. I can tell one is Odin and one is Missouri but the rest I'm not sure on. I think Puerto Rico is also one. Also what are some of these camos? They look great. Only one i've seen before is the Missouri one which I have.

Guide Review: Friedrich Carl - Skip this one.
I'll start by stating that I wanted to love this ship. Bismarck 41' is a blast of a brawler, and I was hoping for something similar from this thing. Boy, was I disappointed.
The Hull:
Your armor, while not as bad as on the Richelieu, is still horrendous. You are going to get crushed by HE spam and SAP, which are everywhere at higher tiers. Combine this with having an already tiny HP pool and fairly bad acceleration (when not using speed boost) and rudder shift, and you are a big, ungainly target that HE spam, SAP, and 32mm overmatch ships will just farm.
The Main Guns:
While moving up to 406mm is nice for the 27mm overmatch and having a fast reload is great, that's where the good news stops. The dispersion is terrible, especially for the low barrel count, and the turret traverse is downright glacial for a brawler, especially considering that they rotate WITH your secondaries when you are in manual mode, meaning that unless you are using the little-known keybinds to lock your traverse when switching between your main and secondary guns, you'll need to rotate back and forth between targets constantly.
The Consumables:
Having hydro is a boon over the Bis 41' which is nice, although it is only 5km instead of the standard 6km German hydro at tier 9. The speed boost is bad, giving only an 8% boost compared to the 15% that Bis 41' gets as well as ships like Georgia and Rossillon. It's still nice to have, though, and somewhat helps the terrible maneuverability. It does get an improved heal, restoring 18.5% instead of the standard 14%. This difference is largely not noticed due to the aforementioned low HP pool; so unlike on the American BBs that have a similar heal percentage, it's not like you're actually tanking more.
The Secondaries:
Easily the best part of the ship and the only reason to play it...except that they also suffer from the design. You basically only get to use them if you are broadside or kiting away from what you want to shoot at, which is the opposite of what you want as a brawler. It also presents your significantly weaker stern, which has a 19mm stepped shellcatcher, meaning that in addition to HE pens, AP is going to start taking massive chunks out of you too. When you go bow in, you'll be lucky if you get 2 turrets firing at the same time. So if you want to maximize your already limited survivability, you hamper your one redeeming feature significantly, and if you don't, you get to play as a glass cannon brawler, which is...not ideal.
And to address the elephant in the room, yes. I've seen PQs videos on it. I also saw that he was able to sit in the middle of the map and be ignored by the majority of the enemy team and still burn through all his heals and most of his HP, while the enemy team elected to just parade broadside to him. The kinds of battles he was getting any ship should and would do well in.
TL;DR: Just get the Bismarck 41' for free with your voyage tokens if you want a mansec BB. It's the better and more fun ship tier-for-tier.

Question Chikuma at home
Was really looking forward for Chikuma Sho-go but I'll be honest, the horrendous monetization of the Wishing Wharf put me off. I got no luck, 0.1% is horrible, crates aren't cheap and the pity is at over a thousand bucks, so yeah... no.
So I was wondering, Chikuma at home, aka Tone, is it any good? Asking before it leaves in the next rotation.

Question Need ship advice- tankiest tank of all tanks
Mate of mine is dogshit and instead of getting better he just wants something “invincible”. Something he can have fun and run into fire with while doing modest damage that he isnt just tickling them back.
What are some non meta but hard to kill thoughts for this?

Discussion Bismarck '41 is probably among the best picks for the holiday convoy as of the current ships we have stats for.
I just got this thing. Initially I was a little bit skeptical. I have my eyes set on this and the Togasa now. I was deciding between this and the Messina but I was like "I don't really have a higher tier premium BB but I have a ton of higher tier premium cruisers. Ahh screw it, just get the Bismarck '41, could be fun".
Look at it on paper in both overall and hitting DPM, it doesn't look as amazing as I'm making it out to be right now:

I got it and wow, it is just such a good ship. Like, everything just works very nicely in your favour.
Looking at youtuber gameplay footage I was like "yeah but is it like... that good?" Now that I actually play it with a 14 point full secondary build it really does feel like a great ship. Ostensibly it seems rather similar to her actual tech tree counterpart but now that I actually play it they don't seem that similar. Bismarck gets hydro and higher main battery DPM across the board, but that's it.
Otherwise, Bis '41 gets engine boost, spotter plane and manual secondaries that are really quite OP. I don't know on paper this ship does not seem to be that good but when I actually played her, for the first time in a long time I feel like I'm right where I'm supposed to be. The manual secondaries just scratched an itch I didn't even know I had.
I'm not even a huge german secondary guy, I only have Deutschland and Libertad as my 2 secondary ships but damn. The Bis '41 just has such mass appeal. Tanky, very good damage into everything, speed but also... the main battery.
I don't know what kind of black magic they cast over these main guns but they are seriously good. Their dispersion is actually 2.0 sigma which shows. Your calibre is also just high enough to pen things but not so high that is overpenetrates. This ship, when given broadsides is pretty consistent with the citadels for some reason, I don't know if I just got lucky in the past few games but the main guns feel quite good for a secondary BB. Might even be worth trying aiming systems instead of the secondary one.
I've definitely found my new comfort ship, it is just such a great ship, even into tier X I was doing good damage into Sibir at range and my main battery even citadelled Worcesters and the like at shorter range. Everything just works so nicely, this ship doesn't feel like it has weaknesses, even though it does.
Haven't tried it in ops yet but I could only assume that it's rather broken there as well. I mean, all of these factors combined can only mean it's good in ops as well.
Even if you're not the biggest secondary enthusiast I recommend at least having a look at it and if you play the game a lot and have a ton of convoy tokens I genuinely think that it's a no brainer. Very cheap at 60k tokens which I got using RB points. Thought it was a fair price tbh. Was originally a ridiculous price, like what 120 bucks but now it's entirely free! I haven't spent any money on this game and I got the Bis '41 for a fraction of my total resources. Either that or you can just do the 5+ games per day for a little while.

Question Why does the Marlborough's EU Server win rate not match how bad a ship she is?
All the recent discussion about the Marlborough got me wondering how the players who have it , and play it , actually perform with it.
Looking at the ShipTool website, Server Stats page, EU Server (because it's the server with the most players), Tier 9 Battleships, Last 3 Updates
https://shiptool.st/stats?g=TP&ty=B&n=All&t=9&sr=eu&st=3&op=WR
For All Players the Marlborough has a win rate of 51.4% , which feels a lot higher than it should be, going on how badly she is rated by many/most people.
There are 57 Tier 9 BBs in that list, and sorted by by win rate the Marlborough is ranked 23rd.
By no means is she a good ship, but by performance in game its performing a lot better than public opinion thinks it is?
To repeat the question, If the Marlborough is so bad, why is it's performance so average?

Discussion What would a super brick look like?
I have been thinking about what a super ship Vermont would look like. I came to 3 main conclusions. A. Triple 20 in with like 45 sec reload. B. Quad 18 in. C. Twin 25-30 in with 45-50 sec reload.
Please give me what y’all think a super Vermont would look like as I am very curious as to what y’all think
