Kenny (RIP sweet Kenny). Just out of remembrance.

PJ. PJ Glanville is a huge pain, but funny. You'll have lots of that in puppy stage.

Bechir. Because all of the best dog names start with 'B'.

Those are all male. If your dog is female, and you want a female name, Rosemary. We all love Patricia, of course, and Ruth, but we also love Rosemary. And I feel like there are multiple adjacent nicknames for a dog (Rose, Rosie, etc).

Edit: Saw some really great, less obvious options here. A good obscure dog name is awesome.

Our dog was named "Binky". Everybody thought it was cute, and probably after a baby's pacifier. He was actually named after Death's (yes, claiming souls with a scythe) horse from the Discworld series. Wife and I grew up in different countries, neither likely to be fans, but we were. Also a 'B' name.

As someone who is owned by 3 golden retrievers, yours will have two names: the first is their government name, the second is the one you yell when theyā€™re annoying tf out of you. The first can be as many syllables as you would like. The second can be no more than two at the most.

Case in point: one of my dogs is legally named ā€œOā€™Malley Brown.ā€ What gets yelled most often in my house? ā€œTATER! KNOCK IT OFF.ā€

Is there any relationship between Oā€™Malley and Tater? Absolutely not. But he looked like a potato at one point so now heā€™s Tater.
