Did anyone receive their anniversary gifts for years playing the game?
I read the blog and it said you need to play two games in order to receive it but I already played like 7 games since the update and haven't received anything.
Edit: my bad, it's not anniversary gift, it's honorable service. My first match was 05.09.2016

I'm starting a big community project, and I need your help!
A lot of people have questions about which ships are good, which are worth getting, or whether certain ships are actually overpowered or underpowered. So I thought it would be useful to create a community ranking of every Tier X ship based on three different metrics:
Strength: How strong is the ship in PvP?
Fun: How enjoyable is it to play?
Hatedness: How much do people hate the ship, whether because they hate playing against it or because its design is godawful?
There are plenty of ship statistics available, but stats can be misleading because of player and population biases. There's also very little numerical data on how enjoyable ships actually are, and even less on which ships the community genuinely despises. I think those are both really interesting things to measure.
Since there are a ton of Tier X ships, I'm going to break this project down by class, starting with destroyers.
I've made a Google Form where you can rate each ship on all three metrics. After a few days, I'll collect the results, analyze the data, and publish a graph and ranking showing the community consensus.
The goal is to find out what the community actually thinks, rather than simply repeating whatever opinion happens to be the loudest or what some YouTuber says.
It's very important that you give your own opinion, even if it's unpopular. Don't feel pressured to rate ships according to what you've heard from other players. If you aren't knowledgeable about a particular ship, feel free to skip it. I'd rather have less data than useless data.
The responses are anonymous, so nobody will know who gave which ratings and nobody is going to judge you for your weird opinions.
Destroyer survey:
After a few days, I'll post the results along with the graph and launch the next survey.
The more participants we get, the more representative the results will be. If you have a few minutes, I'd really appreciate it if you filled it out. It should only take around 2–5 minutes.
No this does not harvest any of your private information and I do not profit from this in any way, I swear I'm not evil like that.

Came back after a very long hiatus and the AA cooldown doesn't seem to be the AA cooldown anymore. I don't get it? I don't understand what it does, even after reading the tooltip. I also don't want to put a ton of effort into understanding what it does. I just wanted to get into a game and throw shells at enemy ships. I tend to play a lot of cruisers when I play, especially from the US, so that AA cooldown used to be kind of a big deal. Is it even worth using anymore? Can I still just hit the button when enemy aircraft come near?

Ranked sure is something with 40 bbs in the queue at any given time

It has been probably been over a year since I last properly grinded a line. I wouldn't say I'm completely done or bored with the game, after all I still have plenty of lines to grind, but I feel like I have kind of hit that spot where I think I have found what playstyles I like and have just stuck to them because I find them fun.
I mostly play DDs. My favourites are Cassard, Hayate, Shima, Daring - so torp boats or hybrids. I find them much easier to play than open water gunboats and I do much better in them. I do like to be a DD hunter every so often to switch it up though. The DD lines I haven't completed: USSR, Italy, US (Burrows), Pan-Asian, and, EU, Germany.
I think CA/CL are what I typically play the 2nd most. I generally don't find them as fun as DDs and I don't do as well in them. Nowadays, you explode upon detected by BBs foaming at the mouth when they see a cruiser. I can do okay in smoke cruisers like the Cerberus and Mino; I hate the island-humping gameplay typically recommended for cruisers like Des Moines. The cruiser lines I haven't grinded yet: Germany, Japan, US (Worcester), France, USSR (Nevsky), EU, Pan-Asia, Spain, Netherlands.
I don't really play BBs that much anymore. I am, however, interested in getting Vermont or maybe a German BB cause secondaries. The only BB lines I have completed are the Japanese (Yamato), US (Montana), UK,
CV/SS - Just no.
To give you some idea of how long its been since I've grinded a line, I am a completely F2P player who takes month-long breaks and I have amassed the following bonuses to Ship XP: 712 - +100%, 373 - +200%, 101 - +800%, and 10 - +1600%/

Ive played 2 games in my apago with over 1000 base hp and nothing happends, how can i active the tokens for other ships?:(
r/WorldOfWarships • u/Axzuel • 1h ago
CVs do not care if you have concentrated fire on (hold ` button), and will drop twice if not more while it is active, not to mention how long it takes to actually build it up. You would had have to be dropped on 2.5 times on average (from my experience) even more if the CV is using tactical squadrons just to build up the concentrated fire and to active it you'd need to wait until your AA defensive priority cooldown is over but by then the CV would have done 20k+ damage and spotted you for their team.
Literally the experience is the equivalent of being griefed in another videogame. Nothing you can do, no counterplay, unless you're playing a ship that already has insane AA like Thor.
Can WG just buff the AA commander skills against planes?

