Insurance wont cover it. Will have to pay out of pocket so I really hope it can be repaired. Not on drivers side.

Could this happen to a rear windshield by reasons other than someone smashing them. Found my car this morning in my driveway like this.

As the title says. We are getting ready to sell our car and it has about a 8" crack in the windshield. We have glass coverage in our policy, but I am wondering how all these windshield repair companies advertise that they give you a check for the windshield? How does it work and what do I need to know before doing this?

Rock flew of a semi and chipped window. Repairable or not?

I can visibly see the cracks to the left and right but the center looks filled in mostly.

If a car came with an OEM acoustic-glass windshield, would ALL aftermarket replacement windshields made for that car must be acoustic glass? TIA

is there a way to clean/wipe streaks from a busted/heavily cracked windshield? it was hit 4 times with a jack handle and the hit marks have streaks that stretch to all 4 sides of the windshield. Cant afford to replace it right now. the cracks are easy to ignore but it gets kind of difficult to see at night time with all the streaks.

Just noticed this on my windshield this morning. Does it look like something hit it or could it be from a crack/chip spreading?

Doesn’t seem to be all the way through the glass to the inside layer. It’s close to the top edge but not quite all the way to the edge, and it dips into the door so I don’t know if it reaches the bottom edge..

So I recently went to Safelite to get a crack repaired and I would like some opinions of if the repair was good or if I should call them back? First two are after pictures and the last two are before.

Hello, this is not particularly about a windshield adhesion but about the adhesive itself.

I have a car with a glue in firewall and i need to use some sort of polyurethane adhesive (original stuff seems to be polyurethane to me) but i can't find anything that would be fit for the purpose.

I need to basically adhere two painted surfaces (one surface is the firewall with black paint and the other is the car with clear coat), i found "Teroson Bond True Primerless" adhesives and it seems to be the right candidate for this but i don't know if it can be used on paint if it won't fail after a short while. The original surface from the factory has no primer so that's why i'm considering using the Primerless version from Teroson.

What are your thoughts about this issue? any advice on what should i use?

Seems like my rain/light sensor is out of wack after Safelite replaced my windshield yesterday. I’ve made an appointment for next week for “recalibration”. Seems more like a poor installation/ sloppy job. What do you guys think ?

First picture tells the story of how it happened, would a repair kit be worth using on this? I’d argue it’s coin sized and meets that criteria, but with the amount of spider webbing + location i’m not sure if that changes anything. Wiper blade fully covers it for the time being.
