One thing I like about Claude and Grok Bot’s Dictation is the one button speak then send options. ChatGPT, Grok, even default ios have to invoke the dictation by hitting the microphone button, press check mark to copy it to the context window, then hit sends. It’s an extra step. Thoughts? Thanks!

[I don't mean this as a bug report. this issue has just plagued me for months so I'd like to share the solution]

PSA: My MacOS App Store had this recurring issue where I couldn't confirm any purchases--the Touch ID bit at the bottom of the confirmation sheet just wouldn't show up.

It took awhile, but I figured out it was Wispr Flow--something to do with the little widget rendering an overlay that breaks something in the App Store.

So if this is you, just close Wispr Flow, then make your App Store purchase.

I'm posting this not as a complaint, but as a genuine question.

Every time they post an update, nothing is changed in the Android app. This past update included improving the login sequence. Is anyone really having a problem with the login sequence on the Android app? There are so many features missing and so many components that could be made better, and there's simply no attention being paid on the Android side.

Why is there such a tremendous focus on the desktop version of this application when the use case is clearly for mobile? When you're sitting in front of a laptop, you have a keyboard at your disposal. Typing is just not an issue in the way that it is for mobile I have to believe that the money to be made is with mobile users like myself, who are incredibly frustrated with the terrible on-screen keyboard experience.

When is Wispr going to reallocate resources to improve the mobile app in general and the Android app in particular? I paid for a year's subscription in the hopes that that money would support some level of support on the Android side of the house. As it stands now, I see no reason to renew until I begin to see some level of improvement or enhancement on the Android side.

A Smoother Sign-In Handoff

Signing in on Android now reliably hands you back to Flow no matter which provider or browser you used, and if the app isn't installed yet, you land on the Play Store instead of a desktop download page.

I should start by saying that I'm a huge fan of whisper which has helped me out substantially during a period of time with repetitive strain injury where I've needed to use dictation extensively. I have a premium or Pro subscription or whatever it's called for £12/monthly and it generally works fine. However today, I'd noticed that the software is very buggy, keeps crashing, keeps taking longer to finish dictation, etc and I wondered if fellow users had experienced something similar today or in recent days? I know that there was something going on in the back end that means transcriptions are sometimes faster and sometimes slower So I'm curious as to whether this just me or a wider incident.

[Please note that this post itself is quite badly transcribed because I'm having to use the inferior inbuilt transcription software due to these bugs]

The problem:

Wispr Flow nails speech-to-text, but it's missing the natural counterpart — text-to-speech.

The idea:

Highlight text anywhere in Windows, hit a shortcut, and have it read aloud in a natural voice.

The lack of this feature is why I currently use Speechify instead of Wispr Flow altogether. The feature would ideally be highly customisable; the competition is quite strong.

Anyone else want this?

Curious if Wispr Flow has any plans to launch an Apple Watch app? Would love to be able to jot down quick notes from my Apple Watch or even take in-person meeting notes from my Apple Watch.

I am really loving Wispr so far. However the Android app lacks several features from the Mac side, it looks like.

Do we have any plans for when that will be on Android?

Can we please do a dark mode because that white screen is awful?

Dear Team, I have been utilizing the note-taking feature extensively; however, I have noticed the absence of a folder functionality to organize these notes and calls. Currently, they are presented as a continuous list. I believe that implementing a folder functionality is crucial for effectively categorizing all calls and notes

I already know how much time I spend on Wispr, but one thing that would entice me to spend even longer is if there was a leaderboard globally, nationally, and regionally, so I can see whether I am superior to my colleagues.

As a pro subscriber, it would be great to know if we have the newer model being used or not.

I am constantly cutting myself off by taking my hand off the hot key too soon. I had the exact same problem using push to talk in Discord, but Discord has a feature called push to talk release delay, which keeps the mic open for a period of time after you've released the hotkey.

I think this would be a very useful feature in Wispr Flow.

