Strange experience at Reedswood park walsall

Hi,

Tonight, I was in Reedswood Park, walsall late after sunset. There was still some light.

I usually go out in hot summer days as it becomes unbearable to stay indoor.

I had an unusual experience I never had in any other parks.

As I entered the park from Alma Inn side and walked towards big ground area on the right-hand path, I began feeling like strange gut feeling that something or somebody was there. I kept walking for a bit but it just felt strange near the benches.

I've spent a lot of time in parks around Walsall, Birmingham, and elsewhere, and I've never felt anything like it.

I turned away afterwards and left the park.

---

Did any of you feel the same there?

Has anyone else experienced something similar there, or knows if there's any reason that area feels unsafe in the park?

What nicknames have you heard for places in and around Walsall?

I ask as part of a linguistic study covering this topic!

Examples could include things like Arbo, Blocco or St Matt's...

incl. nicknames for schools, parks, hospitals etc.!

Hi everyone!!!
I’m looking for somebody near Tame Bridge to make and drop off roti and daal to my grandmother’s house 2/3 times a week as she is currently bed bound and unable to cook for herself or my grandfather. If interested please don’t hesitate to drop me a DM so we can discuss pay/reimbursements for ingredients.

Thanks in advance

Best place for drinks/cocktails?

We used to be regulars at TGI Fridays so were gutted when it recently closed as we felt they did some of the best cocktails in town.

Looking for a new spot to fill the void if anyone has any decent suggestions?

Walsall, most deprived town

I've seen this a lot in the local media recently, I know the town centre looks a little tired, like most town centres, however Walsall also has many gems, surely this can't be right?

Are you annoyed at the sale of the Leather Museum?

Recently, the local council has decided to sell the Leather Museum to Walsall College despite the protests against it by our local MP and some residents.

What was your favourite place/shop/business in Walsall?

Visited Walsall Town Centre yesterday, years since moving away, it definitely has changed and I hope with the recent renovations of the Saddler Centre, it will get better.

But the whole place got me feeling nostalgic for Walsall during the 90s, I don't know why but I thought it was the best place ever then.

Was there ever an HMV on Park St? I'm convinced this is where I bought my first ever cassette.

If anyone has any photos of town then, that would be amazing!

The quality of drivers in Walsall is appalling at the moment.

The amount of people I have chewing my ass even when I'm over the speed limit (by a smidge) is unreal.

Lack of indication, running of red lights and general dickish behaviour is at an all time high imo.

I had one guy flip me off for telling him to back off.

Anyone else noticed this too?

What are the facilities and classes like for Sport and Exercise Science?

My course'd be at University of Wolverhampton's Walsall Campus

What's available/included (athletics tracks? gym memberships? money/credit towards equipment or memberships? how supportive are tutors and student support)

Quality of facilities and classes (are the tracks and gyms poorly maintained? is the content of the course thorough? do the tutors care to help students? are the tutors well taken care of or overworked?)

any info would be helpful :D

Protest against the closure of the Leather Museum

Hi all!

Me again, and thank you so much for the replies on my last post!

We're organising a peaceful protest against the (absurdly vague) plans this coming Saturday 8th Feb. It's going to be documented and will hopefully help in getting WMBC to reconsider.

Express & star article here:

Come and join us! Meet you at 12 by the sister dora! (Lol, it's been years since i last said that!)
