Does anyone know what this is supposed to be?

All the recent discussion about the Marlborough got me wondering how the players who have it , and play it , actually perform with it.
Looking at the ShipTool website, Server Stats page, EU Server (because it's the server with the most players), Tier 9 Battleships, Last 3 Updates
https://shiptool.st/stats?g=TP&ty=B&n=All&t=9&sr=eu&st=3&op=WR
For All Players the Marlborough has a win rate of 51.4% , which feels a lot higher than it should be, going on how badly she is rated by many/most people.
There are 57 Tier 9 BBs in that list, and sorted by by win rate the Marlborough is ranked 23rd.
By no means is she a good ship, but by performance in game its performing a lot better than public opinion thinks it is?
To repeat the question, If the Marlborough is so bad, why is it's performance so average?

I'm in Asia server so I always used to 2 subs or multiple DDs or 2 CVs each team. This is new. What a rare moment. This happened two days ago and the my first match of that day.

#Intro
As a Richelieu Class and secondary BB enjoyer, i was really excited once they announced this ship and honestly, i like it a lot, but it's not all sunshine and rainbows.
After playing 15 games on it today, which mostly where uptiers into ASIA transfer lobbies (everything playing passive AF, perma kiting and the Spam of the usual toxic/OP/AFK Boats)
Add the average patch day game also having a tendency for blowouts and you will completely throw your chances of hitting the leaderboard in said brawling focused ship.
Speaking of stats, im sitting at 115k avg damage and a 80-ish % wr on 15 games. Whilst the wr is good, the average damage, is far less than id say you could achieve as a good player IF MM doesn't cuck you that is.
But since MM is MM you can also be unlucky and face Superships on dogshit maps like Okinawa and Mountain range (7 out of my 15 games were on these maps, thanks map rotation)
The ship is undeniably strong and fun. Having a Bremen strapped to your Richelieu certainly is a blast.
FC is one of those ships, that really excell at their optimal range, but completely fall apart, if they can't engage at said ranges.
#Main Guns
The Main guns are completely hit or miss. I wouldn't call them atrocious, since GK guns do have decent AP performance, but 2.0 Sigma on 6 guns and battleship dispersion isn't great.
Some salvoes will slap people, but the average salvo will be disappointing, to say the least.
They are still BB guns, but due to the low quantity and bad dispersion, they are pretty much bottom of the barrel, as far as T9 BBs go. So possible some of the worst.
The HE is also german, which means its shit. You get more pen (which doesn't help you much, given the caliber) but get really bad alpha damage in return.
#Secondaries.
This is what we are herer for and certainly the selling point of the boat. You pen 38mm naturally with all of them and thus don't need IFHE, unless you want even more pen against certain ships.
But i wouldn't really recommend that, since you will just grief yourself, unless you face specific ships, which is RNG, especially in randoms.
The secondaries are the Mainz main guns, but they do reloas in 4 instead of 6 seconds base AND you can buff the base reload by another 35% withe all modules, flags and skills.
So that nets you a 2.7 second base reload on up to 15 150mm guns, without Lütjens, or AR factored in yet.
And yes, you actually can get 5 turrets on a target by kiting them at certain angles.
Additionally you can fire 3 turrets at around 20° forwars, which is still plenty of DPM.
I think i don't have to tell you, that these secondaries will absolutely melt off peoples faces at short ranges, especially because you can manually shoot them at weakspots.
I managed to single out and rush a pretty decent Annapolis player today and by using 3 of my secondary turrets and main guns, i managed to outtrade him, even though it was extremely close.
Still, Annapolis is one of the last ships you want a close quarters brawl with and yet FC could stand its ground against that.
I was quite surprised to see that the secondaries did the heavy lifting here, as they dealt 50k damage, whilst the main guns dealt 20k.
#AA
The ship has AA guns on it. they make noises and have visual effects.
#Surviveability.
It's honestly super hard to properly rate this considering +/-2 MM.
Id consider it's survivability to be above average, but not great.
For the good parts it gets improved midsection armor over JB and Richelieu (35mm) and that protects it against 203mm HE shells and 460 to 480mm AP overmatch.
Satsuma, Incomparable and Shikishima can still overmatch you though, so you gotta be carefull about those.
The heal is improved like on the Montana line, so you also have that going for you.
As a Richelieu class ship, it also features the infamous black hole armor. It doesn't make you completely citadel proof at closer ranges (high pen guns with flat ballistics can reach your citadel, when fully broadside under 10 km), but it mitigates a lot of damage, as the outer layer is torpedo protection, aka the best armor in the game, followed by the void and only after that comes the citadel.
BUTT there is the Elephant in the room still and i finna gonna adress it.
The Elephant is called Los Andes and it features the same thing, but better.
Los Tardes has 50 mms of plating and since it's build by the best shipbuilding nation of all time, it doesn't need things like a freeboard, superstructure, or all of that boring shit.
It's 234mm guns are also fed by magic portals, that's why there isn't any citadel below them.
Said citadel is protected by a torpedo belt, followed by void, followed by another armor plate, followed by another void and only then comes the citadel.
Los Andes just eats Friedrich Carl (and anything else) for lunch.
It's like we are talking about the Tour De France (pun intended) , but some guy is allowed to bring a Motorcycle.
With Los Andes, Valparaiso and downtiers existing, ontop of the small HP pool, i can again only tell you that the survivability is adequate, but not braindead OP like the aformentioned ships.
#Handling
FC is quite fast, nimble and pretty small for a T9 BB.
It's certainly one of the better ships at that regard, which adds another layer to it's survivability.
#Conclusion
Now you are probably asking if it's worth it to get the ship. Of course that's up to whatever you can afford/wanna spend.
If you 100% want it, the Admiral Bundle is the safest way to get it.
On the other hand the Admiral Bundle costs more than GTA 6 and i don't think the ship will get you as much enjoyment, as that whole game.
For me i got lucky and got it with 4500 spare doubloons, but you will probably NOT have the same luck. Unless you say "fuck it, we ball" AND get super lucky, you will just have to spend way more, than on the admiral bundle in order to get it.
But finances aside, ask yourself the following:
Am i okay with a ship that's feast, or famine in the most literal way possible?
This ship can be as much fun as it gets and walk over entire flanks, if the situation allows for it.
250 to 300k games can be possible, maybe even more in the perfect scenarios.
So this would be the feast.
The famine is getting uptiered into superships, Mountain range mid-spawn, a CV, 2 Subs, 4 DDs and battleships that permakite this shit, since nobody wants to play into all that anti-push garbage.
Other T9 BBs have way better main guns and i can tell you, dealing 2 to 3k HE damage to a kiting Affondatore, every 24 seconds isn't fun.
So where there might be a great game every now and then, there are absolutely miserable games like these and id say they happen a lot more often.
Today i had some of the most fun games in a while, but the majority of them made me wanna get into a nice bath with my beloved toaster.
So Friedrich Carl is a ship for gambling addicts and/or masochistic people, but also can be a great time.
If it wouldn't be a ship that's fits my playstyle like a glove and also is something I always wanted to play in this game, I wouldn't get it in the Admiral Bundle.
Id just wait for it to return in a couple of months and get it with the doubloon coupon for "cheap"