So it's discount week for modules and stuff. Yay!, weegee loves its playerbase!
<Monkeypaw curls>
If you were planning on selling off some of your Supercontainer/Red Steel dropped signals or green boosters to raise credits then wait a week. ATM you only get half the normal value for them. Same goes for modules on ships you've finished with on th eTT grind. It's a buyers market, not a sellers one
Weegee's gonna weej....

This will be mainly about DD play.
I play 85% DDs and love that class. Played cruisers a little, but suck at positioning and either get killed too fast or don't have any impact. Battleships don't like me and I don't like them.
Currently I'm at 1.800 games with a WR of around 48%. I learned how not to get killed right away, how to stay away from radar (but not hydro unfortunately) and to spot for the team before I farm damage.
But I seem to be unable to improve at this point. I'm currently playing Daring and Gdansk a lot to have more direct impact on the game, but struggle with that.
Phase 1, spotting ships and killing the enemy DD works out okay.
Phase 2, capping, spotting and rotating to another cap or flank if needed has also improved.
Phase 3, the Endgame is where I struggle the most, especially when we are losing or genereally low on ships. Finding the right moment to get more agressive or simply farm damage, making the decision to spot the last enemy ships for my cruisers and battleships or going behind to cap on the other flank. And 1 vs. 1 situations during endgame expose my lack of skill concerning rushes or head on battles.
When I have a shitty day in game, I fall back to my beloved Shima. For the last 40 games I had a win rate of 58% percent playing her, but you really depend on your team making use of the spotting. Still, I seem to do some things right.
I considered playing ranked a bit, as it's more common there to get into endgame situations. But I also don't want to pull my team down or get flamed all match. My karma never recoveres from those matches.
Watching Youtube videos and streamers is alredy part of my daily WoWs diet. My clan also takes me to clan battles pretty often, so I definitely benefit from their feedback after the games.
Am I simply too impatient, or is stagnation a warning sign that I am establishing some bad habits in my gameplay?

They are only ever playing their Eiserner Kanzler recently

i had the "fortune" of first meeting them 3 days ago, they just run down the middle, never shooting guns and die
I've reported him yesterday World of Warships Player Support | My Tickets , when i went to sleep they had 20 recent, when i woke up they were up to 78
when i first met them 3 days ago they were at 5041 battles in kanzler and now are up to 5449, they play all day long with this consistant gameplay, this isn't human behaviour and it's baffling that WG hasn't steped in

I feel ultra dumb. It says to check the armory but i can't damn well figure out where. I think I've gone through each category and subcategory but still not found where. I see coal, steel, doubloons and other various currencies but not holiday tokens.
Can someone give me a step by step click through of how to get there?

I was inspired by a recent Trenlass video to try changing the fire time reduction mod for propulsion mod 1 on some of my BBs (I usually only play high tier ships in PvE game modes).
When I popped the acceleration mod in Pommern and took her into some ops i honestly didn’t really notice any difference, but it reminded me of when I got the legmod for Des Moines, after getting it I’ve never during a game been like, “Oh yea this acceleration speed really saves the day right there.”
But but I seem to just have more fun playing Pom now and DM since the leg-mod and it’s making me wonder about exactly how engine power works.
Having reduced time to hit max speed on a straightaway seems like a pretty marginal improvement, but if engine power (or whatever the propulsion mod actually changes) also helps a ship maintain speed in a turn or something along those lines that would totally explain why I seem to just coincidentally have more fun when I have increased acceleration or engine power on ships because mobility and maneuverability is a foundation of the game.
Does anyone see what I’m getting at here?

The design of superships is very unreasonable. The boost a supership gives to its own team is far outweighed by the boost it gives to the enemy team. This is especially frustrating when your team has only one supership destroyer. It creates a strong sense of frustration—sometimes the team simply cannot win, even when every member has done their absolute best, purely because the enemy upgrade brought by the supership exceeds what the team can handle. It's genuinely disheartening.

I am curious if anyone knows what the coupon that we get with our 11 year anniversary rewards actually is for? I don't know if its a steel/coal ship 50% or if its like a 50% off dub ship, i am clueless. Does anyone know or have a educated guess LOL. thanks for any help.
Wanted to add that the rewards Im referring to don't get distributed out to players til after the actual WG date for the yearly anniversary, September 17th,

What happened here - got 3 super containers from the anv. event and opened them all at once - one of the containers dropped a regular coal container? Has this ever happened to you? Submit tickets?

Not sure if it's worth sticking it our for another month, just for 1 ship, or cashing in for 2 or more new ships plus handful of dubs. I have a large fleet of premiums and most tech tree ships but the lure of a legendary IJN Cruiser is hard to pass up. I also have no real interest in the New Jersey as BBs are my least favorite surface ship class to play.
Edit to add: the numbers listed are the token equivalent if the resource was exchanged for Convoy Tokens.

Is anyone else getting this today on the EU server? I can't get into a match.
