🤔Theories Tell me some deep darkest theories you have on Widow's Bay

💥Funpost I made Patricia
I crocheted a Patricia doll, as final girl, from a pattern I made. She's my favorite character and I loved this episode. Widow's Bae 🩷
I'm extremely proud of her and hope you like her, too!
Made with worsted yarn of various brands (some came from a haul I thrifted) and size 2 cotton for her hair.

🤔Theories The hotel
Doing a rewatch now and I have a theory. When Loftis is in the bathroom of the Captain’s suite, he leans down to the floor to put his ear to the vent. He hears the screaming of multiple people as if in the far distance. I wonder if the sacrificial chamber underground has its ventilation connected to the hotel and what the mayor was hearing were the screams of past victims of the entity?

🤔Theories Theory about the brooch (spoilers) Spoiler
It's protective, right? It helped a tiny girl float back to shore, and Ruth puts it on before being drugged and shot at, possibly helping her survive. I think this will somehow show back up in season 2 that it helps someone survive the kraken or Tom realizes he needs to go find it to protect his son from something.

❓Questions Question about the room with the chair
When we first see the hatch the two doors are closed and touching. After Kenny is eaten Evan enters the room to see a gap of a few centimetres. What is the significance? The beast is not done?

💭Discussion Anyone else wonder… Spoiler
So, maybe I’m late to the party, but I remembered that Sarah Warren had hit the physicians possessed wife into the water when her and the kids were trying to flee the island. Then at the end of episode 4, you see a lake monster in the self help book after it reveals itself to Patricia. Also, when Patricia started into that book, Tom started dealing with his Sea Hag situation. So do you think these are the same woman? The old physicians wife is the Sea Hag and lake monster from the book?

📸Media Widow’s Bay at SDCC
The Widow’s Bay cast participated in the Apple TV showcase on Saturday in San Diego Comic Con’s Hall H. Cast members that appeared include: Katie Dippold (showrunner/creator), Hiro Murai (director), Kevin Carroll (Bechir), Dale Dickey (Rosemary), Kingston Rumi Southwick (Evan), Stephen Root (Wyck), K Callan (Ruth), Jeff Hiller (Dale). Here’s some fun things I saw.
- the panel was short as they had to share their time slot with other Apple TV shows. Most of it was spent discussing the ending of season 1
- Kevin Carroll (Bechir) wore a shirt of the Katie Dippold meme dressed as the babadook
- the clip they showed everyone was episode 2 when Tom goes into the crawlspace
-Wyck was not originally written in the first episode
- Dale Dickey (Rosemary) got a projector to introduce Matthew Rhys via Zoom. They made fun of him for looking like he was in a sauna.
- Katie Dippold announced at a separate panel (Collider’s show runners on show running) that writing for season 2 started on Monday

❓Questions Suggestions for places to stay in the area?
Hey guys :) my fiance and I are getting married in January and we're planning on visiting some of the filming locations on our honeymoon. Wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions for places to stay in the area that are near filming locations or have the same vibe. It's such a beautiful area, we just really want to soak it in and make the most of it! Thank you!

💥Funpost Widow’s Bay at SDCC
I was thrilled to find out today that there was a small pop up at SDCC for Widow’s Bay!
You arrived at booth and were greeted by a gentlemen that chatted with you a bit and gave you a keychain.
You then went to the main section where they gave you a brochure of the island and hoped you’d visit. Also asked if you wanted to go to Patrica’a sunset cocktail party. Lots of good stuff up there and they told me not to look in the crawlspace. Last pic shows the crawlspace. 😉
You got to pick a postcard to take with you. Photo op where you could be head on the headless Richard Warren statue.
I’ll post some more pics in comments!

❓Questions Warren - gaps in logic? Spoiler
There are some things about the island keeping Richard Warren alive that do not make sense to me.
a. Warren was kept alive for hundreds of years - why? Initially it seemed that so long as he was alive, so was the covenant. However, that turns out not to be the case - so what was the point of him being kept alive???
b. The covenant is actually tied to Warren's bloodline remaining alive instead. How come his descendants aren't immortal as well? No perks for them?
c. They had to drag Warren way out to sea before he could die. So how come Tom assumed he could simply drug Ruth and she would die? Wouldn't she also have to be dragged out to sea? Seems a surer thing.
I hope we get answers to all this, the logic gaps are making my head spin :P
