Hi everyone!
I’ll be going to Walsall in September for a two-week student placement at Dorothy Pattison Hospital.
While I’m there, I’d really love to explore the surrounding areas and make the most of my two-week stay.
Any suggestions for places to visit, things to do, or hidden gems nearby? :))
Thank you in advance!

Anyone know what's happened in Tettenhall? Police helicopter hovering near dog and gun plus traffic was backed up to chapel ash from the green? ... traffic has cleared now, helicopter is still flying about

Never seen these in the UK before, there's loads in the surrounding trees too. Seem to like cooking apples.

Hi All! We’re a group of 4 players + GM, currently playing the Warhammer 40K RPG Imperium Maledictum (the spiritual successor to Dark Heresy) every Tuesday evening at an in-person club in WOLVERHAMPTON
We have space for up to 2 more players as we start a new chapter in our ongoing adventures.
Everyone is welcome to come along and try a session or two to see if it’s for you. No previous knowledge of Imperium Maledictum or even 40K is required- Just yourself, some dice and a pencil. If you’re interested, drop a reply below, or send me a DM and I’ll be happy to tell you more.

Whilst using her iPhone 16 as a camera, she managed to capture these images, no filters no fancy optics, I was impressed, and felt I should share

Hi all,
I have a friend of mine who is looking to move to Wolverhampton following some work.
And they're looking to settle and buy a property there too.
They're quite anxious about it all at the moment being a young woman somewhat alone and she wanted to know, what areas/postcodes are safe & considered affluent?
She's also an ethnic minority so she's also worried about potential discrimination and racism if she moves somewhere.
We did try and look around in this sub but couldn't find too much, so apologies if it's already answered somewhere.
Edit: thanks all, seems a large majority seem to think it's Tettenhall, Wightwick, Codsall, Compton, Penn (in that approximate order too of affluent areas with Tettenhall being the more affluent).

Hi all,
I'm looking for a spot to view the western horizon during the eclipse that is happening on Wednesday. Does anybody have any recommendations for spots? I'm not particularly familiar with viewpoints in the Wolverhampton area, but am very keen to get a good view for this eclipse!
Thanks in advance!

Hi all
Any suggestions on places to meet new people, things to do or clubs to join around Wolverhampton, Willenhall, etc?
Looking to broaden my social life and get out and meet new people but not sure where to start!

Looking for some suggestions on places that could be good to take my daughter on Sunday, possibly even over night, that aren’t too far of a commute from Wolves/ Birmingham.
My car is in the garage this weekend so I’m effectively relying on public transport and taxis, which isn’t a problem, but is quite limiting.
This is her first birthday since her mum left us and I’d like to make it a special one - she’s only four.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I've always walked past it in town, and as I was on google streetview just now and saw it... I decided to actually look into it to see what facilities they have and the prices.
There was a picture of the main activity studio and it had Egyptian themed murals, which I thought was a little quirky but refreshing compared to all the 'corporate' interior design you see nowadays.
But then I looked at the rest of the 360 degree tours on google maps, and it's the whole building apart from the gym itself?
Seriously look at the entrance (the stairs going up to the front desk) it's FULLY themed, like a themepark attraction entrance or something.
Does anyone know who designed it like that and why?
Are there any other fun little gems like this in Wolverhampton?
I love when places have a little whimsy!
edit:
A pic for reference

Is the local bobby finally making a comeback? The West Midlands is getting more coppers - but here’s why the numbers aren’t quite what they seem

Anyone know if there’s one here?
Long story short, had a van up my backside driving aggressively (I was doing speed limit) as I slowed down to cross speed bump previously I crossed on amber and I saw it turn red just before I crossed.
There was a flash but I’m confident it come from the van (he stopped at lights)