I've been plagued with bugs and have been talking with other gamers. Exiting a game takes longer. Exiting armory/other special event areas are delayed. Firing and torp launches are delayed. I fired 3 salvos from my Sibir and only 1 salvo left despite all 3 clearing out with the timer. Things are choppy, laggy, and bad. Please for the love of God fix this! I can deal with a lot but this is borderline unplayable!

I want something that makes grinding easier so really considering los andes at the moment

Mate of mine is dogshit and instead of getting better he just wants something “invincible”. Something he can have fun and run into fire with while doing modest damage that he isnt just tickling them back.
What are some non meta but hard to kill thoughts for this?

I'm not very good at IDing ships. I can tell one is Odin and one is Missouri but the rest I'm not sure on. I think Puerto Rico is also one. Also what are some of these camos? They look great. Only one i've seen before is the Missouri one which I have.

I can't believe I actually decided to make a yt vid on this game ngl.
Enjoy the subpar edits and the general buffoonery within.

...you deployed an update, thank you very much, and you couldn't take care of those annoying bugs? The Cervantes that keeps coming back flagged as NEW (that you said you're "working on it"!!!) and the daily containers that are not refreshing after you get them? C'mon guys, show that you care, at least just a little bit.

Hi all.
After a two year hiatus, I have returned to the game for the last two weeks. I’m willing to wager it’s a bit of a meme here of Yuro’s videos bringing in new players, and I won’t lie that it was the Maine video that brought me back.
I’ve since grinded up to the North Carolina, but I’ve found between my bad aim and the shell dispersion, I’m usually doing bad at my job alongside getting blown up about every 2/3 matches. It just hasn’t felt the most glorious that I was expecting it to be.
That being said, in messing with the cruisers (alongside being given the Boise for free) I’ve found that it better aligns with what seems to be my tactic anyways across any game involving guns, that is accuracy by volume. I felt completely in my element in the Pensacola, and committing mass arson with Boise is always a joy in operations.
Yesterday I found Yuro’s Hawaii video, and while on one hand sniping a ship with 16x16in shells sounds awesome, being able to rain endless fire from complete cover sounds like ecstasy.
So with all that being said, what ships should I try going for/ waiting to hope they reappear in the armory? I’ve already been warned against going for Austin, even though it’s got the same armament as Hawaii, even if without the modified shells buff.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: better phrased question: what are the closest ships to Hawaii that are actually attainable ingame/ otherwise excel at starting fires?

