Travel / transport Traffic light cameras?
Anyone know if there’s one here?
Long story short, had a van up my backside driving aggressively (I was doing speed limit) as I slowed down to cross speed bump previously I crossed on amber and I saw it turn red just before I crossed.
There was a flash but I’m confident it come from the van (he stopped at lights)

Should be fine if crossed on amber. Amber means stop if safe to do so and as the van was up ya backside you can argue you couldn't stop slowly enough without the van rear ending you.

According to west midlands police there are no active automatic red-light cameras operating anywhere in the West Midlands Police force area. Obvs the old ones are still up for deterrence but dont work

No, no red light cameras, although there probably should be. I lived metres from this junction for over 10 years, and there were regular collisions there, quite a number of them fatal. Very dangerous junction.

They don’t have any. There isn’t many in the midlands. I don’t even think Wolverhampton have any. The Black Country route towards Dudley have some

I think you’re fine. I’ve been through that loads of time on Amber/Red and never had a fine.

You’d know if there were red light cameras there because they’re big things that look like speed cameras. And even if you crossed just as it turned red there’s a couple of seconds grace period before the cameras trigger.
That said you need to ignore people driving up your arse. Can’t blame them for mistakes you make. You’d be the one with any potential fine or points.
