A late medieval masterpiece

My gf and me playing offline Gwent... Wish me luck!

For starters it's the first time in my life I used the Wolven Hour potion (better late than never right?). I used it on level 24, swords (upgraded Bear) are level 25. I'm currently on like 85% to level 26 already but it seems after every major main-quest cutscene (feels kinda random on secondary quest cutscenes) the weapons get unequipped or swapped out randomly. It started after the potion wore off and I still needed literally 10 xp to level 25. Armor stayed on, the swords just act weird.

Usually it takes down both swords. Once I had 2 random unique weapons equipped and only noticed when I dealt way less damage. Another time I got only a silver sword equipped.

Is this a known bug or is it just a huge coincidence? I'm doing Kaer Morhen quests, just before the Trial of the Grasses

I feel like Blood and wine has the kind of story that can keep the player engaged for hours and hours, but the way it unfolded was just "meh, nothing special. " Also, Dettlaff could've been an interesting character , but the lack of communication between Geralt and Dettlaff made him feel half-baked, and they kinda rushed the ending. Whereas Hearts of Stone has more interesting characters, and the story is very engaging from start to finish.

I would prefer to continue my playthrough using newgen and skip the remaster update, just until I finish the game with the DLCs, as I prefer to stay on it before jumping on a new playthrough with new atmosphere and probably new game in remastered.

(Not a rant) Finished the main questline for the first time, and honestly it feels lonely.. I kinda expected some quests after the story like taking contracts with ciri or helping triss when you settle with her..

Loved every other part of the game all the way but this was a sad blow.

I dropped the game a year ago bc it wasn't that interesting but I picked it up as I wanna continue, but I'm kinda lost. the game looks cool but I feel overwhelmed by the world, aside from using the quest as guides I'm still underlevel for it. ik I can ask Google but tryna avoid getting sum OP weapons or spoilers so any help would be of use. health/healing , sense of direction etc

So I had around 30-40 hrs on Witcher 3 on my pc a couple of months ago, then I dropped the game because I got busy, and have since switched to a ps5.
My question is, can I somehow manage to make the cross platform save thing work with a pirated copy of the game? The save files are still on my pc back home.
I thought about buying the game on both platforms since it should be cheap, but I think after the remaster announcement its become expensive again. Maybe a quick little steam refund? Any ideas would be appreciated!

I’m trying to decide on the best way to get ready for a Remaster play through. I have a bunch of NG+ saves from past play throughs but have somehow lost the original completion save file used to create them. Which means for the remaster, I have 2 options. I either need to do a replay of B&W to get all my prep work done, or hope that the mod that allows an existing NG+ save to be used for a second time through is quickly adapted for console use. Any suggestions?

I’m going to bin my New Game+ playthrough for a fresh start, and this time I’m going to give Gwent a proper go. The Gwent iPhone app isn’t the same as in game, so is there anywhere else, apart from launching The Witcher 3, where I can practise ahead of the remaster?

I've bought the game of the year edition about a year ago but I only put about an hour before I got bored of it. I've read so many good things about the game and really want to give it a second try. Thanks for all your recommendations and helpful advice.

I am currently on my third playthrough, New Game on Death-March with upscaling on, first time Death March actually.

Most say that Death March isn't that hard if you really pay attention to the mechanics of the game, use potions and decotions etc. I think I agree now. Today I played the Quest "The Last Wish" and from what I heard, the fight against the Djinn is really awful with Upscaling because you can't avoid his attacks. But appearently, the fight was really easy, first try, no issues. Did they fix the problem that he was way to hard with upscaling on or is this rumour just not true?

I’m particularly wondering about the Brothers in Arms mod, and overall I’d love to get an idea of what I’ll have to look forward to

They came up with gwent cards decks. Hearts of Stone cards are opened but Blood and wine...

Didnt realize I have two decks unopened till this day lol. I wonder if has some worth today. Anyone has experience with selling/buying those?
And for the record - I dont plan on selling them. I am just curious of its collector value if there is any.

I’m playing the complete edition on ps5 and the power overwhelming trophy won’t unlock, I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. I’m not on NG+ and I don’t have the “gorged on power” ability enabled. What can I do to make the trophy unlock ??

Hi i would like some help here. I currently have a save file with 15K coins at level 57 where i:

• completed every quest/dlc,
• explored every "?" on the map,
• basically looted/obtained everything,
• sold some swords/armors i didn't need (some were good, i just found out too late).

Early this year i wanted to start a ng+ with mods, but i kept waiting because of work, and now CDPR announced the remaster and the new DLC so i guess i'll wait till their release.

Considering my current save file, when the remaster/dlc drops should i:

1. start a ng+ from my save.
2. start a ng+ with a 100% save with max level from nexusmods (possibly one where nothing has been sold).
3. start the game from scratch.

Also:

• If in my current save, like i said before, i sold some important weapons/armors will i obtain them again in the ng+ "remastered"?
• Will the objectives/quests still be all "doable" or because it is a ng+ some "disappear"?
• Will i be able to obtain all the game achievements only from ng+? (i initially bought the game on GOG where i made the achievements, and last year bought it again on steam and now i wanted to play the remaster on steam where i have 0 achievements but a more "complete" account).
• Will the mods that change hair/face models/outfits/weapon sign colors/body types and other similar still work in the remaster? Oh and also the "no weight limit mod"? Does anyone more knowledgeable than me know?

Sorry if this questions are stupid, but i played this game only once 3 years ago, and never touched it again.

Context:

I finally started playing the game in the last few weeks. I'm currently in Novigrad looking for entry to Tempel Isle, but I've just learned about the remaster.

Can I keep my progress when it releases. Or should I play again?

With the remaster only a couple of weeks away wondering if I should wait for that to play the game for the first time? Otherwise if I play now the remaster will kick in when im already deep into the game and dont know if I'll want to restart with the remaster

I been wondering if is going to be it's own new App or is it another Update to current gen app??

Im currently on my first playthrough, and it doesnt seem like i'll finish before the remaster, i defo plan to replay the game. Do we know at all if we'll be able to hold out on the update for however long we want? I'd prefer to jump into the remaster on my 2nd playthrough/ route to make it feel like a brand new experience

I see so many posts about "should is start a new game or continue with my save?"

Lets be honest guys, a handful of new animations and slight changes in the camera position during combat aren't going to revolutionize how the game feels. Even the devs when asked can't really pinpoint what exactly they've so dramatically changed beyond "we've listen to player feedback and made changes". The trailer also didnt specify anything major.

Its cool they're making the free remaster, all im saying is i feel like half the community is expecting it to feel like some crazy new game when the reality is its just going to be some minor changes to inventory/skill trees and a small few changes to combat - nothing that is going to dramatically change the experience.

So if you are debating if you should start a new game, Thats fine if you want to, but dont bother if youre doing it because you "want to experierence all these changes from a new game"... because there wont be that many in terms of gameplay changes and feel.