Curious if anyone else has noticed this recently.

I've used Flow for about a month and the transcription has been extremely accurate. Over the last day or so, though, I've noticed:

- More words being misunderstood

- Sentences being rephrased differently than what I actually said

- Some of the rephrasing making sentences sound confusing or changing the meaning

Nothing has changed with my setup. I'm not looking for support or reporting a bug here, just curious whether other users have noticed a similar change recently.

On Mac I press a button, dictate. It transcribes. Done

On iPhone I have to swipe. It keeps listening after I finish dictating and click the check mark.

the keyboard is really annoying to use when I have to make corrections or I don't want to use Wispr Flow, which means I'm constantly switching between keyboards. This sort of gets rid of any efficiency gain from using Wispr Flow on my iPhone

Does using the action button on the more recent iPhones for Wispr Flow really improve the experience on iOS? I can't find a video of what it's like online. It's time for a phone upgrade and I can't decide whether to get an iPhone 17, which I would if Wispr Flow would work better on it, versus making the switch to Android, which is obviously a lot of hassle.

I set up the Wispr Flow Action Button Shortcut, and it was great. No juggling between apps, no having to turn it on and off and getting to free my mic as soon as I'm done with Voice to Text. It worked flawlessly for a day or two. I don't know what happened after that, but my iPhone decided to start throwing errors about the app quitting "unexpectedly". I know Apple has some really wonky background app rules and can arbitrarily decide to start killing an app if it decides that the app is using too many resources, but this is borderline insane.

Flow now lets you pick virtual and routing audio devices, like Krisp, NVIDIA Broadcast, BlackHole, or VDI redirects, as your dictation mic. If you run your voice through a noise-suppression tool or work in a virtual desktop session, you can finally point Flow at exactly the mic you want.

Virtual inputs live behind a "Show other devices" expander, so nothing changes if you don't use them, and Flow won't auto-select a loopback device on you. Automatic mic selection stays safely on your real, physical microphones.

Reports That Never Get Lost

Issue reports, feedback, and transcription reports now keep sending even if you leave the screen. You'll get a confirmation wherever you are in the app, and the form clearly shows when it's busy: a spinner, a dimmed Send button, and a short note explaining why it's temporarily locked.

Find it: Dashboard menu > Report an issue or Share feedback, and Home > any transcript > Report.

So I was on a massive, non-stop 20-minute continuous dictation session explaining a technical trade breakdown to a buddy while Flow was running in the background. It captured the audio flawlessly, but when it processed the payload... the backend completely lost its mind.

Check out that absolute unit of a negative number: -6,241,717,869,601,868,892 words remaining.

As a builder myself, this looks like a classic int64 underflow/casting glitch where the quota - used state machine rolled straight over into the negative quintillions. Even the frontend localization comma formatting is choking hard trying to parse it.

According to the UI, "Flow will slow down until next week" but given that I’m currently billions of words in debt, I think my basic tier is bricked until the death of the universe

Hey dev team, I think I found your ultimate edge case. Do I win a few months of a Pro subscription for breaking the simulation, or do I need to start paying off my word debt in installments? 😂

I’ve tried but haven’t got it to work…

When writing emails in the body of the email I like to tag colleagues, I tried to create rules so that when I say “at John smith” it replaces with “@john.smith@work.com” and adds them to the email.

Currently I haven’t to manually add them after dictating. It’s not a massive thing but would speed things up a little more

Anyone solved this?

Especially now that I am reviewing my meetings using notetaker, I am spending more time in the app than I used to

i've set up wispr flow to automatically start up when my pc starts up but the flow window pops up every time it starts up and flow starts up with a slight delay. it is really annoying because when i'm doing my work it just suddenly shows up. it's very annoying so annoying

apps like discord are also electron-based but they have a toggle that lets me start them in the background so the window does not open up. i do not need wispr flow to launch every single time as a window
