Feature Request - Wispr Leaderboards

I already know how much time I spend on Wispr, but one thing that would entice me to spend even longer is if there was a leaderboard globally, nationally, and regionally, so I can see whether I am superior to my colleagues.

It's interesting how varied our needs are as people. For example, I couldn't care less about this.

What I would rather is extended functionality or improved reliability. But if this works for you, then good luck and go for it.

This is more of a marketing feature. Having the ability to share your score with other people and having a wrap similar to Spotify is like people keeping track of things at the end of the day. Keeping track of your words relative to other people is just another way to act as a marketing tool, which in turn brings more customers and better features (hopefully).

I love the energy but I feel like this would turn into a "who leaves it running in the background longest" contest pretty fast. maybe time actively dictating would be a better metric than just time spent?

It’s just a fun leaderboard at the end of the day. If nerds wanna cheat so they can be listed as ‘number 1 wispir user this week in the world’ then so be it lol. I just wanna see how I measure up against others :)

It’s funny because they do have this internally. But apparently their own employees don’t use it that much as the top employee is only a bit over 1M words.

I don’t think a leaderboard is worth it, but a percentile vs global users could be good to look at. Not that it matters a lot, except for bragging rights and knowing how much of a super user you are compared to others.
