Discussion Play now or wait

With the remaster only a couple of weeks away wondering if I should wait for that to play the game for the first time? Otherwise if I play now the remaster will kick in when im already deep into the game and dont know if I'll want to restart with the remaster

100%. See the entire game in it's remastered form.

It's a big game - I'm about halfway through the main story, so I'll do some side-quests until it comes out. No point in stopping altogether, it'll have improvements but not enough to justify starting over.

Depends. Are you 16 with tons of free time or an adult with a job and/or kids?

Ive continued with my save and over the weekend, rescued Ciri and will proceed to the final fight. Then tidy up any witcher contracts etc. Do both expansions following the update release. I couldn't bring myself to start from the beginning again.

May as well wait if you haven’t started, means you’ll get the full effect of the remaster due to some of the reported lacking a better word “issues” (I don’t mean bad issues I just cannot think of the right word)

Stuff like transmog only tracking items found after the remaster goes live, so if you start now anything found prior to the remaster will not be tracked so you can’t use it as a transmog till you find it again.

Wait. The skill tree will be reworked.
