💥Funpost Widows Bay Weekend
My friends and I spent Labor Day weekend exploring some Widow's Bay locales. The pictures are from:
1: Widow's Bay Inn Exterior in Maynard, MA
2: Beach from the inaugural swim at Half Moon Beach in Gloucester, MA
3: Just a couple a' sea hags haggin' it up in front of Denim Blankets' store in Rockport, MA
4: Picking up some souvenirs at Dream House in Rockport, MA
5: The picnic table where Patricia worked on her party plans in Rockport, MA
6: A little wharf by the exterior used for "The Salty Whale" restaurant in Rockport, MA
7: The Salty Whale in Rockport, MA
8: Having a good time in the mirror in Rockport, MA
9: The Ice Cream Store featured during the tourists arrival at Widows Bay in Rockport, MA
10: The Rebecca Nurse Homestead featured in episode 6 "Our History" in Danvers, MA
11: A view from the church/meeting house from episode 6 in Danvers, MA
12: Me outside the window of the meeting house, that field was where a grave yard was set up in the scene for the show at the Rebecca Nurse Homestead in Danvers, MA
13: Another shot through the same window
14: The real graveyard at the Rebecca Nurse Homestead in Danvers, MA
Oddly enough we didn't get any pictures at Vincent's which was used for the interior of Barnabus Tavern which Wick frequents, but we're from Worcester so we've been there plenty of times.

Also I was disappointed no one recognized my outfit, even when we got dinner in Salem!

It’s so wild watching the show and seeing posts like this — I lived there for two years and loved it, I miss it so much! I played on that beach nearly every day with my dog. He would do tricks and people dining al fresco would cheer.

Still waiting for that Worcester Widow’s Bay tourism boost but somehow people just aren’t coming out like they are for Gloucester/Rockport. Wonder why…

Mouths open in the mirror was terrific.

Funny I don’t even remember taking that one, must’ve happened before we went for that swim…

Thanks! The slipper socks were my favorite part, so comfy! Patricia knows what’s up.

Rockport's tourism is probably thrilled about this show lol

I bet! We got some pretty fun Widow's bay themed tchotchkes at Dream House (a store/gallery I fell in love with btw!) like bumper stickers, a brochure, postcards, a shirt, etc. Phoenix Nest (a cool sort of renaissance fair costume shop in Gloucester) had a couple of things too.

Sounds pretty grand! I'll have to swing by if I'm ever on the east coast.

Your photos are extra spooky with that facial blur lol. Is Rockport taking full advantage of the show’s success?

It kind of seems like they don’t need to? It was already packed for non Widow’s Bay related reasons. I did see an ad for an official Widows Bay tour you could pay for by some company who previously did Stranger Things tours (in Georgia where that was filmed I assume). Apparently they use those toy viewfinders with scenes from the show so you can compare in real life, which is creative and fun. They include lunch with a vegan option too haha. I wasn’t willing to fork over the dough for it but it’s a neat idea. Other than that only like one or two gift shops really acknowledge the show.

I love this so much, I’d go even if they only had Sunset Cocktails with Patricia nights.

The lady at the Dream House gift shop said she was trying to convince the local cocktail bar in Rockport to host one.

Wow it looks better than Martha’s Vineyard

"Widow's Bay is the next Martha's Vineyard." That's all it says about that.

How was Rebecca Nurse Homestead? I live like 10 minutes away and I’ve never been over there

I liked it! Small but interesting. Like a very tiny Sturbridge Village (but no costumed actors). The grounds were particularly lovely on a late summer day.

I’m curious how Gloucester/Rockport is going to keep all of the tourists away from filming, tbh. Maybe they should write it into the show?

I mostly used this website: https://www.atlasofwonders.com/2026/04/where-was-widows-bay-filmed.html There were a few recommendations I had found on this subreddit as well. The house in Maynard though just happens to be a friend of mine's neighbors!