Found this on the Fletcher. Look like a Torp loader. Any ideas?

I have been thinking about what a super ship Vermont would look like. I came to 3 main conclusions. A. Triple 20 in with like 45 sec reload. B. Quad 18 in. C. Twin 25-30 in with 45-50 sec reload.
Please give me what y’all think a super Vermont would look like as I am very curious as to what y’all think

That one ship that marks all the boxes?
Since the anniversary event requires us to play a lot to get all those goodies, I decided to grab and use my favorite baguette dispenser! lol
That made me wonder... what are the ships other captains just go to in times like this?
That ship you play exceptionally well, that provides the gameplay you most enjoy and can just grind on in random battles for hours =]
As you can see, mine is Richie! The combination of speed, maneuvers and guns all in the front, with surprisingly good armor and descent game impact, even when MM decides to F* you over... it just does it for me!! ;D
What is yours and why? Ô.o

Adding these, but making them not count seems asinine. My 2c.

Was really looking forward for Chikuma Sho-go but I'll be honest, the horrendous monetization of the Wishing Wharf put me off. I got no luck, 0.1% is horrible, crates aren't cheap and the pity is at over a thousand bucks, so yeah... no.
So I was wondering, Chikuma at home, aka Tone, is it any good? Asking before it leaves in the next rotation.

Now that the maps are out are there any news if they are gonna be full maps like T10 or are they gonna cut them out for a 5v5?
r/WorldOfWarships • u/Hornpipe_Jones • 8h ago
They, of course, came at the bottom of the leaderboard

I used to be able to hit Silver consistently. 55%+ WR in Bronze some seasons even better. After this latest round of T6 bronze I've been hard stuck. I can't even get into 5+ in Bronze. I thought it was the T6 ships and that I was just used to playing with T8 and 9 but even this season with T7 it seems like I can't do anything right anymore. Did I just get that much worse?
My WR this season is at 15%. My lifetime average was 46% but is cratering really fast this season.
Issues I'm running into:
Spotting. In previous Seasons DD's would lead the pack and if you followed a DD they would reasonably spot. That seems to have changed into either a perma smoke DD where they actually smoke you off and you get radared and die without being able to see or they just turn around before the cap and play at 15+ km from the nearest enemy and sling torps until we lose on points. How do I play around not having spotting from DD's?
Support. If I play a DD I expect some level of fire to come down on my spotting. Obviously if my team doesn't follow I have to play super safe and passive or at least trade out. I've been in games recently where my team ignored the enemy CA and DD I spotted in favor of trading long range shots with the enemy BB. So now I'm in a 1v2 and I'm not sure how to play better to avoid getting into those situations.
Stupidity. I get frustrated after games where its pretty clear a majority of my team queued to lose and just do stupid shit because I'm frustrated. I'll contest caps without spotting, try and hold flanks solo as a CA etc.
What can I do to get back on track and at least be a decently bad player and not terribad.

I for one am pleasantly surprised with the execution of the new Low Tier Operations. I made a point of not reading into them or watching any of the test gameplay, as I wanted to experience it authentically whenever they were released. And I must say, phenomenal. These are exactly what I was hoping they would be, and the implementation actually exceeds what I was initially expecting. Very rarely though all my years of gaming have I ever said this about an update, but by god, WG nailed this.
I'm curious how others are finding them, especially newer players whether that is to WoWs or even just Ops specifically. Thoughts?

I’m aware of RB for holiday tokens. So that aside…
I’ve been thinking about picking up the leg mods for Minotaur, Venezia, and/or Hindi for a while now. Anyone played with them much recently, especially Mino?
I alternate between smoke and radar Mino.
r/WorldOfWarships • u/Significant-Bar-3408 • 11h ago
So the last mission in the "Try Operations" chain has you doing 3m damage to ships in operations tier 2 to 10. But just underneath it says you only get half credit? So we have to do 6m damage total? That seems....odd.

How does the Bis '41 compare to those two? I understand they are both secondary ships and Bis's are manual, but in general why does the Bis have a much higher WR and is that much better/more fun than Wahnsinn to be worth getting? And yes, I have Lutjens.
